Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[He's startled, to say the least. He'd hoped he'd maybe heard wrong, that she was fine. Things had seemed ok before, she'd seemed fine before they'd arrived. Was she scared? But she'd said she'd been in battle before....

Either way, he'll wrap him arms around her and pat her back, trying to calm her down but letting her stay where she is. When he does speak, though, his tone is obviously worried.] Kaori? What's wrong? Did something happen?

I-I... [Her hold on him tightens, appreciating that he didn't push her away. The worried tone, too... That's not something she's used to.

Did that... make it okay to admit she was scared?]

[falenandawn]

It's ok. You can tell me. [Reaching up to pat her hair like he'd do with his younger sister. He can't help worrying about those he cares about, of course it's ok.]

[seiriald]

[That touch on her head brings with it faraway memories of her father doing the same thing whenever she couldn't fall asleep, when the dark was too scary to deal with alone. Of how her twin brother did the same thing when he came to check on her after several days to find that she's neglected herself again, huddling in terror in a corner of her room.

Just like now. Clinging more tightly, she'll apologize later if it causes pain, but right now she needs that sense of touch to calm down.]

[He'll start making soothing sounds, holding her close as he pets her hair. She'll have as much time as she needs to hold on to him, he's not letting go until she's calmed down.

As for pain, he doesn't feel it. He's stronger then he looks, really.]

[It's a long while before she manages to calm down her breathing, though there were still some silent tears escaping her control. It was enough for her to push away slowly, feeling a sense of shame that she'd been seen so vulnerable by Frey.

Not that he knows that yet.]

[He'll wait a bit until he's sure she's calming down, still worried. The sudden change was disconcerting.] What happened?

[He won’t ask ‘are you ok’. She obviously isn’t.]

... You know I can't see... right...? [He may be one of the few whom she's told, but so far no one knows to what extent it takes on her personal psyche.]

[falenandawn]

Yes.

....Can you not find your way around? [He's not sure how she gets around the village in the first place, but he's not that well versed in blind people.]

[seiriald]

Not here... [That's what is scaring her, how she doesn't know where anything is or where it looked like. She had already tried to feel around for things, but the fear had gotten to her before she could pinpoint anything.

It had been the same her first few days in the village; she had even refused to come out of her room.] It's always the same thing, being put somewhere new...

Would it help if I took you around to show you where everything is? [He's not sure if that would help, but he wants to help her however he can.]

[seiriald]

You'll show me? [There is much gratitude in her voice, being told where and what all those strange corners and textures were would help her out so much.]

Of course. I don't want to see you so sad, you know.

You... don't? [You Humans of Luceti are so strange, you're supposed to get pleasure from seeing one of her kind in pain!]

Of course not. Why would I? [What kind of people are the humans of your world, anyway.]

[The very paranoid and greedy racist type. :|b] Everyone else does, back home... How we should be punished because our existence is wrong...

[He grits his teeth at that.

......Why is it people do this. Why choose to hate people for what they are? Things out of their control? It makes no sense.] No one should be punished for existing. The way you were born isn't wrong.

... It's not? [Eight years of being brainwashed by Humans to believe that, closely followed by the discovery that she isn't even classified as a real Auria. A hybrid, stuck in permanent limbo. The reason why Humans feared her maternal ancestors so much.

Everything about her was wrong and hurt constantly because of it. How could Frey be right...?]

It's not. Whoever told you that is an idiot. [He doesn't usually use insults, but....] It’s a problem in many worlds, but it doesn't mean they're right. They just don't like what doesn't fit into their definitions of what is 'right' or a person.

[If Frey believed that kind of thing, he would be no better then the Godwins and their attempted genocide.]

["Why do we have to listen to them?!"

"Because, Kaori. That's what we're meant to do, why we're born. If we can't protect them, what good are we?"

"All they do is kill and degrade us and you all say we have to listen! They've killed another of our brothers, they made me kill your parents! To see if I could be used in war! I was only six years old, Erika!"

"And all we can do is accept it, if that's what they want. Maybe if you were pure, you would understand..."

... She didn't want to. That memory... it's one of the ones hidden from her, since she lost her sight, she can tell immediately. If just by that memory... She killed her sister's, her best friend's parents? How...?

She's back to clinging to Frey, tears rolling down again. Not now not now not now. She can't remember yet...!]

[W-why is she crying? Did he say something wrong?] Kaori...? Kaori? I'm sorry, please tell me what's wrong.....

[He'll pull her close again, petting her hair and rocking her gently. He's sincerely worried about this. What had happened to her to do this? What had these people done....?]

[Damn it Frey, stop being so kind. The last Human who was this kind to her, her first adoptive father... She couldn't remember his face, or how he was taken away from them. All she knew for sure was that he was killed for daring to be kind to them. Frey would be killed, too, if they were in her world. No questions asked, the penalty for being kind and providing safe haven to an Auria was death.

She almost pushes away, remembering this. But this was the kindness they constantly craved and were denied, she couldn't get away from it.]

.....Please talk to me. I.... Don't know what happened, but I'd like to help you however I can, Kaori. [He's not letting her go until she's feeling better. When someone is like this.... being alone is the worst.]

[seiriald]

It's just... [These aren't words she's used to, words that she's rarely ever heard directed at her. The only ones she'd ever been given were cruel ones, degrading her. She didn't even have the full blood of her mother to be able to simply accept it and move on, they all hurt.]

You'd be killed back home, for being so nice to me. For saying that stuff...

[falenandawn]

[A sigh. He thought so, but... He'll pull her close and speak softly.] Let me tell you something....

In my world, there are people who are bent on changing my country. These people... want to expand the country through violence, and eradicate other races who have long lived in Falena. I will never agree with such ideals, both for the pain they cause others and for me, personally.

Just because people can do such things doesn't make it right, Kaori. Every life is precious. Your's is, too.
