Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

Fine. You're just like Claire, damn it.

[The difference is that Crow really is different from humans and Claire just acts like it.]

Why wouldn' it matter to me? You're Seto's friend, I have to make sure you don't hurt yourself.

[You're honorary family, pal, whether you like it or not.]

But I won't be hurt, and Seto... [A slight pause.] Well, he knows that too, but he's the type of guy who would still worry anyway, I guess.

[But do you actually care whether we were hurt or not, not just because Seto likes us?]

[immamartillo]

Fine.

[He's going to give up on convincing Crow that he can't be injured.]

And... Well, I guess you're right about Seto. But that just means you need to be extra careful so he worries less.

[Honestly, Firo is worried about Crow, and not just because he's friends with Seto. He just doesn't want to let Crow know that yet.]

[tomodachi]

[...Man, he hates when you're right.]

...Fine, whatever. [If only for Seto will Crow try to keep an eye on not throwing himself completely into reckless things--he's already freaked out his best friend twice with possible collapses, the second time being the definitive one.]

Really-?

[Wait, Firo's actually right? Even he looks surprised to have Crow agreeing with him, but he quickly covers it up by nodding and forcing a smile.]

Um, yeah. Good. So you'll make sure to take good care of yourself?

[The first step would probably be getting off the roof, but Firo's not so sure he actually wants to do that.]

[tomodachi]

[Crow certainly doesn't want to get off the roof yet, as he kicks some loose ice off the edge before making to sit down.] Sure, whatever--not like I wasn't doing that already.

[Well as far as "keeping our balance so that we don't fall off roofs", he means.]

[Firo watches the ice fall off the edge before turning back to look at Crow. He doesn't even try to hide the sarcasm in his voice.]

Yeah. Sure you were.

[He moves closer to the edge where Crow is.]

I doubt I could get you to keep off the roofs, but you know not to go too far into the woods and stuff, right?

Got no reason to--why, is there something in the woods I should know about?

[Oh no Firo why did you bring up the possibility of going into the woods...]

[He glances at Crow warily. Hopefully what he knows about the danger of the woods will warn Crow off... or it might encourage him to go check it out.]

Well, they're huge so it'd be pretty easy to get lost. Last time I heard there was a huge wolf out there, too.

[tomodachi]

Huh, really?

[We don't remember seeing any large wolves out there the last time we walked around in the woods, but that's kind of interesting...]

How huge is it?

[immamartillo]

Big. Really big. Like bigger than a car, I think.

[He never actually saw it for himself, but he figures size could be a good deterrent for Crow if there is any.]

[tomodachi]

[It takes a long, long minute before Crow even knows what you're talking about in regards to what a car is.]

...That big, huh? [That's pretty big.] None of the dogs and wolves were that big back where I was from...

[He kind of wants to see it now, even though he doesn't really care for wolves or dogs...]

[immamartillo]

Yeah, I don't think they were even close to that back home. Not that I ever actually saw a wolf before, but in pictures.

So stay away from the woods, who knows what it could do to you.

[tomodachi]

[And then Crow disregarded that advice during the 4th wall event-- He waves the warning off.]

Eh, I'm not worried--I've dealt with angry dogs and wolves before, so it's nothing I can't handle. [Even if it is potentially a really huge wolf that could tear us limb from limb...]

[immamartillo]

[Gosh darn it! Getting the reaction he feared, Firo glares at Crow.]

Did you miss the part where I said it's a huge wolf?

[tomodachi]

Well you missed the part where I said I can't get hurt... [so there!!]

'Sides, it doesn't matter how big it is, it's not like I'm gonna let it catch me if it tried to attack me or something.

[immamartillo]

Not that again...

Look, just 'cause you don't want it to catch you doesn't mean that'll stop it. It's probably crazy fast, too.

[tomodachi]

Then that'd make the chase all the more exciting, wouldn't it?

[Crow, no]

[immamartillo]

[The statement is so horrifying that for a moment Firo can only stare.]

It's not gonna be exciting for long if you get killed!

[tomodachi]

[He rolls his eyes a little at that.] Relax, I won't get killed--I have way better things to be doing than bothering some wolf in the woods.

[Come on Firo do we really look like we're that stupid. Don't answer that.]

[immamartillo]

[He grits his teeth, fighting the urge to snap back.]

So you'll stay away? Good.

[tomodachi]

[Crow smirks at that slightly (if you keep telling him to stay away, he's only going to want to go even more) before he turns away to walk along the edge of the roof.]

I still think you're worryin' way too much over whatever it is that I do. I actually do try not to get myself killed, you know.

[well okay no not really, but he actually would run at an actual life-threatening-to-us danger if he absolutely had to...]

I'm not worryin'! I'm just givin' you advice!

[Since Firo apparently makes great life decisions and is in a position to give advice.

He scowls as Crow walks, in his opinion, too close to the edge of the roof. In order to "prove" that he's not worried, however, he keeps his mouth shut about that.]

From what you say, it sure as hell doesn't sound like you try to keep yourself safe.

[tomodachi]

[He's getting a little frustrated again.] Look, I don't do things that aren't worth doing and I don't fight people like everyone else likes to do here, what more do you wa--whoa!

His foot suddenly slips when he's turned to look at Firo, and suddenly he disappears over the edge of the roof. There's a "thump" sound of something hitting the ground--by the time Firo is able to come and look without falling off the roof himself, though, it looks like Crow will have sat back up again and is dusting snow off of his arms, swearing a little under his breath.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo's mouth is open to fire back at Crow when he falls from the roof.]

Holy-!

[He peeks over the edge and considers jumping off after Crow before dismissing that as a ridiculous idea. He searches frantically for something to break his fall, but eventually retraces their route to the ground. This time, he does it with much less caution. Crow could be hurt and it'll be all his fault...]

A-are you-?

[He slows when he sees Crow dusting himself off. For such a fall, the kid doesn't seem to be in bad shape.]
