Hey! What are friends for! Either way! Like you said, good thing we don't have to worry about that.

[He laughs, shakes his head.] Good thing. C'mon. I could go for some food, actually.

Yeah, just thinking about is making me hungrier! I wonder what I should get. Maybe a burger! Or a chili dog. Or maybe some chicken! Or fish!

Or maybe 'all of the above' if you're especially hungry.

I got an idea! How about we just order one of everything and see how much we can finish together!

...We'll have to finish most of it, if we don't wanna make whoever's cooking mad at us. [Oho? Is that a CHALLENGE ACCEPTED from Naoki? It may very well be.]

Ah well, whatever we don't finish we'll just take home as leftovers!

[Naoki grins.] Then...let's do it.

Alright! Let's go and see who can eat the most!

It's a competition, eh? You're on. [To the restaurant, away!]

I wouldn't say a competition. Competition means you'd have a chance. We'd better find a big table for all the food we'll be getting.

[THEM SOUNDS LIKE FIGHTIN' WORDS.] Heh? Are you saying you're gonna win, Vash?

Of course! But don't feel too bad, it takes years to become as good as I am.

[Naoki snorts.] We'll just see about that.

And see we shall! [Vash opens the door to Seventh Heaven and shouts loudly as he walks through.] No need for menus! We want one of everything and the biggest table that you got!

[Huh, hope Naoki likes attention, as pretty much every diner and waiter is now staring at the two.]

[... Naoki facepalms next to him. Oi, oi.]

[While the waiters are a bit dumbfounded trying to figure out if this strange man is serious, Vash goes ahead and picks out what he thinks is the biggest table available.]

Ah! And a couple beers to start out with to drink!

Hitting the booze already? [He comments as he pulls up a chair. His cheeks are pink (why did you have to draw attention like that, Vash) as he looks around sheepishly.]

Hey! What kind of eating contest doesn't have some good, cold beer to go with it!

Hmm, I guess so. [He rubs his chin thoughtfully.]

[Vash grins as a waiter brings over a large glass of beer. He picks it up, bringing it up to his mouth.] Penny for your thoughts? [Then he's gulping down half of that glass in just one or two gulps.] AHHHH! Refreshing!

... [Naoki stares, eyebrows lifted right up, then he laughs.] My thoughts right now are kinda revolving around how I'm impressed you could drink all that so fast.
