Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[Throughout the days, Kain is with her for much of the time, especially so they can enjoy the rides together. He's all for the rides.]

[But it's the fireworks he knows she's looking forward to, so he makes sure they get to a good spot for that not long before the time comes.]

[After a long day of revisiting old rides and trying out all-new ones, Rydia ought to be exhausted...but isn't, yet. Instead, she's wide-awake and eager to see the fireworks, from above as well as the ground.]

[It's Kain's jumping that will bring them closer to such lights than she ever has been before, after all.]

['Of course I am,' Kain mouths. He's been looking forward to this all day, waiting for the moment of those fireworks.]

[Rydia grins at that, then perks up as the fireworks commence. The first bloom is a bright green one, rapidly expanding outward. This is it....]

[Ohh, bright green... perfect, since it's fitting to Rydia. Kain takes hold of her- nice and firmly so as not to drop her, but not TOO tight- and then OFF THEY GO INTO THE SKY as the green bursts around them.]

[Secure and having complete faith in Kain about not dropping her, Rydia turns her attention to the bright blooms above and soaring to meet them. She laughs in delight, enjoying the feeling of wind against her cheeks and through her hair.]

It's even better up here! So beautiful....

[With his hands full at the moment, Kain semi-smiles in response... which turns into a real one, just for her. It's about as fleeting as every colorful burst that appears right above them... but it's there for a time. And down they must descend, of course. Only for Kain to prepare to jump yet again.]

[Rydia knows better than to distract him too much while mid-jump, but in the time between landing and taking off again, she leans in to give him a kiss.]

[Kain kisses her- quickly but very passionate- before it's back to the air they go.]

[Soaring into the air, Rydia thinks she can't imagine anything better. Well, aside from things that they can't do in public. She watches the next burst of light, bright blue this time.]

That one sort of looks like a dragon....

[It's all so perfect, so beautiful and... well, Kain almost wonders if the time has come for something he's been putting off for a while. Perhaps...]

[He nods approvingly at the dragony fireworks.]

[Rydia grins, not taking her eyes off it until it's faded completely.]

We really needed this....

[Kain mouths an agreement to that, as they once again land along with a few smaller bursts going off above. They've endured a lot in the last year... but then don't they always endure too much around here?]

[...and part of him is still wondering... maybe? Would this be the right time to ask? She's so happy and the fireworks are a perfect setting.]

[Well, he'll think about that, as he leaps up for another jump as another spectacular set of fireworks crackles and bursts above.]

[Her smile lingers as he soars into the air with her again, her gaze more on him than the brightness in the sky for a moment.]

[Kain holds her even closer as they reach the height of the ascent, mouthing an 'I love you' in return. He has no doubts about wanting her, and wanting her forever.]

[Rydia can't help herself; she steals another kiss while they're mid-air. Not that she's trying to distract him from making a smooth descent, but she might as well give him a taste of what he'll get when they land.]

[...yes. He can do this. He will do this. It's been too long that he's put this off. Kain savors that kiss as they soar down accompanied by the fireworks still bursting above. He lands and then gives her a very intense, passion-filled kiss...]

[Rydia returns the kiss with equal passion, ignoring the fireworks for now. All she wants is him, and she tries to convey that as best she can in that heated liplock.]

[Kain continues that kiss, more and more passionate by the moment, taking only a couple quick gasping breaks for air. After a while of that, he stops to look at her admiringly, then makes as if he's going to grab his writing things...]

[Rydia doesn't want to move away, but she does just enough to let him do that. It's one of the things she's learned to deal with since he lost his voice, after all.]

[Kain doesn't let on a thing, as the colorful fireworks display continues above. He reaches to draw out the things he's been holding on to for a damn long time, a piece of paper folded up along with a ring. He didn't want to risk more failure with showing the wrong people the wrong message, so he's kept it separate from his cards.]

[As for the ring itself, it's certainly something Rydia will like (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/duskyphyre/rydiaring.jpg). Kain had picked it out months ago with the help of Razette, for this very purpose. It's only now that he's felt the right moment has finally come. He's hopeful about her response, but he can't help feeling an anxious sense of anticipation anyway.]

[Kain gets down on one knee, unfolding the paper and then holding up the ring.]

Rydia,

You mean more to me than I could ever put into words. You're the one I want to be with, forever.

I love you.

[Rydia's eyes widen the moment Kain gets down on one knee, all the more so when he continues. The fireworks she had enjoyed so much a moment ago might as well not be there now; all she notices is her dragoon.]

[It's not as though Kain had been the only one with such thoughts. A growing idea in Rydia's mind has been to ask him, though something -usually something Luceti-related and therefore unpleasant- had conspired to take away and good opportunities for that. Like him, the summoner didn't want to compromise on a good moment. And now she can't imagine one more perfect than this.

After a moment to let that sink in, Rydia can't help but smile, blinking back tears in the process. That expression alone probably says all it needs to, but after what he did, Kain deserves a verbal response as well.]

Yes, Kain. Of course I'll marry you!

[And he better get that ring on her quickly; if her gaze is indicative of anything, he's getting pounced.]

[Kain can't remember ever being this happy before. Seeing her reaction is completely worth everything. It was even worth the wait... for this, what really did feel like the right moment.]

[He hurries to place that ring upon her finger and then prepares for the pouncing, and more kissing.]

[That ring can't be on her finger fast enough. It's truly beautiful and she'll admire it fully in due time, but at the moment, all that matters is grabbing Kain and kissing him breathless. Everything else can wait.]
