What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

She nods a little and lets out a sad breath.

I had hoped so. Perhaps next time I can offer more in the way of individual cultures.

[He watches as she kneels down to look more closely at the map, tilting his head a little as she points out the white mass in the center.]

That is Agkelos. Originally it occupied the center of the Circle Sea and worked as a mediator between the other three kingdoms. The Agkelon race was designed to uphold peace to prevent outbreaks of war. However this plan failed and I took them to the skies to nurture on my own.

[Eley was rather happy to see Aang as well. Something about their time together when influenced by Kipinn had invigorated him. Eley had to wonder if the Luceti spirit was trying to show him what 'fun' really meant...

He didn't expect that much attention to his model either so he's naturally pleased to see people showing an interest.]

Yes... at least it is a rough interpretation from the sky. These are the four kingdoms of Aether, the world I am responsible for.

[Eley is a little surprised to hear an unfamiliar voice this time and turns to see who is speaking, standing as he leaves the shells be for now.]

Ah, hello. Is there a problem?

[He had just set up something out of the blue after all. Perhaps there was some kind of process he was supposed to go through before doing so.]

[winds_voice]

[Eley looked up as a vaguely familiar voice called out. Yes, he remembered this man... something to do with vampires, something he was still rather curious about.]

Ah, Derek yes? Thank you. I have been... well.

[Mostly anyway, though there might be a hint of uncertainty in those words. Past experiences did still haunt him from time to time.]

And yourself?

I am. They used to be rather popular where I'm from. Though less so nowadays.

[ Josh himself took up playing for a few decades before moving on to a different instrument. ]

Are you from Japan?

Hm? No, not at all. I wanted to thank you for coming. [And while they've both been in the village long enough to at least see one another in passing from time to time, in some fashion-] I don't believe we've been introduced before.

( It's seeing the Union Jack flag that draws her over to this booth, wanting to see something familiar in this place. It's the promise of the prize that keeps her there.

Despite not being much of a puzzle solver, she sees no harm in trying this out. All for fun after all )

In theory! But you find a baby floating down the river, I imagine there's a multiple choice.

Right, it does look like lots of other worlds have dumplings. But you can have lots of fun trying something new!

Right. [He says with a slight shrinking of his smile.] I didn't exactly come to them the old-fashioned way.

Did your adoptive parents have powers like you too?

You are one of the... organisers then? It is an interesting event. I have enjoyed seeing things from other worlds... worlds I did not know existed. I hope that I will be able to offer more should it be arranged again.

[She's right though, they haven't really spoken to each other before. Now seemed as good a time as any he supposed.]

I am Eleytheria. Though some have taken to calling me 'Eley' if that is too difficult for you.

Yes, I have. [ Simply, quietly. Again with this woman ]

His people. He just says this simply, in a grave and deep voice. Not really living his head.

You did? [Now she's wondering what exactly he meant by nurturing, the way he described the role of Agkelos sounded similar to the role her own home took, though they weren't as worried about preventing the outbreaks of war as they pretended to be on the surface. She had learned that the hard way.]

Your words imply that you almost see them as your children, do you realize that?

[Pascal. He grinds his teeth together for a short period before exhales and-] This is all I need, woman.

[ Have a giant metal dragon taking in the sights, carefully, as he tries to maneuver his way around the booths. He'll mostly be sticking to outside the center of the booths in general and more towards the outlying forested areas which surround the plaza where everything is setup. He'll be poking around with an ever present clicking and whirling noise following him as he gears and vents click and clatter shut with him. ]

...I've been curious about you since the first time we met. You are obviously not human, so I was wondering what you are.

[A rather tall woman with hair to her waist approaches, a warm smile playing across her lips as she comes right up to the table. It's quite clear who this is, though she's grown a good bit older, filling out into a beautiful woman in her mid thirties. Or perhaps her twenties, it's gotten somewhat difficult for even Rei to tell at first glance.]

Helios! So good to see you. I had wondered if my old teacher was still here, and it seems I was right. This is a booth for your home country, isn't it?

[Totoro can't help it. He's drawn to Appa, suddenly appearing out of thin air and just...looking right at the enormous sky bison. Why, it's even bigger than he is! And he can feel a sense of...something...coming from it, like that boy he met before. Magic maybe?]

We are! Well, it started out...Bolin and I were the only ones who could remember what home was like, so we were just making it to show everyone, and then Korra and Asami got here...

So they helped out, too! I wish I could show grandpa and everyone the city and the island for real, but this is pretty good, too, right?

No, not even a bit! We have flaming fire flakes here, too, so we have water an' stuff on hand for after people try those.

[ ...They often need it. And Ikki's right: she only ducks off to another section of the sprawling Avatarian corner of booths, and comes back with a glass of water - and a bag of fire flakes. ]
