Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

It was one of mine, too. [For Daisy, it has been longer. But she sympathizes.] I'm not from Earth, but we had something like these. I haven't rode one in so long...

Then, shall we fix that now? It's right here in front of us. [Ami smiles at Daisy with the invitation.] I'd like to ride it with you.

[She looks at Ami. And returns her the smile.]

I would like that, Ami.

[One of these moments when she doesn't notice she uses someone's first name.

When their turn comes, she waits for Ami, by where a pair of empty horseseats remain for the two of them. With her big plush tiger in her arms, the pair of girls look far younger than they actually are.]

[The music and the ride start, and she doesn't particularly care how she looks right now - old or young, dignified or foolish, friendly or aloof; it's a nice change, and a rare moment when she can say that.]

[Daisy's grip on her plush toy increases, as she sits on her horse, with a peaceful smile. She does not care for appearances, either. In this place, she had few reasons to do so.]

Not a lot has happened. After the incident with the dome... A friend of ours vanished.

I'm sorry. [She lost Mike. Leonardo told her when she came back herself.] Though, when you say 'vanished', do you mean they were sent home?

Yeah. [A sad smile.] She's back to her Earth. She is safe now.

[Words that Daisy speaks to soothe herself, not as reliable as she wished them to be. Adell recovered from that loss. The Spartan would have to, as well.]

[Odd how things changed. She didn't get to bond much with Marines and Soldiers back in her world. But here, they return home. Where it's safe. Where they should be.

She sits in silence as she listens to the music of the machine, embracing early memories.]

What was Tokyo like? How was that park you remember?

It's a big city with a lot of lights, especially at night. There are large companies that have their office centers there. There are a lot of the nation's top schools, too. And the park... Maybe it was like other amusement parks, but it's the one I went to a lot of times when I was younger.

I've never been on Earth. [The chances of going for R&R there were even lower.] And centuries of difference... Tokyo sounds almost like the cities of the Inner Colonies, but without aerial transportation.

I don't remember other amusement parks... but they could be like this one. [An amused smile.] Barring dragons in Zoos.

Dragons? As far as we know, dragons are only a myth in my world. [Possibly related to dinosaurs.]

[The Chief has her typical controlled tone, but there is contained glee in her words.]

There's one in this Zoo.

Are you sure? [Not that she doubts Daisy; it's just that surprising.] I'd like to see it!

It isn't a dinosaur. It has scales, six limbs counting the wings, and breathes fire. It's nothing from the Colonies. It's huge. You need to see it.

[She smiles, going closer to her tiger. It's almost an invitation.]

I'll come right now. Lead the way. [Ami follows along easily, with barely a backward look to the carousel and other rides.]

[Daisy is more hesitant, embracing the music and the ride before she steps off, and directs Ami towards where the creature is.

The way she looks directly at the zoo makes her look as if the height difference between the two of them was inexistent. With the huge plush toy, Daisy ironically looks like the youngest of the two girls.]

[Daisy seems so eager, like Ami had been eager for the rides.]

I want to hurry and see them, too.

[Daisy turns, and nods to Ami.]

Sorry, ma'am.

[Her pace increases a little. To be frank, it was Daisy who was slowing them down. There were many more things she wanted to see, but the pair of girls nonetheless arrive at a good time to see the massive creature.

The Dragon had woken up. It was shifting position within its' enclosure.]

[They can take time after seeing the dragon. In fact, when they pull up by its enclosure, Ami can only stare. Even now, she hadn't really thought there'd be one.]

It's really there! But how?

I don't know. [A question she usually hates from this place, but it is not nearly as irritating now.] But it's huge.

[Stating the obvious.

The hulking creature calmly walks past, sometimes exhaling air that burns on exposure to oxygen.

Its' head glances towards the pair of girls, and Daisy's heart misses a beat... Before the dragon continues its' walk towards a rock big enough for it.]

It seems like it can't be real. Animatronic or something like that. But it's really a dragon, isn't it?

I can tell a machine when I see it. That's a real one. It's organic.

[The creature nests with its' rock to rest. Some fine cuts of meat that are near the dragon are too big to belong to normal cattle. For a carnivorous creature, it is docile.]

I don't know how it got so huge... But it did.
