Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[With every one of her friends supporting and believing in her, the power around Grune's persona roars into brilliant life, completely overshadowing the person she's fighting. She stops only once, only long enough to look over her shoulder for the first time and give them a smile from her heart.

And then she turns back and walks steadily forward, pushing back her opponent until both are out of sight.]

[It's an exhilarating sight to behold. Ginia sighs and smiles over at Grune and leans in to hug her.]

/You and your persona are wonderful./

/Can I get in on the hugging? That's an amazing rack./

[Ginia glares back at Alice. Please, no ruining the mood.]

Alice, for once in your very strange life, please try not to be so impossibly inappropriate?

[Giles ignores his other self as he leans in for a hug as well.]

[Grune hugs them both tight, beaming. It's all right that she doesn't remember the meaning of what she saw in the mirror just now; she has her friends around her, and that's far more important.

After a moment, she looks over at Alice and the Giles in the mirror.] I'm sorry I can't hug you, too. I'd like to very much.

Taking a vote; happy persona for Ginia or more mindscrewing?

[And thus there was a group hug and all was good in the world.

Alice grins and waves a dismissive hand, temporarily ignoring Giles' persona.]

/No worries, I'll hug the cutie over here./

[And thus there was latching on. Hey, share the love and all that.]

Giles' next one is going to be reasonably happy, so probably happy Ginia

[Giles' persona is happy to be ignored. He's just...settled down on the ground, arms crossed tightly over his chest, apparently desperately trying to stop shivering in the aftershocks of fear.]

T-Tell me sights like that...a-aren't normal f-for you.

[He smiles weakly at Grune - at both of them.] I c-can't keep up with, w-with this sort of thing. Just a teacher.

Grune's next one is also gonna be happy, but I'm cool with either!

[Grune pulls away from the group hug to go kneel down in front of the mirror. Smiling gently, she places a hand against its surface.]

It's all right, Giles. We'll protect you. That's what friends do.

Happy then! Yay for happiness.

[Ginia smiles lightly at Giles' persona, quite curious, but understanding. If things hadn't gone the way they had, she'd be a regular bartender... or world-class dancer.

Unfortunately, Alice isn't quite so sensitive. She plunks herself down next to Giles and gives his head a small pat.]

/There now, darling, it's okay. All the big scary things ar gone now./

Let's get to stockpiling it

[The glower Giles' persona levels at Alice is quite unshaken, however. He shakes her off, gets back to his feet, dusts himself off primly.]

I leave those sorts of m-matters to Helios. [He smiles apologetically at Grune.] Even so, you are much less off putting than he can be. O-On his, um, his bad days, a-at least.

Because things are gonna be rough from here on out? D:

Oh, thank you. [It's clear she has no idea what he's talking about.]

Draft, kidnapping, drama... yep, let's stockpile happiness.

[shadedsunlight]

[Alice rolls off the dislike and settles back, stretching out and getting comfy.]

/Huh, so you know Magic Boy? Er, Helios?/

Of course. He's my brother.

[Not in the "as good as family" sense. In the "blood is thicker than water" sense. Giles' persona begins gathering up its things.] And, technically, my employer.

Oh, it must be nice to work together with him.

/...So what happened to being a badass vampire slayer trainer?/

[The questioning is appreciated as it saves Ginia the trouble of having to do so, but she's still going to blush and die slightly of embarrassment here.]

[Giles' persona nods to Giles, unable to hide a frown of disapproval and several shades of resentment.]

That's his business.

I'm just a music teacher with far too little time on his hands and far too many plates to spin.

And, let's not forget, a family.

[Giles visibly flinches at this last. His voice, when he speaks, is an almost inaudible murmur.]

I do miss them. Don't ever say that I don't.

[Grune doesn't particularly understand what's going on between the two Giles, but she does know that the persona said one thing that wasn't quite right.

And so she stands, walks back to Giles' side, and takes his hand.] Giles has a family, too.

[Giles' persona's words bring a small frown from Ginia, one mirrored by Alice. She glances over at Giles, her expression turning more sympathetic to him.]

/Seriously? What's with all these alternates that are smug asses about their life situation. I gotta say I like the one out there a bit more.

...Though you are fun to harass./

A sentiment shared by the vast majority of my class, Alice. And I don't care. You think the world of him and that's fine. I suppose he must have some virtues.

His world isn't mine. And I wouldn't trade what I have for anything.

[He nods politely to the three outside the mirror.] Good day, Grune. I'll, um, I'll give your best to Dhaos. Good day, Ginia. It was nice seeing you, at least, rather than her. [He glares again at Alice, before looking back at Giles with an expression of mingled understanding and pity.]

And I'll...give your best to Vivi, shall I?

[Giles nods, suddenly profoundly grateful for the proximity of the other two.]

...I would appreciate it.

Thank you, Giles. [The look Grune gives Giles' persona is no less loving, but right now, it's tinged with--disappointment. Not much, not very much at all, but on Grune...it's significant.]

I hope you and Giles can be friends someday. He's a very good person.

[shadedsunlight]

[Alice smirks and gives a lazy wave as Ginia gives an awkward smile and a polite bow.]

/Nice to meet you as well... Mr. Giles. Take care./

[She glances back at Giles, her expression softening.]

/Are you okay?/

I'm all right. [His smile is very forced and...mildly affectionate, all at once.]

...he isn't a bad person, you know. Just, um...frightened. Quite often. And, um, it's only natural that he'd value blood family a little more seeing as how he...a-actually, um, has one. Quite a nice one.

...and I wouldn't wish dreams of my life on anyone.

[He sounds a little wistful, for a second, but manages to shake it off. When he looks to Ginia and Grune, he actually looks touched.

No one has ever actually stared their preference for him over his more normal, softer other self. It's heartening on many levels.]

Shall we move on, then?

All right. [She gives his hand a little squeeze.]

I wonder who we'll meet next.

[shadedsunlight]

[Alice gives a small shrug as she gets to her feet and stretches.]

/You take the life you're given, but I like you more. I like a guy with backbone and who can put up a good challenge. The cupcake too./ [She smirks as she waves at them.]

/You guys go on now, I'll see you around./

[Even in between a state of facepalming, embarrassment, and wishing she could reach through that mirror and smack Alice, there's a smile, almost warm, as Ginia looks at her reflection.]

/Bye, Alice. Don't cause too much trouble out there./

[Alice gives a lazy salute before she's off, the mirrors bare once more.]

/Yes, let's all go on now./
