Let 'em say we're crazy, I don't care about that!

Who: Everyone!
What: The final day. Moonfall. Twenty-Four hours remain. How do you spend it?
When: The 30th, all day
Where: Anywhere
Summary: The last day. The end has come. The moon is coming down and piercing the barrier. Nothing can stop it.
Rating: It will vary.

Details are here. But here's a recap and expansion!

By the time morning hits Luceti, the Moon has begun to breach the barrier, noticeable by how the barrier will fluctuate about the Moon's face in strange ribbons of energy. The oceans and lakes begin to rage as they are caught by the Moon's gravity. The ground begins to quake in an unsettling way. Small and harmless tremors that will slowly intensify over the course of the day. With the Moon already partway through the barrier, it will be noticeable that it is not quite as large as the real Moon. Though quite vast, the Moon itself does is not quite the entire size of Luceti, but is large enough to span the entire village and more. The Moon's angered face does not cease for a moment, even as it becomes the only sight in the sky.

Yet it remains in the sky, slowly breaking through the barrier, and proving indestructible in spite of all that is thrown at it. In the evening it will begin to cause gravitational disturbances, drawing up debris and small objects into the air. When it finally reaches midnight, the bottom of the Moon will be one mile above Luceti. At that point, all will suddenly black out and know no more. What becomes of the Moon? Does Luceti go splat? Will CJ finally get his moon rocks? Stay tuned!

[...yeah, okay, if he's going to admit to having spent the last several days in John's care, Fuuko has earned the right to help. Giles gingerly takes her hand.]

I've been doing my best but, um, under the circumstances...you must admit, it's quite easy to be gotten down.

Of course, as things are now it's very easy to become upset. It's not everyday the moon falls and kills everyone.

[Pulling at his hand to drag him along. Sorry Giles, hope you can walk alright now.]

But you can't let it get to you!! Fuuko had thought that this situation was too much for Fuuko to handle, but it's just like everything else that's happened in the past.

You've got to keep trying and do your best!! Then when the end comes you will know you've done all you can.

[...just be a dear and let him stay close to this nice, handy wall, Fuuko. And then yes, Giles can walk.

And he stares in Fuuko in uncomrehending, albeit present, shock at her words for several seconds, apparently so thrown by these declarations that he's temporarily managed to shake the hallucinations.

Eventually, however, he smiles as he's dragged along. Then Giles reaches into his pocket, pulls out a familiar wooden shape, and presses it into Fuuko's hand.

It's recognizably a starfish, if nothing else. One day soon, she'll need to help Giles work the fine details of carving a shape and not a stake.]
starfishlovesyou: (Huh?)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-10-31 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
[The dragging stops for a moment as Fuuko looks back to see what was just pushed into her hand. A starfish? ...He had this with him?

Most of her recent life she's been giving out stars all over the place, back in her own world and even here a little, but now someone has actually given her one in return. Sure it's not perfect, but who cares, it's a starfish.

Staring at the star for a moment, Fuuko shifts it over into her spare hand and hugs it close. Now she definitely needs to find Nagisa. Fuuko needs to tell her how happy she is that she found her, but also show off the new starfish she has. Oh, and Giles has to be there with her too.]

...if we are going to die, I didn't want us to die without you knowing that I have enjoyed out carving lessons so far.

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-10-31 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
When we come back there'll be many more to come!! Fuuko hopes that you'll continue to enjoy all of the lessons Fuuko has planned.

Do you still want to try for learning magic, Fuuko?
starfishlovesyou: (TAKE IT)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-10-31 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Fuuko would like to give magic a go someday! Then Fuuko can incorporate the starfish in with the magic and it would be very beautiful! Like when Draco made the starfish dance...
consultmybooks: (Giles is Amused)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2011-11-01 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
There might not be enough power to make them dance...not from the spirits...but I'm sure you could think of something equally spectacular.

[Fuuko nods and turns to face Giles.]

Fuuko already has plans for what sort of magic Fuuko would like to learn!

[Holding Giles' wooden carving above her head for a moment... And then pushing it out in front of her suddenly.]

Starfish Heat!! ...With magic, the true power of the Starfish Heat will be realised!

[Giles is so startled by this sudden display that he stumbles to a stop, staring blankly and...a little anxiously at his own carving.]

...t-true power?
starfishlovesyou: (Can I go now?)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-11-01 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! When the Starfish Heat is properly utilised, all of Fuuko's enemies will be so overcome by thoughts of the starfish that they'll completely forget about Fuuko, giving Fuuko and Fuuko's friends time to escape!

[...]

The last time Fuuko used the Starfish Heat it didn't work.

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2011-11-01 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
[...Giles fights long and hard not to laugh himself silly. What he does instead is reach out and pat Fuuko carefully on the head.]

I don't know. I think you could have at least made it to the corner before I'd stopped thinking about starfish.

[Mostly what he'd been thinking was "why is this strange girl shoving a starfish at me", but, well, the intent must have been there.]
starfishlovesyou: (You cannot comprehend starfish heat)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-11-01 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
[Placing her hands on her hips and closing her eyes. Her expression is nothing short of serious]

Not good enough! Fuuko needs to be able to enthrall Fuuko's enemies with the starfish long enough to find a hiding spot too.

[Sighing a little now.]

Fuuko even wrote Fuuko's autograph on a few of the starfish Fuuko used during the last Starfish Heat. It didn't seem to boost their appeal at all!

I'm afraid you might not be quite well known enough for autographs, Fuuko. At least not in this village.
starfishlovesyou: (I am 15 and what is this)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-11-02 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
So is that how it works? Being well known?

[Oooh. That explains why none of the thugs ended up going for the starfish with her name on then! ...Except it doesn't at all. Who wouldn't want a starfish?!]

No good! Fuuko will just have to try harder next time. Once the Starfish Festival is a great success, Fuuko will be able to distract anyone with a starfish signed with Fuuko's name!!

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2011-11-03 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
The Starfish Festival?

[...it's an interesting thought to distract him from the moon, at least.]

Still planning on putting on that show, then?
starfishlovesyou: (Huzzah!)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-11-05 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Of course! Fuuko intends to pull off the biggest and best festival that anyone has ever seen, all in the name of the starfish!!

[Oh this topic is wonderful. Sorry moon, but when the starfish festival is involved you just aren't that important.]

It's going to be a little cold now though, so Fuuko will probably wait until Spring to hold it.
