[Oh, if only Beast knew that chicken noodle soup does come in a can. Then he'd be much more helpful.

But, he doesn't need to know that - but, Mac isn't a friend, he shouldn't lie, right? - but... but he must come back with him!] I... I... h-have some...

Really? ...I don' wanna be a bother or nothin', but... could I have a lil' bit? I'll, uh, think a' some way t'return the favour?

[A little nod... maybe he'll just forget about the soup when they get there? Hopefully?] Uh... f-follow me then. [Turning toward the clinic.]

[Nodding acknowledgingly, Mac tags along with one hand clapped over his nose. Despite his best efforts, however- -]

Jesus!! [- -An unexpectedly powerful sneeze not only lifts him off his feet but launches him some ten feet backwards into a crumpled heap.]

Mac-? [But then he turns to see Mac all the way... how did he get...?!] MAC! [He hurries over to him as quickly as his form will allow him.] A-are you al... wh-what happened?!

[He sits up tentatively, wincingly, a low moan escaping him.] Ugh... Geez, man, that was one hell of a sneeze! It was like blastin' off in a rocket or somethin'! [Using a nearby tree to brace himself, he shakily rises to his feet, aching.] Gotta get that soup an' fast b'fore somebody gets hurt real bad... Y'better go ahead. Stickin' right by me ain't a good idea.

Y-you can barely stand... [He can't go on like this forever, and they need to...

He turns around to face his back toward Mac.] Get on.

I'm ok- - [At the invitation to climb onto Beast's back, he promptly shuts up, blinking dumbly. He hadn't ever thought of this furry fellow as an animal to be ridden, like a horse.] Wait... y'serious? Y'want me to sit on ya? ...What if I sneeze on ya?

If we don't get there soon, you will. [Besides, his fur... strangely wants some attention right now.]

[Well, Beast does have a point.

Complying, Mac cautiously mounts the other's back, unsure of what to grab for purchase - after all, gripping fistfuls of fur would be kind of painful, he figures. He may be packing a fair bit of muscle as a result of his training, but being under five feet, he should not be too great a burden for Beast to carry.] This is kind a' weird ~~an' lumpy~~... Uhh...

[Yes, being a beast is awkward, he knows. He shrugs his shoulders for Mac to see.] Here.

Uh... okay. Think I got it. [He hooks his hands around Beast's shoulders as suggested. Gee - this guy has got some serious bulk to him.] How's that?

That... [Hold on; the grip on his fur feels nice. If only Mac didn't have to keep his hands here to stay on, or else he'd ask for a pet.] ... I-is good. Alright. [And now he drops on all fours to make sure he gets to his house in sooner time.]

Whoa! [This would be more thrilling if it weren't a little uncomfortable - being jostled around and flopping against Beast's back while he bounds through town, that is. This is what riding a mechanical bull must be like, he muses, while holding on for dear life.]

[It doesn't take too long for them to reach Beast's new house, but Mac probably got quite shaken up during the ride and he's a little oblivious to this at the moment. He skids through the snow before coming to a halt in front of the door.]

Ooh... [A light moan. Mac's brain still feels like it's rocking in his skull when he dismounts, swaying slightly on the spot.] I get the feelin'...I'm the first guy y'ever carried on y'back. [He fights to shake off his daze after a while.]

What? ... Oh. [He puts a paw out to support him.] S-sorry.

[He then moves over to the door and opens it for Mac to come in.]

[Thank you, Beast (and your furry paw,) for steadying him. The kid accepts the invitation to enter soon after, looking about the place curiously after tugging off his shoes. If the place doesn't happen to be messy, he will be a little surprised; no offense, but he simply wouldn't assume Beast to be the sort obsessed with keeping things neat and tidy ...although his had felt smooth and luxuriously clean, even. ~~It begged the question of whether Beast used shampoo as a body wash, or if he simply used it on his head.~~]

[Mac would be right in assuming that Beast isn't the cleanest housekeeper in the world, but thanks to the large space he now has, it's much easier to make it look less messy than it really is.

As for the fur, he has cleaned it especially for today, which is why he's suddenly coming up to Mac after he closes the door, displaying his fluffiness to him as he ruffles it again.] I... c-could you?

[He blinks, looking into Beast's face for an explanation. Should he be feeling a little uneasy?] Could I... what?

I... um... [Okay, he's not going to say exactly, that's too much. Instead he's stroking himself with his own paw, looking up at it, really hoping this gets the message across.]

[And after a great deal of puzzled starting, realization dawns upon him with all the subtlety of something dropping on his head.] ...Wh... whoa! [Clearly, he has just so happened to misinterpret the situation as one he does not want to find himself in.

This can't be right... Although he isn't sure if he'd want to stand and think it over a little longer.

Stepping backwards, he stumbles into an end-table, nearly knocking it over. He instinctively steadies it.] Look, uh, I, I think I should go-- uuah! [A sudden sneeze interrupts him, sounding like a honking noisemaker - and what do you know? It comes complete with tissue-paper streamers and confetti.]

Wh-wha-? Mac...? [And then that sneeze happens and what... what is happening? Is this a party?

Wait, no it's not, because Mac is...] Mac! [He rushes over to help him up again... well, at least before he accidentally slips on a streamer and falls flat on his back.] OW!

[And now the pain distracts him from pondering what just happened.]

What the- -?! [The heavy thump of Beast hitting the floor startles him and he ends up stopping short of leaving, with one hand over his nose and another on the doorknob.] Uh... you... okay?
