Who: Everyone!
What: There are these crazy masks everywhere, you see. And does the moon look strange to you?
When: The 23rd through the 30th. (If you want to backdate a thread in here to the 22nd for some reason, feel free. A separate log for the day of Halloween will go up at a later date!)
Where: Everywhere!
Summary: Things are starting to get a little spooky around here. What with masks that range from silly to creepy to downright menacing turning up everywhere, the people wearing them beginning to act strangely, and that menacing moon looking down.... why, it's starting to feel a little like Halloween.
Rating: Anywhere from G to hard R for violence, I'd imagine.

I've known for a long time. Buffy, she knew since...since before the Malnosso sent me home. And I know because she's the most beautiful, merciful, kind, exquisite woman I have ever chanced to meet.

[THIS IS NOT THE SORT OF THING HE WOULD NORMALLY BLURT OUT TO CASUAL ACQUAINTANCES. And that fact is making him back away from Shikki, as though she can hurt him.]

[And she's just monitoring him. That mask of hers looks absolutely perplexed by now.] You really can't filter with that mask, can you?

...what if we taped your mouth shut? Do you think that'd help? That way you can't blab.

...This might be possibly the best idea, all things considered. Right. Try, then.

Okay come on, have a seat. [And she's unzipping her hip-bag to pull out some tape.] I've got fabric tape, scotch tape and electrical tape. Any preference?

This "electrical tape"---it doesn't electrocution a man, does it?

[He has not yet gotten onto the question of what the Scotch tape must do to a man.]

...noooot quite, no. [She holds up the small black roll, also taking out a pair of scissors.] It's just really strong. Like strong enough to rip your hair out.

Ah. Possibly just the non-rippiest one, then? I'd like to still have lips after this Shift is done.

Scotch tape it is, then. [And she'll go about taking it out of the bag to rip it apart.]

Erm---just be gentle, lass?

It's not going to hurt, I promise. You just have to hold still. [And on goes the first piece of tape.]

Mmmmmmph. [He holds still, yes, and finds having his mouth taped shut to be highly unnerving. But this is for the greater good--stifle all that honesty Shikki! Bottle it right up before it does someone a mischief!]

[She's really hoping that this is going to be strong enough...but it's scotch tape. So she'll be adding a few different layers onto it. It's a patchwork job, but when she pulls back there are a few long layers on scotch tape over the pirate's mouth.]

There. Now you can't open your mouth and all of your secrets will be safe.

[She just grins.] You're welcome. Be careful, okay? [She hands over the roll of scotch tape though.] You might want to keep this, just in case.

[He will take the tape with him. It will be so hard to stifle all speech, and really the mask WANTS him to talk. But he'll do his best.
