Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[Simon's never been to the dorms, so he spends a good chunk of time wandering around and seeing just what this place is all about. This involves flopping on the bed, spoiling himself a little with the request intercom, and being a nervous wreck.

And then he finds the door leading to the hanger.

ALL NERVOUSNESS IS SUDDENLY NULL AND VOID for now. And people might hear a sudden shouting from the hall-]

He's here! Gurren Lagann's here!

[And for the rest of his time in the dorms Simon will be out in the hanger with THIS FELLOW HERE (http://www.gainax.co.jp/anime/gurren-lagann/img/mecha_r2_c2_f4.jpg), fiddling with the controls, making sure it works, and detaching Lagann to practice moving it around. This is so awesome omg.

He left his door open, too, if anyone wants to follow/wander in and check.]

[Gold himself was wandering up and down the hallway, mostly looking for his friends to bug them while on downtime.

And that's when he hears Simon's cry of joy. Gurren Lagann... That's the name of Simon's robot, right? Running as fast as he can now, Gold bolts down the hallway, stopping in the doorway of Simon's room.]

[Simon's already in the hanger, heading towards the Ganmen. Hearing Gold's voice, he calls out over his shoulder, still jogging.]

Come and see! It's Gurren Lagann!

[You don't have to tell Gold twice. He'd been waiting to see this thing ever since Simon told him about it! He scrambles quickly to get inside the hangar to see it, but once he's inside and gets a good view of the thing, his pace slows considerably, as he takes in its beauty. Even from this distance, it was huge compared to anything else, and it looked way cooler than a Gundam. It was...]

[Hearing him, Simon glances back again with a grin. He feels so much better about the coming battle with Gurren Lagann on his side; with this, he'll be safe, and he can really help to protect other people, too. He won't be useless!]

This is the real strength of Team Gurren! Now nothing can beat us!

I can see why... This thing looks amazing! Way cooler than I expected... [He walks closer now. Wow, man, just... wow.]

[Simon blinks at that, peering back at Gurren Lagann, then starts climbing up to get to Lagann's cockpit.]

Um... it's kind of hard to explain. Aniki and I just fight without thinking about it... it uses drills for weapons, though. I think Lagann makes it that way.

[Having heard all the noise, Shikamaru turns up to investigate. Coming from a world that has no robots, much less giant ones... that's pretty impressive, actually.

He'll just wait and watch, until both him and Simon are done. And provided Simon surfaces at some point:] Oi. So that's your robot, huh?

[Simon's just getting out of the Ganmen to ask the room comm for a few repair robots, so Shikamaru's presence catches him off guard.]

Oh! Yeah, this is Gurren Lagann.

Gotta admit, it's bigger than I thought it'd be. [In a good way, though. More power, for sure - they'll just have to be careful in how they place it.] So what exactly can you do with it? We didn't get much chance to talk about it before.

It's not too big, is it? I mean, it can do a lot! So I'm sure we can help somehow... [He's hopeful. Gurren Lagann may be pretty big, so it's not great with stealth, but has power! Yay?] Lagann makes drills come out of its hands, and they can drill through almost anything!

That- Heh, no I don't think you have much to worry about. It'd be hard not to find a way to use this to our advantage.

[He shifts his attention back to Gurren Lagaan.] We'll just need to be careful. We might have to have you hang back for a while - be our secret weapon, if you will. At least until the Shifters catch on.

Secret weapon? O... okay. [That doesn't sound so hard. But if he's hanging back, that means he's not attacking, so...] But wouldn't that be dangerous for everyone else?

[Okay so Masaomi was wandering out of some nerves, but also a desire to meet up with some of his new team-mates. Thus... he ended up in the hanger.

In time to see a detached Lagann running around.]

Waaah...?! [Because what is that a head with arms and legs?]

[Simon halts in mid-step, voice echoing from Lagann's cockpit.]

Could this be the Gurren-Lagann I've hard about before now?

He blinks, trying to relax. The edge in his voice is probably still palpable]

Huh- oh! Sorry, hold on- [Suddenly the shutters open, revealing Simon sitting up in Lagann's cockpit.] This is just Lagann. Over there- [He points to Gurren, hanging out in the back of the hanger-] That's Gurren. They combine and make Gurren-Lagann.

Combine...? [He blinks, looking between this and the further away (and bigger) robot. ...So that is the head? Like a megazord or something?]

So you're the "head" of it?

Yeah. They used to be just two different Ganmen, but then Kamina stuck Lagann on top of Gurren, and they connected right away and became one.

[When she drops by Simon's room and finds it empty... well, a little investigating is in order.

Huh. She thought she had heard him exclaiming excitedly before, but maybe--]

[From behind the door at the back of the room comes a sudden shout, a crashing noise, and another noise sounding vaguely like "pew pew". A moment later two drills crash right into the door, sticking out of the wood at least three feet and sending wood splinters flying all over the place. Good thing you weren't standing too close there, Raine.

A moment later, still from the hanger, there's a faint, muffled sound of-]

....Ah... that wasn't right...

[Oh crap, oh crap someone was in there? Simon scrambles backwards, taking the entire door off its hinges and tossing it aside, revealing the hanger, and him in Lagann, peering through the doorway anxiously.]

Miss Raine, are you okay!?

[ She's a little more startled than she'd like to admit, though she tries to school that fairly quickly enough.]

Y- ... yes, Simon. I'm fine. What's going on?

I'm just practicing with Lagann- I haven't piloted him in almost two years, so I forgot a lot.

[Good grief, poor Raine. He'll definitely aim elsewhere from now on.]
