Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[Yuan won't be the only one requesting a Rheaird and wing pack for it. Though it's probably doubtful that Raine will use hers unless there's an emergency for it.

In any case, she's making her rounds up and down the hallway and Yuan is next.]

[Yuan was wondering if Raine would drop by or not, but actually answering the door to find her there doesn't exactly please him. He can't shake the unsettling feeling that Sheena may have told her about the latest experiment, even though he suspects the girl would be too proud to share that information with anyone else.

He closes his eyes wearily. It was just an experiment, it didn't mean anything. There's other things to worry about right now and he can't let it affect him like this, so he decides to focus on the matters at hand.]

... Raine.

[wise_maiden]

... Yuan. [He doesn't really have to worry. Raine's had her own difficulties, and it's not like Sheena did speak to her about the experiment, so he's in the clear unless he wants to divulge that himself. But since the man doesn't like his time wasted, she holds up one of several pouches that she's holding.] I brought this by for you, in case you were too busy to request your own supplies.

[Instead of accepting the pouches, he shakes his head and holds up a hand.] Keep it. I requested my own stock.

[He can't get around without medicinal gels, he knows that perfectly well. That's why he requested a little bit of everything, along with some panacea bottles.]

[wise_maiden]

If you're certain. [Whether or not she believes him is another story.]

[Normally he wouldn't question Raine's words, but considering how she's prepared supplies for him and doesn't seem entirely convinced that he's requested his own, it's as if she's implying something else.]

I wasn't planning on doing anything reckless, if that's what you mean.

Sometimes things happen even if we aren't planning on it.

I know that. [He's experienced enough to have come face to face with those sort of things first-hand, so it's leaving him a little frustrated to be lectured on it. Raine means well and he knows that, but it sounds incredibly patronizing. Teachers will be teachers.]

[wise_maiden]

[She's not trying to be patronizing. But considering the last few times that she saw Yuan she had to heal him? ... Although that seems to be most times she sees him.]

All right. I'm sorry for wasting your time.

[What's sad is that the main reason Raine has this impression is because Yuan only actively seeks her out when he needs healing. With Mithos around, that's always a danger. Even now, if he gets wounded in the draft, the first person he'd go to would be Raine. She's the person he trusts most to do the job.

He doesn't want there to be any tension between them, he just doesn't want to get too close.]

... Will you be on the frontlines?

That's correct. Why do you ask?

I'm simply... curious. If one of those so-called Shifters cancels your magic, you'll be left defenseless.

[Or so he assumes. He's never seen Raine fight without using her magic, in any case.]

I've been in this battle without my magic before. Besides, it's not as if I'm charging in to fight.

You don't need to. They'll charge towards you if you're too close to the battle.

[So he may be worried. Just a little.]

[So not only does he get irritated at her showing concern, he spins around the entire thing on her instead.

But she'll take it more gracefully than you, Yuan.]

The important thing is to be on our toes for any change in situation. There's only so much preparation can do.

[He's always been great at hypocrisy. It's what happens when he cares about people, but refuses to show it. Or even accept it, for that matter.]

Hm. Then, I trust you'll be alright. [Because if Raine gets killed out there, he'd still feel terrible about it. Not to mention remotely guilty, because he'd be in the area but unable to help her.]
