Luceti Land!!

Who: [livejournal.com profile] luceti
What: Amusement Parking!
When: Today til the end of the month
Where: A veritable pleasure island, east of the Beach Fort.
Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

Have you been to a theme park before, Seto?

[Well, Seto is looking better than he was the last time they spoke. Giles views this as a very positive sign as he steps up next to the boy, looking up at the smaller roller coaster.

Don't mind the corn dog in one hand, Seto. Or the half forgotten cheap stuffed toy in the other.]

[Yeah, Seto's been known to recover from an incident relatively fast (even though this one took him a few days) but yes! He is in a much better mood now. He'll actually give you a bright smile Giles.

What a cute little toy you have there. He nods a little after popping a piece of cotton candy into his mouth]

Back home but it was already breaking down. [He chuckles and gestures to the roller coaster you're looking at] I even ran on roller coaster tracks! How about you?

Never. Well, I mean, we certainly have places like this back home. I just, um, I'd never been to one. [He nods up at the wooden structure.] Certainly never one of these. A traveling carnival, every so often, but they're nothing like this large.

Traveling carnival? Y-You mean these things can move around?? [Mind blown]

Oh, yes. Well...not when they're this large. [He indicates their general surroundings.] They're generally supposed to stay in place when they're this large. But smaller ones can - they can even cart smaller roller coasters around.

That's so cool! I wonder if they had those back home when everyone was still around...

[Lucky bastards]

If places like this existed back home, smaller versions probably did as well. After all, not everyone is fortunate enough to live near enough to a proper amusement park.

I guess that's true. The amusement park back in my world was pretty far from home. I wonder if the town next to the observatory ever had one of those traveling carnivals.

The, um, the prevalence of strange blue jellyfish also might have done something to deter any visitors.
