What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

[This was going a lot better than he thought. Sometimes he felt some creeping guilt - remembering Amanda - but Suki was so nice and things were going so well... it wasn't hard to remember the advice he'd gotten. She'd want him to have a good time, and he's having a good time with Suki.

He grins bashfully and runs a hand through his hair before taking hers.]

Yes, let's! M'lady.

[She felt the guilt too. Guilty for moving on. Guilty for using Kurt. But at the same time this felt nice. So even though there was a flash of sadness in her expression, a smile still remained.]

Um... alright. Uh, M'lord?

[He raises an eyebrow with a grin.]

Lord Wagner approves. Now... where should we begin?

[Do not approve.]

I think I'm sticking with Kurt. But maybe we should find a spot first. And, um, maybe away from the crowd?

...Right, probably a good idea. [He says with a dutiful nod. But he's also nervous. What if she doesn't like being seen with him? How much worse would it be with his true form?]

Luckily, you have a magical spot-teleporter at your disposal. [He holds out his arm to her while lugging his basket in his free hand.]

Good. Gives us a chance to get to know each other without... [Eyeing the fair.] Distractions.

[It's hard to be uncertain about her when she's smiling like that - and linking arms with him like that.]

Alright then. Three... two... one... go!

[Bamf! They're heading off to a clearing in the nearest patch of woods. Not too far from the fair. Some of the hustle and bustle could still be heard from the distance, but otherwise the clearing itself was humble and quiet.]

[Oh hey! She did MUCH better that time.]

Perfect. Now I just hope you like the food I brought. Know that our whole relationship depends on your appreciation of Kyoshi Island cuisine.

[He gives a sly grin.]

In that case, I just hope that finding it to be my new favorite food doesn't double as a marriage proposal.

No, but it'll probably earn you another date.

[A grin as she began to set down the food she got.] Hopefully I grabbed enough.

[And he sets out his own... burgers and fries and such.]

Don't worry. I'm not sure if there can ever be enough for my stomach. But man, looks great!

[And a lot like Japanese food.]

[Taking a seat now, hoping he'd sit beside her.]

So, transporter guy. Tell me about yourself.

[He's very quickly plopping beside her, in fact.]

So now I'm transporter guy, huh? Where do I start?

Well, you do transport from place to place. How about... poofing guy?

[Where to start? That was a good question.] Hmm... How about your parents? What are they like?

If the shoe fits...

My parents, huh. [It's almost a loaded question. When he remembers Mystique and all the complicated emotions there, and her body shattering into stone fragments... but he focuses on the real point.] What can I say? They're great. Simple, honest folk who turned me in, and you have them to thank for many of my better points. [He gives a shrug as he grabs his first food.] Except for the charm - that's all natural!

[And she'll grab a burger.] Took you in? Isn't that what parents normally do?

In theory! But you find a baby floating down the river, I imagine there's a multiple choice.

Wait. They found you on a river?!

[wildbluevagner]

Right. [He says with a slight shrinking of his smile.] I didn't exactly come to them the old-fashioned way.

That's... amazing. And your parents. [She just smiles.] I... wow.

Did your adoptive parents have powers like you too?

[wildbluevagner]

Oh, of course! [He puts on a teasing grin.] My foster mother, she has the most amazing ability... to make a killer sauerkraut!

[ex_tessen852]

What's sauerkraut? [She is really thinking it's a power of some kind.]

This! [He says as he cheerily nudges a small bowl of it towards her.]

[Eyeing with confusing.]

Um... alright. I just... eat it?
