Where: Out on the beach, centered around the teleporter/tunnel exit area. But it feels like July out there! Ain't that just the shit?

Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[He felt rather peaceful, relaxing on the beach barefoot and jacket-less, the sleeves of his dark blue shirt rolled up to his elbows and his hair slightly askew in the warm, salty breeze. It was unseasonably warm, Fujiko was back...what else was there to be happy for?

The weeks had been confusing, as it is wont to be during a Shift, but Lupin was grateful that he was unaffected. That meant he could talk business and catch up with some close friends.

Though intent on just relaxing as he is, that hasn't stopped him from curiously eyeing the strange fruit in the trees above. His rational mind tells him 'no,' but that's not to say he won't cave with the right kind of push.

[Fujiko's already eaten some, because in the story of Adam and Eve, she's even worse, she's Lillith. She runs up to him with a giddy laugh, hanging on his arm.]

You look good like this. [Reaches out and grabs a fruit for him, teasingly passing it under his nose.] You should try some~ It's good!

And you look good all the time. [There's that roguish smile again. How does she always manage to be adorable and hot and deadly at the same time?

An arm snakes around her waist, drawing her close.] You sure, Fujiko? We both know the Malnosso's tricks by now.

It's fine~! [Nuzzles gently, giving him an eskimo kiss rubbing their noses together.] You know I'm more paranoid than anyone. [Whoa honesty there.] And look? Don't I look great? [Twirls about show off her pink Valentine's Dress. Sure the day was over, but Lupin had been sick, and she had still been getting back from her kidnapping. This was play time.]

[he was only sick that day because she tried to poison him--but that was their usual game, one that they'd played many, many times before. Her sudden affection made him want to hold her close, nuzzle his face in her hair, and never let go.

Instead, he smiles as she spins like a girl, showing off the dress.] You look beautiful.

All right; I'll trust you. [He took a bite of the fragrant fruit himself, and rather liked the strangely sweet yet sour flavor. It was like some kind of tropical citrus, but different from anything he'd eaten before.]

[Her eyes widen a little, as if he just said he trusted her beyond the fruit. Then again, knowing Lupin, he probably did. At another time she might have gotten tripped over a rampant bout of paranoia and a desire to run away. Or something similar. In any case, at the moment she was more focused on the man in front of her.]

Like it~? [There's a purr to her tone, and a warm glow to the brown eyes as she slips closer, up on tiptoes to cast her warm breath over his ears.] You know, you never gave me a proper welcome home. [Though he'd certainly tried.]

[Both arms are on her now, fingers tangling in her wavy hair and dark brown eyes peering deeply into hers. Her warm breath sent tingles up and down his spine...]

You're right. I didn't. [He fixes it then and there, his lips meeting hers for their first actual kiss in weeks.]

[Tingles from the spine down and laces her arms around his neck. She lets out a quiet pleased mewl and when she finally pulls back, mumbles in his ear.]

I really missed you, you know?

[He hums at the sudden words, pleased himself. He doesn't want there to be distance, not then, not on the beach with the wind and the infinite ocean.]

...I know.

I missed you too.

[doubleppk]

[Shoves him towards the sand.]

You know? What kind of a response is that?

[Huffs.] The world doesn't revolve around you, you know! [Stomps her foot angrily for emphasis but then grins up at him again.] Jeez... how long has it been since we were at the beach of all things? [Longer for her, she knows, given how long she's been in Luceti. It doesn't help that all of them experience some wildly different time periods. But then, wasn't that just like them? Never able to sync up.] You once promised me a sand castle~ [She couldn't remember if he did, or didn't. Maybe she was making it up. Either way she wanted one.]

But--but!!

[He was just trying to be cool! Her tirade falls on his ears with the force of a stormy wind, and he can't help but stare at her for a minute as he tries to process this.

--Then, sweetness again. So strange, so strange...]

I don't remember promising you a sand castle, but we can build one right now. It's been a while since we hung out on the beach anyway, so let's enjoy it while we can.

Together, huh? [Taps a finger to her chin.] Well... I guess. It's not really like I'm going to be able to get much of a tan now anyway. [Though that had obviously been her original intention.]

Okay! What kind should it be?

You're choice, babe. You tell me! [Have a playful smile and wink as he meanders to the water's edge. Better sand there to build with.]

Mild or sweet?

[Sup Lupin. You've been doing a really good job of remaining a gentleman with Grune. Let's test your resolve a little more.

Grune is just wandering idly by with one of those star-shaped fruits in hand when she spots Lupin chilling nearby. And when you're Grune, the only thing to do when you see a friend is immediately go over and hang out.]

[He looks at her, then his clothes, then back to her.]

Swimming? In this? [He just thought chilling was a good enough idea...]

[She looks him over curiously. She hadn't actually noticed what he was wearing before now, whoops.]

Oh, can't you find a swimsuit?

[He still adores Grune, even if she does forget things.]

I have one in my apartment, I just didn't think to bring it along when I came!

That's all right. There are lots you can borrow. I didn't bring mine either.

[There is no easy way to explain to her that he's not really comfortable swimming at the moment, not without her attempting to use her magic or Nala--at least, so he thinks. Though magic healing from lingering injuries from his match in Tony's Fight Club is an option, the idea of it makes him very uncomfortable still.]


Do you want to build a sand castle or look for sea shells, Grune-chan?
