Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

[Aang, in Kyoshi garb, eventually reaches the booth and notices Toothless.]

Whoa! Is that a dragon?

[Hiccup grins, nodding and patting Toothless on the neck. Toothless, for his part, doesn't seem too impressed with Aang.]

Yep! He's one of the dragons from my island back home. His name is Toothless.

[Aang waves to Toothless with a goofy grin.]

Hi Toothless! I'm Aang, nice to meet you!

[He then addresses Hiccup.]

He's really cool. I've met a few dragons back home, but none of them look like him.

[Aang will at least get a nod from Toothless. And that's not bad, for a first meeting!]

You have? What do they look like? Are there many in your world?

[He figures Aang's world must be a pretty interesting place, judging from the, um. Costume he's got on.]

They're... kinda endangered, back home. I only know of two living dragons who hide in secret. They're a lot bigger than your friend there, and they have different bodies. But they're wise and nice creatures, and they know secrets about Firebending.

[Endangered...he can't even imagine it. Berk is just crawling with dragons.]

Wait--Firebending? Isn't that sort of like Katara's Waterbending? [It sounds vaguely familiar.] Are you from her world?

Right! My name's Aang.

It's nice to meet you, Aang. [Even though he's still not really sure what to make of the outfit.] I'm Hiccup. I'm one of Katara's, um. Friends.

Nice to meet you too, Hiccup! A friend of Katara's is a friend of mine.

So, uhh...can I ask why you're dressed like that? Is that a...bending thing?

[There's got to be some logical explanation for the get-up, man. Sokka and Katara don't dress this weird.]

[Oh, if only Hiccup knew about some of their get-ups... or that this costume was actually Sokka's.]

I was wearing this for my Earthbending presentation. It's what I wore in a previous life!

Uh...a previous life? What do you mean by that?

[Yeah, he sort of doesn't know a thing about reincarnation.]

Sometimes after someone dies, their spirit is reborn in a new person. [He shrugs.] It's what happens when you're the Avatar.

...Oh. [That's...odd. He's never heard of anything like that happening before.] So you're kind of like...immortal, then?

It's kinda complicated. My spirit will be around forever... but my reincarnation will be their own person too.

[Whoa. This is heavy duty.] Sooo...you must be pretty important, right? [Which would make Katara and Sokka important, too. WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL HIM.]

Oh, yeah, back home I'm important. I'm called the Avatar. I'm supposed to maintain balance over the world and everything. You don't have to treat me specially or anything.

[Maintain balance over the world? Sheesh.] Aaare you sure? That sounds like a pretty big deal.

It's a big duty, yeah, but I don't really like the attention. And it's something I don't think I would have done if I didn't have to. [And if he hadn't met Katara and Sokka.]

[Having to do something big you don't really want to? Yeah, Hiccup can identify with that.] Just one of those things you...sorta had to do, huh?

Yep! Just gotta do my Avatar thing. It's something you grow into.

Yeah...I hear you there. [Except he had to grow into being someone he wasn't supposed to be in the first place.]

Did you have some kind of experience like that?

You could say that. [He glances to Toothless.] I mean, I was the first viking to befriend a dragon. So there's that.

I don't know what a viking is, but that sounds like a really great feat! I know dragons back home were really hard to get close to.
