Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

She turns her attention to the persona.] I'm Grune. It's very nice to meet you!

[The persona nods genially.]

...Dhaos. [Yeah, we couldn't tell.]

You're doing fine; don't worry. <3

[Grune goes right up to the mirror and gives him a big smile.] I'm very glad you're here. How are you, Dhaos?

[If the real Dhaos is paying very close attention, he might notice a few wisps of black mist just beginning to filter into the mirror.]

^^ <3 You guys make me feel awesome. LOL.

[The persona does the usual Dhaos reply of just staring blankly, but eventually he gives her a small smile.]

Fair enough. You?

[Dhaos sees, but doesn't notice. He thinks it's just something this place does, and is too busy hoping his past self doesn't reveal any sensitive information.]

<3 That's because you are.

[lostinmyway]

[At his smile, hers grows still larger.] Oh, I'm very good!

[She turns away from the mirror slightly, still not noticing the black mist. She should introduce them!] Dhaos, this is Dhaos.

We can share our awesome together! ^o^

[...That mist is starting to look a little ominous, huh. Dhaos isn't sure he likes this place.]

...We are already acquainted, Grune.

Indeed.

Oh, are you?

[The mist is quite thick behind the persona of Dhaos now. There might even be a figure standing amongst it--or is it a trick of the lack of light?]

[...Okay, now Dhaos is starting to get worried. Upon seeing the frown on the actual Dhaos' face, the persona mimics his expression and turns around, ignoring Grune's question.]

...Who is it?

[lostinmyway]

[At the demand of Dhaos' persona, a masked woman steps partly out of the mist. She takes in the group, her head turning only slightly; aside from this one movement, she is inhumanly still. She is silent, her face devoid of any expression, and only when she looks to Grune does she speak.]

Grune. Why are you still here?

[Grune returns her gaze, faint confusion on her face. She's seen this woman before...hasn't she?]

Oh, I just got here.

[whatdeheckisdat]

[...Dhaos wishes he could feel her mana signature, but she seems to exist only in the mirror; it's as though only Grune and he are here. His persona's frown is becoming more and more pronounced.]

Who are you?

[lostinmyway]

[The masked woman's head slowly turns until she's looking directly at Dhaos.] Child of angels, it is not your place to speak.

[Then she returns her attention to Grune.] You are still not where you must be. Have you forgotten your purpose so completely?

[Her confusion deepens, but distantly.] Hmm.... Have I?

[Child of... She could tell? How...? Both Dhaos and his persona look equally taken aback.

...More importantly, Grune's 'purpose'...]

Answer me. Who are you, and how are you familiar with Grune?

[lostinmyway]

[The masked woman looks at him again, and this time, there is just the faintest shade of disapproval in her voice.] Child of angels, I told you it is not your place to speak.

[She addresses Grune.] Have you made no efforts to recall what you are meant to do?

[Grune blinks.] Oh, well, if it's important, it'll come back to me. There's no sense in worrying.

[Dhaos' persona shifts uncomfortably-- if there is something Grune is meant to do, she's going to be very upset that she forgot it when she remembers...

Dhaos himself can feel his anger bubbling at being so easily dismissed.]

If it so irks you, why not tell her yourself?

[The masked woman doesn't respond to his demand. It's as if Dhaos doesn't exist.

Instead, she says to Grune:] If you are content to wait and let time take its course, then the world will have returned to nothingness long before you recall your purpose.

[This time, when Grune replies, some of the softness is gone from her voice.] ...I won't let that happen.

You will have no choice.

[Stop ignoring him!

...The world will have what?

Grune is...

Considering nothing is happening... There is an awful lot happening. Dhaos' persona finally speaks:]

Are you an enemy or an ally? Why not enlighten us?

[lostinmyway]

[The persona turns to look at him.] It is not for you to understand.

[Grune doesn't speak. She needs to try to remember....]

Sometimes that fails to matter when the fates of worlds are involved.

[The real Dhaos' fist clenches at his side-- but he has to remember that it's only a mirror, and it isn't doing anything worth his anger. He needs to calm down...

He looks at Grune, trying to remember whatever it is she's forgotten. ...Come to think of it, she never has mentioned any form of childhood, and never did answer his question about what species she was. Had she forgotten?]

This matter is between Grune and I alone.

[Grune's gaze has yet to leave the persona in the mirror, but it's distant and unfocused. She knows now the memory is there, so why can't she...?]

[The masked woman regards her for a moment.] Grune. Your attempts to remember are futile. It is senseless to struggle when the world is already on the path to destruction. In time, you will remember...though it may already be too late.

[With those final words, the woman vanishes, purple light and mist swallowing her up. The remains of the mist fade from the mirror soon afterwards.]

Wait.

[...Too late. She's gone. Dhaos' persona stares blankly at the spot where she disappeared as the actual Dhaos turns to Grune.

...Amnesia. It isn't just that Grune has a bad memory: there is something important she must remember, and she cannot. And there may be an entire world waiting for her...

Suddenly, Dhaos feels cold.]

...Grune?

[lostinmyway]

[The fingers of one of Grune's hands are sitting at her temple. She's still staring at the mirror.]

…Yes? [Her voice sounds very far away.]

[whatdeheckisdat]

[...Dhaos is worried now. Both of them. He can't ask if everything is alright, because it clearly isn't, and she'll just tell him she's fine if he asks how she feels...]

...

[He's got nothing. So he'll just put a hand on her shoulder.]

[lostinmyway]

[At the touch of his hand on her shoulder, she blinks and comes back to herself. She looks up and smiles.]

Hello, Dhaos!

[...Sigh. Dhaos' persona, who is not used to Grune's eccentricities, frowns.]

...How do you feel?

[Give it up, it's fruitless.]
