Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[Unlike everyone else's door, Kaori's is locked. Why?

She's busy being a terrified mess on the floor, clutching her head in her hands while trying to keep her sobbing as quiet as she can. It has nothing to do with the upcoming battle, not at all; she's perfectly fine with that. The problem is once again she found herself in a new place where she had no idea what anything looked like or where it is, she was lucky enough to even find her room in the first place. Being blind and terrified of the dark was bad enough, it always grew to unexpected levels when she found herself in a new environment, just like her first night in the village. Just like now. Part of her wants so badly for someone to come by and notice, but that would be admitting she's even more weak than she already appeared to be. That's not something she wants anyone to hold against her.

Anyone who stops at her door may overhear her attempts to be quiet, but unless it's someone she knows and likes, you can forget about her thinking of opening that door. She doesn't want them to see her like this.]

[falenandawn]

[And Frey came to check on her, awkward as it is.

He pauses in front of the door, hesitant for a moment, until he hears the sound of... crying? Knocking, he'll call out.] ...Kaori?

[The sound of Frey's call makes her breath hitch in her throat, giving brief pause to her crying. Before she realizes what she's doing her body is acting on it's own, struggling to her feet and stumbling to the door and ready to open it to let him in. A tiny voice in her mind is telling her to not go through with this, that she's showing far too much of herself to someone she barely knew.

But she was obligated... and he'd made her feel safe in that week.

You don't mind a quaking girl suddenly clinging to you for dear life, right Frey? She's trying to hide her face and stay quiet still, but the way her shoulders were shaking should say enough.]

[falenandawn]

[He's startled, to say the least. He'd hoped he'd maybe heard wrong, that she was fine. Things had seemed ok before, she'd seemed fine before they'd arrived. Was she scared? But she'd said she'd been in battle before....

Either way, he'll wrap him arms around her and pat her back, trying to calm her down but letting her stay where she is. When he does speak, though, his tone is obviously worried.] Kaori? What's wrong? Did something happen?

I-I... [Her hold on him tightens, appreciating that he didn't push her away. The worried tone, too... That's not something she's used to.

Did that... make it okay to admit she was scared?]

[falenandawn]

It's ok. You can tell me. [Reaching up to pat her hair like he'd do with his younger sister. He can't help worrying about those he cares about, of course it's ok.]

[goldenglasses]

[Hi little blind girl. You might not have been on his list of people to check on due to shift incompatibilities, but you're still on his list.

So have some light knocking at your door.]

Kaori? Are you in there?

[seiriald]

[Hi very tall man, she doesn't hear you knocking but she does hear your voice, as faint as it was. She won't be answering the door right away, instead opting to try to regain her composure first. Vash doesn't need another person to worry about right before he goes out to the battlefield.]

[goldenglasses]

[To late girl. He was worried the moment he saw ANY name on that list. He tries knocking again.] Kaori? Are you alright?

[seiriald]

No. [It escapes her before she even realizes it's being said. That starts the tears again, but at least they're quiet for the time being as she finally gets up and moves to open the door, her eyes going straight forward once it is.]

[goldenglasses]

[Kneeling right down to your level and placing his hands on your shoulders.] What is it? What's wrong?

[generalflirt]

[You know, after seeing her funked almost as bad as him at the meeting, it's hard not to check into her. As such... sometime later he's going to wander on over to her door, knock on it. He would try the lock but... well, as Terra noted, that's probably useless]

Kaori-chan, it's your knight.

[seiriald]

[He has no idea how relieving it is to hear those words, that someone is here to protect her when she feels so vulnerable. She doesn't even care that it's a Human and she doesn't quite trust him yet, that door is flying open and she's clinging to him, still trying to control her tears.]

[Truth be told, he's actually taken aback by this a little. Because what? Clinging? When did he-?]

[But then he forces a smile on his face, wrapping an arm around the back of he head an letting out a short laugh]

Hey-hey, Kaori-chan~ let's go back in your room, okay?

[It takes a while, but eventually she nods in agreement; it's already bad enough that he's bearing witness to her weakness, no one else should see it as well. Especially people she doesn't know.

You don't mind that she has a death grip on your hand while leading you in, right?]

[Oh, he doesn't. And he shuts the door behind him as they go. But he laughs as he enters, trying to be the heart here. ...Trying, is the key word]

Oooh~! Inviting a boy into your room!! How bold!

[Well, Ven's on a mission to visit his friends, so when he finds Kaori's door he cautiously knocks-- whatever's going on in there, it doesn't sound good.]

Hey, Kaori. You in there?

[It's a familiar voice... but the presence at the door is not one she's familiar with, even if it seems to know her name. You're going to have to work a little harder to get her to know it's you, Ventus.]

[He pauses, still a little wary; he'd hate to pry.]

Is everything okay in there?

[Ven... Ven, that name is familiar, but the fear is making it so hard to think, making her paranoid. How was she supposed to know it was him for sure, and not just an impostor? Was it worth the risk?

The part of her mind that is forever stuck as a young child says yes, this was someone who was kind, someone worthy of honesty and trust. Sos he's crawling to what she thinks is the door and leaning against it with her eyes closed. She's not ready to open yet.]

[Knock-knock.] Kaori?

[Now that four very nice men have checked on her Kaori's feeling better, but the extra company is always appreciated, especially if it's Aerith. She moves from her spot on the floor to open the door, moving in to cling to her.

You don't mind, right?]

[Not at all. Aerith takes Kaori into her arms, hugging tightly back. So many people who shouldn't be here... it's sickening.]

It might be scary, but we can get through this.

Yeah... [Not that she's scared of the battlefield herself; she's more worried about the possibility of Masaomi and Frey getting hurt because she wasn't watching closely enough.

And now that she knows Aerith is also involved, she'll watch out for her, too.] Will you be okay?
