Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

Hey - I just thought I'd see how you were settling in.

Well enough. I just had supper. And finished inventory. I might still have a few requests.

[He blows out a sigh as he looks at all the medical supplies.

This actually took the longest. He's a fast reader (and he's going to need it for request #4 coming up) and this is more crucial now. Picking what drugs to take and to leave is difficult. What equipement and supplies to bring along. What would help and what would hinder.

He can't run out out there. But he also can't let the supplies hinder the movements of those transporting to the makeshift medical center. That would be a death sentence as well.

It's a delicate balance.]

... and I think I'm going to need the literature on some of these Malnosso drugs. They're unfamilar.

I think it's going to be a long night.

[Katara looks at that spread and - is just glad that she doesn't need anything like that to heal. She's got what she needs, tucked into two special vials under her shirt. Still - stopping someone from dying is a long way from making them better, and she knows that very well.]

Yeah, that looks like a lot. [She lifts her gaze from the spread of drugs to meet his.] Just don't forget to get some rest tonight too, all right? The first day shouldn't be so bad at the Distribution Center, but you never know.

[...had she mentioned she was going to be elsewhere before joining up with you guys?]

Don't worry. I'll sleep. [Which he will. Focus is essential on the battlefield and the medical front is just another sort of battlefield.

I hope not, [Another sigh] but what will be will be. Whatever the outcome, I'll be ready for it.

Actually, I won't be going out with you tomorrow. Shikamaru asked me to fight with his unit on the first day.

[You know. Going up against the Shifters to take them out? Yup.]

Mister Shikamaru did?

[Lips pressing together in concern. He'd rather you'd be nearby so he can keep an eye on you too, or at least be close enough that if you got hurt, they'd be able to rush you to him in time.

But you are a capable fighter and to voice that would be insult to your skills. His expression eases.

Katara? Be safe out there.

[Blink. She didn't know they knew each other.]

[And she'll start back to the door. But her curiosity won't let her just leave - she stays by the door though, true to her word to get out of his hair and let him get back to studying.]

I didn't know you two knew each other?

We met while discussing tsunami preparations during the last draft. He wanted my knowledge as a sailor as to what we could possibly be expecting and how best to counter it.

[Walking with you.] He and I play shogi together and sometimes against the spirits. He's very good.

[AKA they are good terms. Relax.]

[Walking with her would normally make Katara feel bad that he got up, however Chouji's spoiled her this past week and so this time she doesn't think anything at all. Just smiles at him.]

Oh, good. I'm glad he found someone to play with. We would play pai sho, but I don't think I was that much of a challenge.

[Sitting down and talking to her back as she was leaving would be pretty rude on his end. He doesn't mind the leg stretch.]

Pai sho? Is that like shogi?

[Curious here. Is it?]

[Shrug.] I don't know. I've never played shogi. But it is a game of strategy.

[Chuckle] Like shogi then.

I don't know - is every game of strategy the same?

[Her bet is on no... and yes.] He seemed to like it well enough, anyway. I didn't know you had shogi in your world too, but I'm glad you found someone to play it with as well.

[Katara is happy when her friends are happy and when her friends are friends.]

Yes and no. The rules might be a little different but in the end, it's exactly the same for every game. Trying to outthink your opponent before he or she outthinks you.

One of these days, we'll have to teach you. It's good fun.

[Why does everyone keep trying to get her to play strategy games? Do they enjoy beating her that much? S-sob.

But Katara - not a little wryly - just shrugs.]
