We are the named and we are known

Who: All Draftees
What: Arriving at the dorms
When: 26th
Where: Dorms, location unknown
Summary: Dorm information is here. This is your room!
Rating: PG... we hope?

Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

((Mod note: Extra draftees won't experience their Shift Incompatibility handicap in their dorms. :|a))

/shakes fist as well, since they're dead while I'm tagging this

They have a pretty dangerous weakness, don't they. [Good thing Bil told them about it, though. Geez.]

They do, but that's only one of them. Maybe they'll prove me wrong once I actually see them in battle, but from what I can tell, their biggest weakness is that they're relying too much on their strength.

Isn't that a kind of weakness everyone has? We all rely on our strength...

[Is that his weakness, too? He relies so much on having Gurren Lagann... what would he do without it?]
endgames: (that's interesting)

It's really only a weakness if you let it be. There's a difference between knowing your strengths and depending on them.

[He turns towards Simon.] Let's use Gurren Lagann, for example. If you had to pick just one thing, what would you say is it's greatest strength?

Um... [Ridiculousness? The idiocy of its pilots?] It's really sturdy when it's combined. It doesn't get damaged easily.

[Though Gurren takes an awful lot of damage when they split.]

It's probably at it's most powerful that way too, right? So I guess that means they should stay combined no matter the situation.

[It's a question, but he doesn't word it as such. He's looking to be corrected.]

Well... sometimes that's true. But our best attack right now means separating Lagann and Gurren, and it's good to have a smaller Ganmen if you're trying to sneak up on the enemy, so... I guess it depends.

Good answer. 'Cause there's a lot of things you could with them, right? You're not limited to just your strongest move. If you used it all of the time, you'd get pretty predictable.

[identity profile] dawndigger.livejournal.com 2011-03-08 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Ah- so if the enemies use only two attacks, they get predictable, right? We can use that to beat them.

Got it in one. [He stretches] We can talk about this some more at the strategy meeting, though. You about done here?

[You looked busy before he interrupted you.]

Mm, I shouldn't push it too hard before tomorrow. I was just going to ask for a couple of communicators in my room, and the repair bots in case Gurren gets damaged. We'll need those.
