Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

They're one of those guys who you wanna warn the rest not to discuss beating up thugs around, y'know?

I can't say I've met any in the last few years either. I guess it comes with the job; unless we're helping the poor tourists from getting mugged by thugs, we won't really associate with them will we?

[He doesn't even know about Layton's personal love of tea, he's just going off stereotypes.]

It was a protest against unfair tax laws, actually. Anyway, if you really wanna know I can tell you in length sometime.

Hahaha! [It's a good natured laugh that he accompanies with a pat to Firo's shoulder.] Don't let the professor know that you declined a history lesson.

[Firo has a feeling he narrowly escaped a bad headache, but he laughs with Maiza anyway.]

Come on, you know I can't handle stuff like that. Is skippin' out on history some sorta capital offense in professorland?

Well, he is a professor of history. It's sorta like someone brushing you off saying your job for the Martillos isn't any of their interest.

He frowns, realizing that Maiza has a point.]

...Yeah, I guess. But different strokes for different folks, right? He can have his history and all that, and I'll stick to my job. It's more interesting. ...To me.

[He feels the last sentence isn't strictly necessary, but Maiza would probably scold him if he left it out.]

... We could invite him out or a drink one day though. 'S not like the man goes to sleep before sundown or anything, and Czes and Luke can invite themselves if they wanna.

[He laughs and nods.]

[When isn't Firo up for a drink with Maiza?]

I'd like that. I need to get to know him sometime, don't I? We'll just keep the conversation off work and on stuff like, um. ...We'll think of something.
