Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[Yeah, Katara is going to be all over the place - checking in the hallways, visiting her brother and his girlfriend, checking in on other friends (normal friends) and generally doing her best to make sure everyone is as ready as possible.

But when she finally gets back to her room, she pushes the button and orders up a hot tub big enough to swim in. After running through a few forms to get used to being back at full power, Katara fills it to the brim with steaming hot water. While she waits for it to cool, with the steam heating the room, she'll be in her bindings and tunic pants running through some yoga moves to limber-up and destress. The door is shut, but if anyone comes knocking she won't do more than peep through the viewing hole before letting them in to her make-shift sauna.]

[Rydia spots Katara when she's wandering the halls, likewise checking on people. Her warm smile is instant and she waves cheerfully.]

Katara! How are you?

[Katara likewise smiles when she sees Rydia, hurrying over.]

Hi Rydia! I'm doing all right. [As well as can be expected.] How about you?

[You died the last time you were out here, after all.]

[She tries to push down any uncertainties, not wanting anyone to think that they have to protect her.]

I'm the same...and hoping that this doesn't last too long. I'd hate not to be at the Welcome Center when the new cycle starts.

Do you have any plans for this time?

I'll be working with Sokka for most of the time, guarding the distribution center. But tomorrow I'm going out with Shikamaru and his group. What about you?

I'll be part of the main offense team. My magic ought to be enough against most of our foes...and against those we were warned about, I think there's a plan to counter that. I'm not worried; I'll have Kain with me, and plenty of others.

That's good to hear. [Katara - she's a little worried.] I'll be with Shikamaru's group on the first day and Sokka's after that... it shouldn't be so bad.

[But she really doesn't want to run into as many of those Shifters as her placement in that first group could indicate.]

Coming! [Katara untangles herself from a stretch and hurries over, opening the door. The warm, moist air wafts out into the hallway, along with the scents of lavender and ginger.]

I was getting ready to take a bath. [She steps aside so Nami can enter.]

Just trying to relax a little before we head out tomorrow.

[Ami drops by before very long. Speaking to the people she knows who've also been drafted is a good way to calm down her own anxieties. She knocks on the door.]

Katara, please excuse me. May I come in?

[Rising out of her stretch, Katara answers the door.]

[Katara nods. The room is filled with scented steam from the hot tub.]

I know. That's a good way of looking at it.

[Well that's one day down. Shikamaru pushed himself like he expected everyone else on this day; he's sore and exhausted and it's probably only thanks to the soldier pills he ate that he's even standing right now, but the effort paid off. They took out a lot of Shifters today. From a purely strategic standpoint, they're off to a good start.

After talking some things over with the other strategists and on his way back to his room, Shikamaru decides to stop by Katara's door. She won't be working with them after this, so a thanks are an order. He'll make it quick - he hasn't cleaned up yet.

Knock, knock.]

[Funny - how you're not cleaned up? That's the opposite of Katara's routine. She got back from battle and immediately went, first to shower and scrub off everything, then to stretch out, then to bathe in her hot tub.

...fortunately. You're knocking just shortly after she's finished her ritual.]

[That's because he knew if he'd gone to his room long enough to get clean and sit down, he would not be coming out again for the rest of the night. Such is laziness.

[Her hair is completely down, and the room is filled with warm steam, but other than that it is a completely dressed Katara who opens the door.]

No worries - everything's fine. [He holds up his hands, politely declining the offer, before shoving them into his pockets - hiding the faint tremors that haven't quite gone - and grinning.] I just wanted to thank you for your help today.

Shikamaru... [She steps forward and tugs on one of his elbows, trying to free his hand for her inspection.] Let me see.
