I see the bad moon rising / I see trouble on the way

Who: Everyone!
What: There are these crazy masks everywhere, you see. And does the moon look strange to you?
When: The 23rd through the 30th. (If you want to backdate a thread in here to the 22nd for some reason, feel free. A separate log for the day of Halloween will go up at a later date!)
Where: Everywhere!
Summary: Things are starting to get a little spooky around here. What with masks that range from silly to creepy to downright menacing turning up everywhere, the people wearing them beginning to act strangely, and that menacing moon looking down.... why, it's starting to feel a little like Halloween.
Rating: Anywhere from G to hard R for violence, I'd imagine.

Let's say 25th?

[By this point, Draco's gotten the hang of just how the Mask of Truth works. It's both interesting and terrifying all at once. And when he was uncertain of himself he knew he had to track down someone with common sense.

That's why today he was out hunting down Ginia, first checking Cloud 9 before going anywhere else. He's not expecting her to be a ghost, however, so he's having a bit of a hard time finding her.]

[While Ginia is getting very tired of her incorporeal state, there's some enjoyment in being a ghost. Going wherever one pleases, drifting about, lots of peace and quiet and time for reflection, it's actually a little nice. That said, communication is a bit of a pain and one can only haunt locations for so long.

It's by a stroke of good luck Draco checks Cloud Nine while she's hanging around there, mostly making sure nothing's been broken or ruined over the last few days. She's off in the kitchen when she hears someone on the main floor and comes out to investigate.

In this case, coming out means walking directly through a wall.]

[When he entered the door of Cloud Nine, he peered around trying to determine where she could be.

Of course, that's quickly answered when she seemingly floats right through the wall and into the main room. Okay, not so seemingly. She did. She did just walk right through the wall.]

...how did you just do that?

[Oh, it's Draco, hello there. She smiles and waves at him before gesturing at her mostly incorporeal state. Oh, and the ghost mask that's been pushed up a bit so she can see better, but is still very much attached to her. Luck she has no.]

[He's just going to give her a grin under his own mask. Except hey, how come she can move hers? He's yet to figure it out himself.]

That's almost kind of amazing. [It helped that Draco was used to ghosts popping in and out of the castle, but this was different.] What happened?

[Two days of fiddling and the need to remove an ever pressing feeling of claustrophobia has done a lot in getting the mask away from her face. Not completely off, not yet, but it's a start.

Ginia sighs and begins to mime the following:

A horizontal wave of her hand in an indication of height and miming pulling a cowl over her head.

A hand covering her face, then slowly pulling away as if it was drawing something out.

Crumpling to the floor, then slowly rising back up, ghost mask completely on.]

[It's a bit hard to follow what exactly happened, but he seems to understand the gist of it.] ...someone killed you and now you're stuck like this. Am I right?

[Thumbs up! Ten points to Slytherin for comprehension!]

[And that's how it's done! He seems pretty pleased with himself, though a bit disturbed by what that implies.] How did you manage to get yours off like that though? Just...pulling?

[A nod, holding up two fingers, then writing out D-A-Y in the air. Lots of time to experiment and shift the mask around to something comfortable and breathable. Not... that ghosts need to breathe.]

I'm hoping I won't have to wait that long before this whole thing blows over. I can't get this to budge at all.

[Ginia thinks a bit before she mimes lots of tugging and pulling at her mask. Some have had luck pulling their mask off.

Oh! Or she mimes finding a new mask and putting it on. Doesn't solve the solution of being maskless, but that's what Giles did.

At least there's the intention. It could read as a lot of flailing.]

[Yeah sorry he's just sort of staring.] ...you know, this was a lot easier when you could write. I don't want to put another one on though if that's what you're suggesting.
