By the time morning hits Luceti, the Moon has begun to breach the barrier, noticeable by how the barrier will fluctuate about the Moon's face in strange ribbons of energy. The oceans and lakes begin to rage as they are caught by the Moon's gravity. The ground begins to quake in an unsettling way. Small and harmless tremors that will slowly intensify over the course of the day. With the Moon already partway through the barrier, it will be noticeable that it is not quite as large as the real Moon. Though quite vast, the Moon itself does is not quite the entire size of Luceti, but is large enough to span the entire village and more. The Moon's angered face does not cease for a moment, even as it becomes the only sight in the sky.

Yet it remains in the sky, slowly breaking through the barrier, and proving indestructible in spite of all that is thrown at it. In the evening it will begin to cause gravitational disturbances, drawing up debris and small objects into the air. When it finally reaches midnight, the bottom of the Moon will be one mile above Luceti. At that point, all will suddenly black out and know no more. What becomes of the Moon? Does Luceti go splat? Will CJ finally get his moon rocks? Stay tuned!

Yeah. But still, people are gonna hope, aren't they?

[ He doesn't have much hope for anywhere being safe in Luceti, even for him if his immortality fully returns. Firo turns to look out in the general direction of the tunnel entrance. It seems pretty far, but he wonders with a sigh if they should at least make an effort. ]

You can still try and make it, if you wanna. It wouldn't hurt you to try anymore than stayin' here would.

I guess...

[When Firo turns to look there, Nagisa turns her attention to that direction as well. Yeah those... are definitely pretty far away. She sighs.]

Maybe... but is it really safer there? I-I... [She honestly doesn't think it's any safer. And walking over there would mean staying outside longer, and having to stare up at that terrifying moon.]

[immamartillo]

I guess nobody really knows for sure. I don't think there's anybody here who's dealt with somethin' like this.

[ He shakes his head and presses his palm against his forehead. ]

To be honest I didn't even think stuff like this was possible.

[cherishedmiracle]

[She sighs.]

Y-yeah... And if people have then... I feel really bad that they would have to go through it again. I wouldn't think that it was possible either, b-but... [it's happening.]

[immamartillo]

[ He can't help but laugh, as he never considered to feel bad for anyone if they had been crushed by the moon before. It's not that it's particularly funny; the laughter is just an automatic reaction and a welcome distraction. ]

That's really not what I'd be worried about right now.

[cherishedmiracle]

[And Nagisa can't help but smile at least a little bit at that. Even if now isn't the best time to be laughing, it definitely is comforting. Nobody else is laughing right now, so...]

A-ahh, right... I suppose you're right. [After all, they should be worrying about it crushing them, right?]

[immamartillo]

[ That makes him smile slightly in return. ]

Not that it's bad to be worried about 'em or anything. But anybody who survived the moon once would be able to survive it again, right?

And maybe it won't actually come down all the way. You never know.

[cherishedmiracle]

That's true... I-I hope it doesn't...

[A pause.] What do you think is going to happen..?

[immamartillo]

[ He's quiet for a while before responding to the question. It's nothing new that Firo can't wrap his head around something, but at least before there have been people to explain it to him. Now it seems like nobody knows. ]

I have no idea. I wanna think this is all just a sick joke but...

[ He looks away and shrugs. ]

I just don't understand how or why this is happenin'. Do you?

[cherishedmiracle]

[She sighs and looks down.]

Oh... No, I don't really understand myself. I-I hope it's at least not as bad as it looks... [Though she's pretty sure it is as bad as it looks.] The stuff with the masks has just been an experiment though, hasn't it..? S-so...

[immamartillo]

So you think this might be an experiment too?

[ Firo looks up nervously. Even when he can't see the moon he feels like it could crash down at any moment. What bothers him even more is how powerful the Malnosso would have to be to control the moon. That would crush any hope of escape. ]

Do you really think they could control the moon, though?

[cherishedmiracle]

Maybe... T-that's what I've been hearing other people say, at least. And the masks seemed kind of like it. ...W-well, at least compared to the other experiments I've seen so far.

[After hearing Firo's question, she thinks for a moment.] The Malnosso are the ones who brought us here, aren't they..? And if they're able to control us a bit during experiments... t-then... maybe...

[At this point, she just really hopes that it is an experiment. That way there actually is at least some hope.]

[immamartillo]

You'd be a better judge than me. I've only seen a few of these. I guess that's preferable to all us dyin'.

[ Unless they all died anyway in the experiment, but he doesn't voice that concern. ]

They'd hafta be really powerful to control the moon, though, wouldn't they? I mean, it's huge!

[cherishedmiracle]

A-ah... well, I've only been through a few as well. They do seem really similar though, s-so..

I guess. But it looks really different from the moon, doesn't it..? So maybe it's another moon. [Or maybe she's just crazy.]

[immamartillo]

You think so?

...Well, the moon back home didn't have an ugly mug like that, that's for sure.

[cherishedmiracle]

[A nod.] Neither did the one back at my home. And the one here doesn't normally look like this, either. So maybe..!

[immamartillo]

That'd be nice. Really nice. Gettin' squashed by the moon is a lousy way to die.

[ A smile flickers onto his face but quickly fades. He's still afraid they may be getting their hopes up for nothing. ]

[cherishedmiracle]

Mhhm... It doesn't sound very pleasant at all...

[Between that latter thought of Firo's and the fact that well.. they're talking about how they're going to die, Nagisa's smile is pretty much faded at this point too.]

[immamartillo]

[ He nods, sighing quietly. ]

So let's hope you're right... what was your name again?

[cherishedmiracle]

My name..? [Oh, right. They never went through introductions, have they?] Um... Nagisa. Nagisa Furukawa! What's yours?

[immamartillo]

Firo Prochainezo. It's nice to meet'cha, Nagisa.

[ He musters a small smile. ]

Ahh... it's very nice to meet you too, Firo!

[Such an awful time for introductions but... Owell.]
