[Luke pauses from his run and looks down, smiling at the stranger.]

Me? Just going for a run. Its easier to practice long-jumps from roof to roof.

[He'll hop down, and offer a smart salute]

I'm Luke, Luke Skywalker. I don't believe we've met.

[meteorical]

[She follows his form with her eyes, watching him jump down and nodding in a greeting.]

We haven't. I'm Kairi. Nice to meet you. Interesting form of training you've got. Are you used to having to do long-jumps often where you're from?

[thefinaljedi]

Nice to meet you, Kairi.
[He offers a hand]
Somewhat, yes. I'm trying to learn to deal with the effects of the barrier, pushing the extent of my powers.

[meteorical]

[And she's going to shake his hand.]

What have you found out so far about your limits?

Well, I've started to expand my jumping ability back towards its original form. I came here at roughly thirty percent capacity, but I'm gradually getting better. I'm still shaky when it comes to Force Flight, and my telekinesis is much weaker.

My lightsaber skills aren't affected at all, it seems the barrier only directly interferes with my connection to the Force

[He says this, of course not having a CLUE that she's got no idea what he's talking about]

[meteorical]

[Nope, absolutely no idea, but she's pretty good at just nodding along and pretending she gets it. It all sounds interesting, anyway.]

That's pretty good though, considering I doubt you've been here that long. I know a few people that are still trying to build themselves back up. But I'm going to ask you an obvious question...what's the Force?

[Then he gets a small, dorky grin, realizing he's probably just confused her even worse than someone like Atsuro]

I...am sorry. I got ahead of myself. The Force is...the power of a Jedi Knight, which I am. Its an energy field created by all life. It permeates everything, and by manipulating it a Jedi can do extraordinary things.

[meteorical]

[She perks up a tiny bit though.] I was talking to someone else earlier this week that was talking about Jedi Knights. I didn't realize there were a few of you here. So basically you can shift energy to get it to do what you want?

[thefinaljedi]

Yes, there are several of us. Myself, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Adele, Leonardo, and my father, Anakin Skywalker.

And in general, yes, thats the idea. However, we can also use the Force for other things, like telepathy, or reading another's motions.

[meteorical]

I think the one I spoke with was Anakin. I didn't realize he had a son. [Actually she wasn't sure Anakin looked old enough to have a son as old as Luke, but...timelines. She gets it.]

So it's also a little bit of magic mixed in. Sounds pretty powerful. Dangerous, but powerful.

Right, Anakin is my father. Just...a few years younger than I am thanks to the Malnosso.

The Force is similar to magic, yes. It does have its dark side, and drawing too deeply on that risks overwhelmingly altering one's perceptions. It isn't always easy to control that.

[meteorical]

They're pretty infamous for messing with our timelines. Sorry about that.

[Sounds like the light and darkness of her own world...] I think I'm familiar with the concept. The light and darkness of heart is similar, in a way. If a person lets too much darkness in, it'll swallow them whole and destroy them. And it's not always easy to reverse the effects. I'm not surprised it's popped up in other worlds.

Why apologize? I never knew my father as he is now, its nice to see him in his prime.

[He's pretty good at picking up on these sorts of things, forgive him, he can't really turn off his senses]

Is...your power that of the Heart? I feel...something different about you, but to be honest I can't quite place what.

[meteorical]

[She looks a little surprised.] Something like that, yes. In order to wield a Keyblade, you have to have a very strong heart.

[thefinaljedi]

Oh? Are you a Keyblade fighter as well? I've met Aqua, and he told me a bit about them.

[meteorical]

[Well, she currently believes she is, yes. Though she's not bad normally either...] Yeah, she's one of the Masters. I've been fighting with one for a few years.

[thefinaljedi]

You must have begun using one very young then.

Keyblades sound like most curious weapons. I'd be interested in seeing one, sometime.

[meteorical]

[She at least has the grace to look a tiny bit embarrassed.] Not as young as some. Sora's been using it longer than I have. I've only been wielding one since I was 15.

I could show you if you're really interested. The Malnosso gave me mine back a few years ago.

[thefinaljedi]

I'd like that, actually. In return, I can show you my lightsaber, if you're interested.

[He laughs a bit, pulling out a 9 inch long metal tube]

[meteorical]

Definitely. I've never even heard of one before. [But soon she's just staring at the metal tube, temporarily forgetting about summoning her Keyblade.] ...wait, it's a tube?

[thefinaljedi]

[He turns it around and ignites it into a brilliant beam of green light]

Its...more than that. The tube is just a way to hide it.

[meteorical]

[Her eyes widen as the beam appears, and she almost reaches toward it but decides last-minute that that's a really, really stupid idea. It's a lot bigger than she expected, and she's just going to let her eyes wander over it.]

...it's so bright. And it's all just made of light energy?

[thefinaljedi]

It is. I wouldn't touch it, as it can cut through nearly any non-magical material. It is a traditional weapon in my world. A Jedi's weapon.

[He presses a button and retracts the blade]

[meteorical]

I'm impressed. [Op and there is goes.] I guess it's only fair to show you the Keyblade now, isn't it? [She backs away and holds out her hand, soon summoning forth Destiny's Embrace.]

[thefinaljedi]

I suppose it is fair. [When he sees it, he blinks, and gives it an interested look]

It...really does look like a key. Huh, I didn't think it would be quite so literal!
