Let 'em say we're crazy, I don't care about that!

Who: Everyone!
What: The final day. Moonfall. Twenty-Four hours remain. How do you spend it?
When: The 30th, all day
Where: Anywhere
Summary: The last day. The end has come. The moon is coming down and piercing the barrier. Nothing can stop it.
Rating: It will vary.

Details are here. But here's a recap and expansion!

By the time morning hits Luceti, the Moon has begun to breach the barrier, noticeable by how the barrier will fluctuate about the Moon's face in strange ribbons of energy. The oceans and lakes begin to rage as they are caught by the Moon's gravity. The ground begins to quake in an unsettling way. Small and harmless tremors that will slowly intensify over the course of the day. With the Moon already partway through the barrier, it will be noticeable that it is not quite as large as the real Moon. Though quite vast, the Moon itself does is not quite the entire size of Luceti, but is large enough to span the entire village and more. The Moon's angered face does not cease for a moment, even as it becomes the only sight in the sky.

Yet it remains in the sky, slowly breaking through the barrier, and proving indestructible in spite of all that is thrown at it. In the evening it will begin to cause gravitational disturbances, drawing up debris and small objects into the air. When it finally reaches midnight, the bottom of the Moon will be one mile above Luceti. At that point, all will suddenly black out and know no more. What becomes of the Moon? Does Luceti go splat? Will CJ finally get his moon rocks? Stay tuned!

We make a pretty good team, don't we? [She grins as she remembers how much she had panicked back then after realizing she had lost her temper.] I was so scared you were going to think I was too violent and dismiss me! [She confesses. Well, they were going to die anyway. There's no point keeping such a trivial matter under wraps.]

Violent? I didn't think you were violent at all. Perhaps a bit bold, but... [He pauses, leaning back and looking up the ceiling with a fond smile.] ...that's one of the things I love about you.

[He grips her hand a little tighter.]

[Love...? Nobody had ever said that to her, aside from her parents. Her expression of shock slowly melts away into a true, completely sincere smile.] Heheh...thanks, Ion. I'm glad I got to know you.

[A-and...She'll lean over and hug you, burying her face in the crook of your shoulder.]

[Though Ion doesn't echo the sentiment, he doesn't have to. He doesn't need to use words for Anise to understand that he feels the same. Instead, he wraps his own arms around her and hugs her close, wishing in that moment that there was something, anything, he could do to keep her and everyone else safe from what was going to happen.]

[identity profile] pigtailed-loli.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
[There's a sudden crash as a moonrock shatters through the window. Anise flinches a bit. The moon is getting closer, slowly but surely, and they were probably really going to die. All of them.]

Ion...? We'll be together, right?
distressedude: (I'm sorry.)

[personal profile] distressedude 2011-11-04 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[Instinctively, Ion holds Anise tighter when the window breaks, fighting off the look of alarm that had spread over his own face and gently trying to soothe Anise.]

We will. [In addition to the hug, he's also making sure now that he still has a firm hold on her hand.] No matter what happens... I'm not going to let go.

[Regardless of what faces them in the coming moments, that's one thing he's absolutely certain of. Not even the end of the world would make him let go of this hand right now.]

[The wind is howling through the shattered window. It won't be long now...]

[...]

Anise?

[identity profile] pigtailed-loli.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah?

[The whole building rattles, and the sound of crashes rush in from the hallway. Anise gives Ion's hand another squeeze, then sits back so she can look right at his face. She still keeps his hand firmly in hers.]

You don't have to comfort me, Ion. I'm fine! [She smiles weakly.] I'm fine! I'm totally fine!
distressedude: (All stars fade away...)

[personal profile] distressedude 2011-11-08 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Anise... [Even now, she was still trying so hard... the weakness in that smile doesn't escape his eyes.]

[Although she had been the one to pull back just now, he's going to be the one to embrace her this time. With one arm wrapped around her back and the other still holding her hand tightly.]

[The wind is growing louder as more windows throughout the house begin to shatter. It feels like it's trying to pull the house apart. If Ion weren't so close right now, Anise may not have been able to hear him.]

Anise, I... there's something I want to tell you.

[identity profile] pigtailed-loli.livejournal.com 2011-11-09 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, what is it? [She keeps on smiling. If they are dying now, then she wants to go out with a smile and no regrets. Hopefully Ion would think that way too.]
distressedude: (But why is the rum gone?)

1/3

[personal profile] distressedude 2011-11-09 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[No regrets... that's exactly what Ion is thinking, although certainly not in the same line as Anise.]

[He'd resolved since the day he finally realized his feelings that, should the time ever come that Anise returned to Luceti, he would tell her. Luceti was unpredictable. He could be sent "home" at any time... of course, resolving to do something and actually doing it are two entirely different things. There just never seemed to be a proper time. Even trying to approach the subject seemed an impossible task.]

[But this may very well be his last chance.]
distressedude: (Don't ignore me!)

[personal profile] distressedude 2011-11-09 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
The truth is, I... Anise, I lo--
distressedude: (Did you hear something?)

[personal profile] distressedude 2011-11-09 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[But she won't get to hear the end of that sentence.]

[As midnight finally arrives, the house will give one last final shake as a deafening roar resounds throughout the room...!

[...and then everything goes dark.]
distressedude: (Run awaaaaay!)
