Luceti Land!!

Who: [livejournal.com profile] luceti
What: Amusement Parking!
When: Today til the end of the month
Where: A veritable pleasure island, east of the Beach Fort.
Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

Uh-huh. Sounds like snake oil to me. [It can't be a real medicine; it doesn't even begin with a person's name. She coughs again.] My name's Kay--what's yours?
all7seas: (ewwww)

Snake oil's got a much more acidic flavor, actually. You don't want that, Kay.

....KAY?! Mistress Kay!?

I wasn't planning on tryin' any.

[She raises an eyebrow at him at his exclamation in an attempt to hide yet another frown, this time of some slight confusion; it still takes her a second or two to realize that people recognize her, even though she doesn't know them from Adam. The expression isn't a perfect likeness to herself thirty years down the line, but it's not too far off.]

Lemme guess, you know me, too.
all7seas: (savvy?)

Well I know the older, beautiful you what makes me sandwiches, aye! Not this bitty child version of you! Whatever happened?!

[identity profile] kay-hunter.livejournal.com 2011-08-19 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
...I make you sandwiches?

[She didn't know she made sandwiches for people. Maybe Hiccup forgot to tell her she worked in a diner when she wasn't writing. In any case, she shrugs at his question.]

They said it's just something what happens sometimes--I been here about a week or so. What'd you say your name was?
all7seas: (parley?)

[personal profile] all7seas 2011-08-19 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Such delicious sandwiches. [The pirate laments that fact for a few moments before addressing her question:] Sparrow. Captain Jack Sparrow. We've tangoed together, too, once; I licked frosting from your nose, and you nearly ran me through for it with my own sword.

[He might be remembering that event a little differently from how it actually happened.]

OH! And a turkey dinner: you promised me one of those, too.

[identity profile] kay-hunter.livejournal.com 2011-08-19 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[Does she do nothing except cook people food here? That sounds much more boring than it did when Hiccup told it--but then, his version involved rather more books. There is one thing in his answer that catches her fancy, though.]

Wait, wait, you're a captain? Of an actual ship?
all7seas: (guilty as charged)

[personal profile] all7seas 2011-08-19 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Aye! The Joanna Joyce! You remember?

[Child!Kay earns points for being excited about boats, even if she loses a few for the sandwiches-forgetting thing.]

[identity profile] kay-hunter.livejournal.com 2011-08-19 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[She shakes her head.] I don't remember. That's a real nice name, though.

[Pause.] So it's just your own little boat? They wouldn't let you in the Navy with all that hair, you look like a pirate.
all7seas: (this is my lying face)

[personal profile] all7seas 2011-08-19 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[She doesn't remember; well, that happens here from time to time. Jack can only hope she gets back to normal one day, at least so that he can have a good sandwich from time to time. Priorities. ]

I am a pirate, tiny Kay. A most vicious and fierce pirate. Now. About that tea.

[identity profile] kay-hunter.livejournal.com 2011-08-19 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
A real pirate? [Here, let her stare at you in wide-eyed wonder for a minute, Jack--considering her eyes rival pitiful Victorian orphans' in size already, we're talking really wide.] I never met a pirate before. Is your ship here? Can I see it?

...Anyway, I'm not drinking no tea if it don't even got a name.
all7seas: (any way you slice it)

[personal profile] all7seas 2011-08-19 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Aye, a real pirate. The real-est pirate you'll meet, here. And the ship is moored not far down the coast, and it is kind of you to wish to see her rather than the blinding headtonic of this carnival thing.

And if you don't want a taste of Uncle Jack's All-Curative Tea, then there's really nothing I can do for you.
