Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[After chilling out with Minato for a while, Keiichi finally finds his way to his own room. He leaves the door open, just in case someone wants to drop by and talk with him or something.

They will probably find him sitting on a desk... With several metal pieces spread in front of him, he's checking each of them, cleaning and making sure they are in optimal state before he puts them together. Those familiar with weapons will recognize a rifle as the object he's working with, but even if one doesn't know about them it'll be clear that it's one when he finishes putting it back together. There's also a thigh holster laying on the desk, a gun peeking out of it.

After thinking about it carefully, Keiichi decided to make an exception to his personal decision of never getting his hands on one of those weapons. The knives are his preference but now that he's here he can't help but worry that they won't be enough. With the rifle he will be able to take care of the long range and maybe support Minato in a better way than with just the knives. The gun remains as an auxiliary weapon in case the rifle gives him problems in the middle of the battle when there's no time to bother trying to fix it. Those weapons won't come with him when he returns to Luceti anyway so it should be fine like this.

Still, a real weapon isn't exactly the same as a model one so he's both making sure that the weapons are in perfect shape and how different they are from the model ones he once owned. He's busy but he won't mind any interruption, and it's possible that those that know him may have questions as to why he has those weapons... Or since when he can use them.]

[Ami comes before long. It's a good way to keep herself focused and her head clear. She stands outside the room, and knocks on the doorframe.]

May I come in?

[Keiichi looks at her, with a small worried smile.]

Sure, please com in, Ami-chan. Are you okay?

[She nods; of course she's alright. No matter what comes, she will always maintain that.]

This isn't the first time I've fought, or even the first I've been drafted here in Luceti.

You don't need to be upset. This may not be my world, but I want to fight with the people I've met here. I want us to live and go back home some day. So I don't mind fighting for that.

[Except that he doesn't want to return home unless he can be sure that no one else will ever be brought here against their will. He doesn't have to say that though.]

I'll try my best to help defend those who can't fight at all. And hope that the ones fighting the rest of the enemy will win.

[Ami is not that selfless. She wants to be reunited with Mama, and with Usagi and the others, and even her acquaintances from America. She wants to go home. She should be thinking about the others here, and while she's here she definitely wants to help them, but she wants to go home.]

That's right. And, since I can also fight, I can protect the ones who can't, who do other things to support the combatants.

[Keiichi isn't completely selfless, if he was told that no one from his world, from Hinamizawa, would be brought, he would probably leave. But then again, it's not just about Hinamizawa anymore, he wants to believe that Minato and Haruhi are from his same world, his same Earth, just from the future of it, so he would want to be here for them too, even if they didn't know him. But he still would consider leaving if at least Hinamizawa was safe, right now he doesn't even consider it.]

You can also help the wounded, though I think there are others with medical training as well so it's not as if you'll have to be taking care of the wounded constantly. You really have it all, don't you?

[Keiichi looks up from the rifle parts at the knocking, smiling at the sight of Adell.]

[He supposes, he really doubts there's anyone here who's happy about being forced to fight like this. At least most people surely won't be happy.]

I imagine, weren't you drafted as well not long ago though?

Yup, the previous one. That draft was in an underwater base, complete with a city, of all things. Can't say I liked the confined quarters, we had to be really careful not to cause too much collateral damage to the base itself. Looks like we'll be fighting on open fields this time.

...Speaking of, is there anything you might want to know about them? I've fought 'em before, so if you need to know anything, I'll tell you what I can.

They really don't care about giving people some rest, huh? Or you're just that good and they want you out there.

[He chuckles a bit before thinking about Adell's next comment.]

Well, I suppose that anything would be good. Oh, do they wear armors?

Light armor, mostly. Some of the Elites will wear heavier stuff, but it's not particularly bulletproof, if I had to guess. [He saw you working on that rifle, after all.] If you have to shoot them, odds are you'll be able to hit them and do some damage.

Elites have some minor Shifting powers themselves, sort of like magic. If you see one, it's probably better to retreat. They're strong, and they would very likely beat you in a one-on-one unless you get a lucky shot. Don't mess with the Elites unless you have no choice. I can't stress that enough.

Any particular point where the armor doesn't cover or something? Do they wear helmets?

[After all even if the armors aren't bullet-proof it would always be better to aim to the weak points of the armor.]

I'm not going to go after the enemy, honestly. I'll stay with those who can't fight and protect them. I can help with the long range and switch to mid-close range if I have to.

[So, it's been about an hour and a half since their last talk and there's maybe another hour left before they leave for the battlefield. Minato woke up from his catnap and decided to go hang out with Keiichi for the remaining time. He finds the door with his name, knocking on the frame once before stepping inside.

...to find Keiichi cleaning a rifle.]

[He looks up from the cleaning to see Minato there. It hasn't been that long since he was at Minato's room talking so Keiichi can't help to be a bit surprised.]

Minato? Is there something wrong?

[he shakes his head. Or well... that gun is something wrong, but he'll ask in a bit.]

I thought I'd stay here until it's time.

[breaks_destiny]

Really? Awesome! Then we can go together.

[Smile! Honestly he had considered going to get you before it was time to leave to try to ensure that, but this cuts his job short. His attention returns to the rifle.]

After leaving you I hanged around a bit and thought another bit, maybe going just with the push-knives isn't really good so I requested for some support weapons. This way I can do long-range and switch to mid-close range if it's needed.

[Well it's honestly a good strategy, and much better than expecting Keiichi to try and fight those things with only knives. The way he has it all pulled apart, though...

He walks over to take a seat on the bed.]

You know how to shoot?

[Keiichi continues working on the rifle, cleaning the pieces carefully and clearly knowing what he's doing. He makes sure that there are no imperfections, nothing chipped or even a little bump in the metal that could lead to a quick malfunction. He remains silent and it ends seeming as if he hasn't heard the question. Until he replies.]

It would be stupid to request for those things if I didn't know how to. Only an idiot would think that shooting a rifle or a gun is easy... Most wouldn't even know how to pull off the safety or would get wounds in their hands when firing because they don't know how to really hold one.

I was just surprised.

[He knows that, and he knows Keiichi isn't an idiot. That's what makes him more curious... As is Keiichi's tone.]

[Keiichi just makes a noise in the back of his throat and continues with his work until the rifle is completed again. He makes sure that it's leveled with a mock aim to the wall and checks the balance of the weapon before setting it aside and reaching for the gun which he starts to pull apart as well.]

How much is left before we have to leave again?
