Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[Sure enough, soon the two pieces of droid are placed together again. The magician droid makes a strange gesture and ta-da! The volunteer droid is released, no harm done.

Grune applauds enthusiastically, beaming away.] What a good trick!

[Have a lineface, Mr. Magician Droid. Though Dhaos does wonder how they do that.]

This might have been marginally entertaining if it were a person conducting the show.

Interesting, certainly. Entertaining? I'm coming to enjoy having the droids perform for our amusement rather than dragging us off the streets.

[Grune is far too absorbed by the sight of the volunteer droid to talk. Now the droid is being led into a tall box that's been brought out onto the stage by more droids. Why is she going inside?]

[Honestly, Dhaos just wants the droids gone, period. The fact that they look like magitech just doesn't help.

And gee, looks like they're going to saw him in half and skewer him. The performer droid produces about a dozen swords.]

[To the evident approval of the crowd. Giles watches the first two swords inserted through the box before he speaks again.]

Where would you like to go after this?

[Its a question directed at whichever of the two can muster up an answer.]

[Grune blinks with every sword thrust into the box, though she doesn't look upset. It takes her a moment before she realises Giles has spoken.]

Maybe we could go on the waterslides.

[Dhaos... doesn't care. It'll either be skewered or just fine, so he's already lost interest. Party-pooper.

Also, that sounds like a bad idea somehow.] In our clothes?

Unless you want to go hunting for swimsuits, I don't see as how there are any other alternatives.

[And the jury verdict is...skewered! Giles applauds, just on general principle.]

We could go look for swimsuits.

[She's not worried about what she's seeing onstage. She knows the droid is just fine!]

...I would rather not. [Dhaos' answer for everything they suggest, clearly.

Dhaos manages a weak clap, just because. To be fair, they probably didn't think they could do a magic show without all the usual tricks, even if they weren't that exciting.]

Is there something you would rather do?

[Asked in a tone of voice that mildly suggests that Giles already knows the answer.]

[And now Grune looks to Dhaos.] Oh, yes, where do you want to go, Dhaos?

[Don't make her sad, now.]

[...Giles, that is a -1 for you. No, Dhaos doesn't care that Grune is the one putting him on the spot again.

Dhaos has absolutely no idea how to answer.]

...Is there anywhere you would suggest? [Cheater.]

[You're the stoicest of the stoic, Dhaos. Even Giles will admit that poking you is kind of fun.]

[And Grune is completely unaware of the poking.]

Maybe we could get some ice cream.

[The people who get visibly irritated and don't do anything about it are the best people to poke. Dhaos hasn't learned this yet.

[A suggestion which might qualify as full on prodding.]

[And that's a suggestion that gets Grune full-on beaming.] Oh, yes!

[She turns to Dhaos.] You'll like the haunted house, Dhaos. It's so nice.

...If you believe that. [Haunted house? Nice was probably not the effect the creators had had in mind...]

Grune seems to believe that about all of the attractions, here. Quite a positive attitude to take.
