Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

((Mod note: Extra draftees won't experience their Shift Incompatibility handicap in their dorms. :|a))

Well, that's life for you. Celebrate your birthday, get drafted off to war against your will, die and come back to life and everything else that's foul and unholy in life. [ he was so, so embittered. the break from the village had not done the doctor that much good and being drafted had only served to exacerbate these issues. ] What do you want me to say? Go and mollycoddle him if it'll make you feel better.

I'm not looking to coddle anyone's mollies. He knows the score. We all do.

Good. After that special guest showed up last time, maybe some people will take some more damn care this time.

Yeah. [ she resists sneaking a hand over her pocket -- she isn't keeping the necklace on her throat in case people put two and two together, but it is on her person. ] We wouldn't want a repeat of that.

Like you'd listen to what anyone would tell you.

[ he hasn't seen that locket for a while, but he knows how much it means to her. ] What do you want, Summers?

Do I need a reason to come say hi and check in?

[ she eyes him carefully; she isn't used to feeling this much hostility from him. in the wake of what was said after emony's return home, she had expected her big brother to come back to her, eventually. but that eventually seems to be taking a long time.

it floods her with sympathy. ]

With you? Usually.

[ McCoy knew that he was letting his emotions get the better of him lately, but it seemed like hurt and aggravation were the only driving forces as he struggled to see past that red mist and think rationally. the concept seemed almost alien to him. there was no reprieve or time to recover and that knot of tension from when Emony left was still there, choking him. ]

Oh? So...what? That makes me sneaky-underhanded-motive-girl?

[ there were only so many responses she could bite back after days of bones' hostility. ] You wanna know what my big ulterior reasoning is? Care, love, concern, worry. And if there's something wrong with those things then lock me up and drag me to Big Betty's Cell-House for Legally Flawed Women.

You'd only break out. [ McCoy snapped back and inwardly cursed that crack in his voice. this is why he had tried to get away from the village; avoid confrontations like this but, as always, he was always brought back. it wasn’t as simple as back home where he could jump on a shuttle craft. ]

[ i'd break you out. she drums her fingers anxiously against her elbows, having not expected to get a reminder of jack's flirtatious vow in this conversation of all places. ]

Jail-break isn't my look. You must be mistaking me with Faith.

[ he doesn't get the reference. Jack admitted she had stayed over with him and that was probably contributing to some of his emotional distress. being shut out. too upset to see how hypocritical he was being. ]

No, I'm really not. You don't try and glue lacerations or whatever the hell that girl used to do when she was injured. [ he sounds very doubtful though and throws the phaser back into his medical kit. he would never warm up to these weapons. ] I'm as clear-headed as ever.

Clear like a puddle. [ she paces. ] Faith never really had the same support-system I did, as a Slayer. Glue-aid is hardly the worst of her issues.

[ he doesn't move or reply. she can pace as much as she want, he won't be stirred into action. fresh bruises on top the old ones forming will be another sign of his victory. ]

People do stupid things, sometimes. [ she tries to make it sound like a natural segue off of faith -- it doesn't quite work. ] Stupid things they should probably avoid doing.

And yet they continue to do it anyway.

So set a good example. Don't be reckless out there.

I've come through two of these things without a scratch on me. I'm a human-being. They don't intimidate me.

They should. [ she turns to face him, shutting down the pacing. ] Hell, the intimidate me. And I use those feelings to win.

[ he continues to be flippant. apart from a handful of people, he doesn't care what will happen to him. maybe it should be a hint that he isn't as compatible as they make him out to be. ] Good for you, Summers. I don't have that fabled Slayer strength of yours, so they can't take anything away from me. They come near me, they're going to be blasted with nadion particle beams. You can probably guess how much that's going to sting.

[ buffy can't take this argument -- her resolve is cracking. ] You're spiraling, Bones. [ she is heading for the door. ]

I'm not spiraling.

[ she turns in the doorway. ]

She's gone. It sucks. No one is going to deny you your right to a bad mood but...so help me, Bones, if you do something stupid on that field because you're not thinking straight? I don't...[ she falters. no. this kind of emotion isn't useful right now. ] I don't know what I'd do.

[ McCoy could feel his anger spike and got to his feet and turned to her. confrontational, his body language screamed. ]

It's not just -- [ no. this was fast turning into an argument and he bit his tongue to stop himself. no point. no one ever listened to him and it was a pretty tall order to expect her to listen. ] -- I'm thinking straight. Focus on yourself and forget about me.

I'm not prepared to do that.
