Let 'em say we're crazy, I don't care about that!

Who: Everyone!
What: The final day. Moonfall. Twenty-Four hours remain. How do you spend it?
When: The 30th, all day
Where: Anywhere
Summary: The last day. The end has come. The moon is coming down and piercing the barrier. Nothing can stop it.
Rating: It will vary.

Details are here. But here's a recap and expansion!

By the time morning hits Luceti, the Moon has begun to breach the barrier, noticeable by how the barrier will fluctuate about the Moon's face in strange ribbons of energy. The oceans and lakes begin to rage as they are caught by the Moon's gravity. The ground begins to quake in an unsettling way. Small and harmless tremors that will slowly intensify over the course of the day. With the Moon already partway through the barrier, it will be noticeable that it is not quite as large as the real Moon. Though quite vast, the Moon itself does is not quite the entire size of Luceti, but is large enough to span the entire village and more. The Moon's angered face does not cease for a moment, even as it becomes the only sight in the sky.

Yet it remains in the sky, slowly breaking through the barrier, and proving indestructible in spite of all that is thrown at it. In the evening it will begin to cause gravitational disturbances, drawing up debris and small objects into the air. When it finally reaches midnight, the bottom of the Moon will be one mile above Luceti. At that point, all will suddenly black out and know no more. What becomes of the Moon? Does Luceti go splat? Will CJ finally get his moon rocks? Stay tuned!

They do seem to enjoy flashy demonstrations of power, however.

Especially since this particular idea is both flashy and efficient.

It's all too fitting in both categories.

Yet all other Shifts had their share of unaffected villagers.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder why this one has differed so...
paladinlost: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-26 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It could simply be due to its scale.

[He stares up for a moment.]

Possibly so.

I doubt this moon could be told to avoid certain people, after all.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
If it destroys any of us, it destroys us all. We can do nothing about that.
paladinlost: (frowning)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-28 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
I'd rather see none of us destroyed.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-11-28 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think that possible, at this point?
paladinlost: (flowy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-28 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
No, though I doubt we'll stay destroyed.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Recreating everything in the compound seems as if it would be a great deal of effort.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-29 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
An investment is always worth some effort, especially one so great.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose that's so. I hope they don't alter us beyond recognition when they return us.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-30 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
They might do so and leave us with nothing but memories of our new appearance.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Then this could be the end of our true lives.
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-30 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
That'd be a shame. I liked it.

[identity profile] dragoon-pride.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
As did I. I'm sorry, for everything, if there's no further chance to say it.
paladinlost: (blow)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-12-01 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
...I must also apologize, even if I doubt you'll know why.

I owe you a thousand and none. It comes with age.

[Kain shakes his head, but he knows by now that there are some things he can't get Cecil to agree on.]

...We'll see if you still believe that in forty years.
