Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

Just make sure it doesn't go up your nose. That can get pretty uncomfortable. [She's trying to lighten the mood. It's always kind of depressing to see someone down when there's something fun going on.]

[Touya looks up from his sugary-pseudo-meal and smiles at the girl with the familiar voice. Well, attempts a smile.]

[Touya shrugs with one shoulder.] Alright. You having fun? It was... Kairi, right?

That's me. And I'm having about as much fun as you'd expect. This really wasn't too terrible of an idea on the Malnosso's part. Have you looked around yet, or did you just get as far as the food?

Nah, I haven't really looked around much. Just wanted to see what kind of food they had around here. [See if there was anything Yuki might like him to bring back... if he was still somewhere in Yue.] Are the rides any good?

They're pretty fun. There's not a lot of variety, but it's better than you'd expect. What kind of rides are you interested in anyway?

I'm okay with roller coasters, but anything that involves a smaller space is kind of uncomfortable. [He smiles at her wryly--he's 6'SomethingRidiculous, so obviously things that require getting in a small car are kind of impossible for him.]

They seem to be pretty accommodating for taller people at least. Have you been on a lot of them back where you're from?

Not a lot. Usually my... little sister gets a balloon or something and then I'm stuck watching it while she's on a roller coaster.

[That's...actually cute.] The price you pay for being the first born. How old's your sister?

Now? She's thirteen. Or twelve, if time really has stopped. That's weird. [He laughs lightly.] We're seven years apart, but I guess that gap is getting wider the longer I'm here.

Kind of a huge gap. Has she ever been here?

Not that I know of. I hope not. Though she'd probably be okay. She likes this sort of stuff and making friends. [He smiles faintly.]

...what about you then? [Your thoughts on the situation at hand, she means.]

Me? [Touya looks down at his funnel cake thoughtfully.] I never made many friends at school. Yuki... was really the only real friend I had. [There were girls who kept asking him to be their boyfriend and guys who told him he was great at soccer, but nobody really got very close to him. Maybe because he was That Weird Kid in elementary school. That Weird Kid who saw spirits and ghosts...]

[meteorical]

But it's a strong friendship, isn't it? Maybe that's really all that matters. Nobody said you need a lot of friends to be happy anyway. [Granted she's curious why, but she won't press. Yet.]

Yeah. I guess we both just realized subconsciously that we were similar, and we became really good friends. [He puts the funnel cake down on the bench next to him.] I really miss him.

You'll see him again. It might be a while, but you will. Trust me, I know these things.

...yeah. [He smiles. Kairi's attitude reminds Touya of Sakura a little. Touya picks up the rest of his cake and offers it to her.] You want the rest? As a thank you for listening.

Oh. [She's surprised and doesn't react for a moment, blinking at the cake and at Touya. Still, she slowly reaches out and takes it.] Thanks. That's...really nice of you. Really.

As for the listening? Come find me any other time you need someone to do it. I don't mind.
