EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

Rating: P for Points! (Keep it PGish, folks. Anything worthy of a higher rating can be brought to your appointments posts.)

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[Who's got two thumbs, a pegleg and can't catch a break? This guy!]

[Day 1]

[Hiccup starts out his scavenging days in The Nile, seeing as that is where his house is. He wakes up in a rather unfortunate costume, considering the temperature outside and the fact that this is, indeed, a slave's outfit. When he heads outside to greet Toothless and feed him some fish in the backyard, some very angry foremen start chasing after him for skipping out on his daily work at pyramid construction, and Hiccup doesn't even have time to saddle up on Toothless before he has to run and hide.]

[The rest of Hiccup's adventures in blunderland continue in much the same pattern. Wherever he goes, someone seems to have it out for him. So when he's not running from enraged NPCs (often brandishing weapons), he's hiding out in any place he can find, whether it be someone's home, a community house, or any of the other establishments in Luceti. He just wants to catch a breather while he can.

While running between lands, he can be caught in the following (terrible) outfits: Gangland, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate.]

Day 1 cause Kirk's at the Nile too....

<sub>[He had been wandering along the Nile with Spock, enjoying the history present around him. So he had been a tad of a history and a science geek, but what can he say? He was a bright kid, he just didn't always enjoy applying himself so much.

But if there was one thing he could apply himself in, it was helping the down trodden. And hiccup looked down trodden. Or in this case, being chased. They were near some river reeds, so without ado he reached out to grab Hiccup and tug him into them to hide until the guards ran past. Let's just hope he can make the grab considering he wasn't up to his physical best yet.]</sub>

[Hiccup isn't exactly expecting to be pulled out of his trajectory, so he lets out a surprised yelp when he is yanked into the reeds. It's not a very flattering sound, but at least he manages to shut himself up when he realizes he's being helped and not captured.

He collapses into a heap and watches the confused foremen go by.]

Wow - uhh - th-thank you!

<sub>[Kirk grinned at the young man, motioning for him to be quiet still as he waited for them to get fully clear.

Finally he released him and began to wade back out of the water and to the firmer banks.]</sub>

Well, that was exciting. What did you do? Make fun of their beards?

Day...3 idk

[It just so happens that Luke has settled in for a small variety of Asianesque snacks in the Shogunate when an exasperated-looking Hiccup runs by. Followed by...well, a small squadron of men in black pajamas.

Luke watches the ninja go by with a mouth open wide enough to catch flies in; after they've run past Hiccup's latest hiding spot, he hops off the stone he's sitting on and sneaaaaaks over to the decorative garden thing he threw himself into.

There's likely a koi pond back there or something, huh?]

Hey, Hiccup? Are you okay over here?

[dragoneer]

[Hiccup, out of breath, peeeeeers out from behind his rocks hesitantly, even though he knows that's Luke's voice. They could still be out there! Looking for him! But...looks like the coast is clear. He lets out a heaving breath.]

H-hey, Luke. Yeah, Iiiii think so. Just - give me a minute.

[hisapprentice]

Sure! Actually, hold on.

[And he runs off again, nearly tripping in his weird Shogunate shoes. When he comes back he's carrying something wrapped up in a fancy cloth. And beaming.]

Do you want some lunch?

Ice Age! idk what day!

[Hiccup, Hiccup, no, what did you do? What did you do to anger an entire herd of mastodons? You're such a tiny thing, how is it even possible?

Oh well. It works to Draco's good fortune, because he's out there soaring above the icy landscape in search of the exact thing that happens to be stampeding after the lad. With the herd distracted with chasing him, they don't notice the similarly sized beast bearing down on them from above until it's too late.

The lead mastodon trumpets, nearly upon Hiccup with its great crushing feet, when a roar splits through the din and a massive weight slams into the wooly creature before it can step down on any tiny, crushy humans. Draco and the mastodon go sliding across the snow and ice, suddenly locked in battle.

It will be a short lived one, considering the force he hit the mastodon with, but it isn't done for yet!

Thankfully, the sight of this manages to make the rest of the herd veer off in terror. Things that size aren't supposed to come out of the sky!]

[It's probably the terribly awful outfit he's wearing. Who wouldn't want to chase him for wearing that?

Hiccup is too distracted by running for his life to notice the dragon circling above, but he certainly does notice when the one nearly about to trample him to death is suddenly knocked asunder. He looks behind him wildly to see the mastodon and Draco skidding across the landscape, and the shock is enough to make him fall flat on his face. At least the rest of the heard scatters. Otherwise he'd be toast right now.

That...was close.]

[The lead mastodon's trumpeting goes quiet immediately after a large crunching noise. Falling flat on his face like that, Hiccup misses Draco finally fighting his way through the flailing and the masses of fur to the creature's neck and...

Well, you know how that goes!

Now there's one dead mastodon with one large dragon still perched atop its side. He pries his teeth back out from around the neck and draws his head away, licking his lips to get rid of any errant blood.]

Ha ha, now this is a meal!

day 1!

[hueless]

[ After some exciting adventures inside the tombs, Hilda is relaxing in the river. She's sitting on the back of her Samurott, lazily kicking up water with her legs and making splashes. Aaah, the water sure is cool and nice today.

Then she spots someone running toward the river, chased by a mob of angry men. Okay, she did not see that coming. She motions for Samurott to move closer to the shore and waves her arm to catch Hiccup's attention. ]

Over here! We'll help you get away!

[dragoneer]

[Oh man, help could not have come at a better time. He's nearly out of breath and those baddies are gaining on him, so when he notices the girl and - was that a Pokemon? - in the water, he bears in their direction.]

R-right! Okay!

[hueless]

[ Once he's close enough, Hilda grabs Hiccup's arm and helps him up on Samurott's back. She doesn't have to tell her Pokémon what to do-- the moment Hiccup is on its back, Samurott starts swimming with quick and powerful movements. ]

What'd you do to get them so mad?

[ She glances over at the group of foremen left behind. Some of them are venting their frustration by stomping in the shallow water and they don't seem to be particularly willing to go for a swim. ]

Ice age any day?

[Well, Henry might be wearing some familiar things...since he's kind of dressed up in Viking attire (minus the beard). But he was currently trying to find a bone spear when he see's a teenager running away like mad from angry ice age people...well... okay.

Henry has moved over to an opened house and when he see's Hiccup turn a corner he signals over to him.]

Over here! Quickly!

[Hiccup is momentarily distracted by the sight of familiar garb, but the cavemen hot on his trail mean he doesn't have much time for distractions. Though when he realizes that the door is opened for him and that someone viking-like is waving him in, he practically dives inside the doorway.]

Space Opera

[As Hiccup is being chased by robotic spiders and UFOs, a figure steps out from the darkness garbed in magnificent purple. The raygun he already stole is a quaint weapon, but it is sufficient in the task of taking down one of the spiders.

Oh yes, Ganondorf recognizes the boy. A loose end from his previous stay in Luceti.]

Stay behind me, boy. I will dispose of these fools.

Ganonzurg..............

[Oh noooooooooo. Of all the people he could possibly run into right now, he has to run into him? Just, you know, the guy who took control of Toothless' brain for awhile and was thwarted by Hiccup, of all people? That's...great. But he doesn't exactly have much choice, here. Hiccup dives behind Ganondorf to escape the pursuit of the spiders and UFOs, as commanded.]

Uhh - r-right!

Day any not 1

[Aang had been on guard now against ninja attacks every evening, trying to take his heard-earned items. But he wasn't prepared for this.

Not for a ninja hiding out in his cupboard, in an oddly obvious green suit. Green, just like Shikamaru and his friends wear. Definite ninja alright. No need to get a good look at the face. So Aang points his staff - now like an actual bo staff - at the intruder.]

Stay back, ninja!

[dragoneer]

[Oh gods, sudden weapon in his face. This is bad. This is - why on earth did he think this was a good hiding place?!

Wait...isn't that Aang??]

A-Aang! It's me! Hiccup! [He pulls back his hood.]

Day 1

[... is that a Hiccup running down the road outside of his house, pursued by a bunch of very angry-looking people? Emil is pretty sure it is.]

Hiccup? Do you need some help?

[dragoneer]

[Yes, yes it is. And yes, he could certainly use some help.]

Emil! Y-yeah, I definitely could! Help me get these guys off my trail!

day 2

[So, Ace decided to chill out in the Gangland for a while, take a breather from everything else. Except then he sees a few mobsters giving Hiccup a hard time. Well, he has yet to get a tommy gun, so maybe he can help and get one the items. He walks over in his suit, normal black pants and a jacket, with a blue shirt with orange circles randomly placed. Overall, he looks like a Tough Guy.] Oi, Hiccup, these guys giving you trouble?

[dragoneer]

[Hiccup may or may not be slightly trembling - in his loud, yellow suit - but relief washes over him when Ace comes over. OH GOOD. Someone who may know how to deal with these guys!]

Ahhh - n-nothing I can't handle! [He tries to laugh uneasily, before giving Ace a look that clearly says 'oh gods please help me out'.]

[While in the Shogunate, during one of his stints of being chased by angry samurai, Hiccup may find himself suddenly grabbed and yanked into a nearby alleyway.

His captor is Gold, dressed in something akin to this.]

Dude, what did you do to tick them off?

[Wow man, he is just gonna take a moment to take in your outfit first.

Okay, moment over.]

I-I don't even know! Maaaaybe they don't like the color I'm wearing? Th-thanks for the save, though.
