[I hope you don't mind being bodily slammed into while blind as Vash hauls you out of the line of attack. He's hoping you'll figure out it's him and not attack as he turns back around to fire at the Third Party member that just slammed into the ground.]

[Then all trace of whine leaves his voice as it also moves into a lower tone.] Into the trees. I think they're going to try to regroup and ambush.

They haven't gone too far yet, more trying to get behind us I think. [He's been listening to their movements once they disappeared into the trees.] So I don't think they're going for reinforcements just yet.

[Well, great. I'm injured and blind and in a place I'm entirely unfamiliar with. Just fantastic. Wonderful. But he does take comfort in knowing he's not blindly tripping into the forest without a guide now (the fact that said guide is a damn good shot helps).]

Shit, well, that's at least a plus.

[He pats the ground, looking for his handgun he'd went and dropped. The Punisher's somewhere out there, but he'll find it later. Or have the shitty Malnosso poof it back home. Right now, he's more worried about getting attacked again.]

Are you looking for your gun!? You might shoot me! [Vash gets to his feet, keeping his eyes scanning the tree tops and around them. He'll place a hand on his friend's shoulder as a warning before helping him to his feet.]

[Despite being blind, he still effortlessly re-holsters the gun under his coat, and lets Vash hoist him back up. Helplessness sucks; now he almost sort of feels bad for when YOU were blind.

Except. You know. You weren't in the middle of a GODDAMN JUNGLE WITH PEOPLE TRYING TO KILL YOU.

Still, he might be a tad guilty. And find irony in the fact that the babysitter isn't the babysitter at the moment.]

Naw, you can still - GET DOWN! [Vash hopes you're listening, because he's staying up and swinging his arm where your head just was to shoot at the third party member that is charging towards them.]

[Don't underestimate my listening-ness--it's all I got right now. He crouches low, and can distinctly hear where the crackle of leaves are. Not that he'd shoot, anyway, considering he might miss and kill the guy and then you'd be a grumpy jerk all day.]

[The attacker falls to the ground with a scream.] We should head back to the group. [Vash fires into the trees and he must hit something as there's a shout of pain and something crashes towards the ground.] But we can't lead these guys there. And- [Huh, that sounds like someone might have landed near their feet.] Uh-oh...

One of them has- [Pulling you out of the way.] Two of them have arrows.

[Just a second. Calmly pulling you behind this tree as a couple arrows slam into it.] Well, good news is I think they're the last two. [He peers around the tree and attempts to locate one of their attackers in the folliage.] ...or maybe there's a third. I'm not sure, I think I lost count.

[Uuuugh, he bows his head in defeat.]

Just leave me here and go deal with 'em already.

Ha! You'd have to find me in order to do that! But I'm going, I'm going. So just wait here. [With that Vash starts to climb the tree they've been using for cover.]

[There's a little rustling in the tree above you, then all goes quiet for a few minutes as Vash quietly, but quickly stalks through the branches.

The silence is suddenly broken by the twang of a bow string almost immediately followed by a gunshot. Then all hell apparently breaks lose as it's quickly followed by a whole bunch of yelling and occasional bursts of rapid gunfire.

Branches fall here and there and then things suddenly go quiet again for a minute or two after something heavy falls to the forest floor that is NOT a branch. Quiet that is until.]

ACK! No! Don't do tha-

[Is that the sound of a large tree falling down RIGHT NEXT TO YOU?

Yes. Yes it is. One Vash is apparently on as he goes screaming down with it. At least it shouldn't hit you if you don't move! And by the sound of the panting Vash is still alive!]
