By the time morning hits Luceti, the Moon has begun to breach the barrier, noticeable by how the barrier will fluctuate about the Moon's face in strange ribbons of energy. The oceans and lakes begin to rage as they are caught by the Moon's gravity. The ground begins to quake in an unsettling way. Small and harmless tremors that will slowly intensify over the course of the day. With the Moon already partway through the barrier, it will be noticeable that it is not quite as large as the real Moon. Though quite vast, the Moon itself does is not quite the entire size of Luceti, but is large enough to span the entire village and more. The Moon's angered face does not cease for a moment, even as it becomes the only sight in the sky.

Yet it remains in the sky, slowly breaking through the barrier, and proving indestructible in spite of all that is thrown at it. In the evening it will begin to cause gravitational disturbances, drawing up debris and small objects into the air. When it finally reaches midnight, the bottom of the Moon will be one mile above Luceti. At that point, all will suddenly black out and know no more. What becomes of the Moon? Does Luceti go splat? Will CJ finally get his moon rocks? Stay tuned!

Despite how it may appear, Luke, now is not the time to go rushing into things without thinking. [Jade's voice is stern, firm, calm. The practiced voice of a soldier. Now was not the time to have them fall to pieces, neither literally nor figuratively.

Even if the moon was to crash into Luceti this instant, it was obvious from the amount of effort he was exerting that he simply didn't hold the power to destroy it. Jade doubted very much that they were staring into the face of death, but even on the off chance they were this was not the way to go about it.]

I will ask you to stop again. I'd rather not deal with the consequences of forcing you. [Or the possible rebound stopping this so suddenly.]

We don't have any time to think!

[The ground had been shaking, the ocean was going crazy, and the moon was so close that he couldn't see its entire twisted expression. It was going to crash down any moment, he knew it...]

Don't try to stop me, Jade! [There's more than one reason why his voice seems to be mildly panicked: What would happen if someone tried stopping him? No one's even come close to him before. Right now, even Jade's closer than any human ought to be right now.] I can't stop when everyone else is trying...!

We don't have any time to panic and wind up making foolish mistakes either.

Do you honestly believe that the Malnosso would have gone to all of this trouble to keep us alive for this vast amount of time simply to kill us off at this moment? Even if this was an attack by an outside force, or an event that they wanted us to handle on our own, I doubt their intelligence division would be so incompetent as to leave us no room for a warning. [Really, Luke. This was simply dangerous. There wasn't any room for him to go back to throwing his life away at the first opportunity. And what of the others? That too bought a valid point to mind:]

Luke, if someone were to get too close to the moon and your hyperressonance at this moment, what do you think would happen? Have you warned any of the others who may be trying to stop it's descent?

[The questions make Luke give a sharp intake, and his eyes to snap open. Indeed... What would happen if someone got too close? A lot of people here don't know what hyperresonance is capable of, or even what it is.]

N... No.

[It's the thought of what would happen if someone got too close, if someone saw him and, unlike Jade, didn't know what he was capable of, and tried touching him... that makes the lines in the moon start to recede. The job wasn't done; he couldn't just immediately stop like he did after lowering the Outer Lands. If he did this too fast, it could go out of control again.]
