Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

It's all right. It's a very fire resistant sort of chicken.

Here. [Five missisipi. Giles just gently removes the bomb from Grune's hand and sets it down. It zooms merrily along the track, misses the chicken by a mile, and hits the target.

Up next is the blade trap. Another bombchu is passed over.]

Oh, is it?

[Grune, let go of the bomb, please.]

Yes, it is. [Giles will just. Try and guide Grune's hands so that she sets the bomb down. Four Mississippi...] It's all right.

[lostinmyway]

Hmm.... All right.

[And amazingly enough, she lets go of the Bombchu on her own. ...It misses even the obstacles by a mile, but at least she didn't let it blow up in her face?]

Very well done, Grune. [He'd privately wondered whether or not she would let go of the bomb.

He takes up the next bomb and sets it down. It misses the chicken but, as is fast becoming typical, clips the blade trap and explodes without reaching the target.]

Oh, that was very good. [Giles had meant to hit that trap, hadn't he?

Grune picks up another Bombchu and awaits an alarmingly long time before setting it down. It hits the blade trap dead center.]

[consultmybooks]

[Yep. Totally intentional.]

And so was that. [What? He'll encourage any kind of progress he can. Especially if it minimizes their chances of being blown up.] This time, try avoiding both traps. You want to hit the back wall.

[...just as Giles now does.

And here is his old nemesis, the Giant Chicken.]

Oh, my. [She watches the giant chicken waddle back and forth for a few moments.] Is this chicken fire-resistant, too?

[consultmybooks]

This is the most fire resistant chicken I have ever seen, Grune.

[lostinmyway]

All right.

[She watches it for a little longer, then picks up a Bombchu.

Waits….

And lets go.

She actually manages to miss the chicken, but the depression it paces in sends the Bombchu careening off at a strange angle, and it climbs most of the way up the wall before it explodes.]

Hmmm.

[consultmybooks]

[Okay, that's...legitimately impressive. Giles claps a few times. After he's let out his breath in the expectation of fire.]

Very good, Grune. Even I couldn't get that far my first go.

[Five bombchu to go. Giles picks one up, sets it down, and it just misses the chicken by being clipped by the blade trap.]

[lostinmyway]

[Grune beams at his applause.] Oh, thank you! [And, after his shot:] You almost got it!

[She picks up another Bombchu, once again hangs onto it for far too long, and lets go.

…Well, now she knows for certain the first chicken is fire resistant.]

[And isn't that the most important thing?

Giles' next Bombchu lends credence to the theory that the second chicken is also fire resistant.

Two to go.]

[lostinmyway]

[And Grune'S next Bombchu...somehow manages to end up on the ceiling.

It's all up to you, Giles!]

[consultmybooks]

[...Giles is fairly certain that you just broke some important law of physics, Grune. Damned if he knows which one.

Right. Moment of truth. Final countdown. All or nothing.

Giles sets the Bombchu down.

...he's fairly certain that it didn't actually hit the target straight enough to count as a victory. But the droid host of the booth somehow seems to have taken pity on them, and indicates that they can pick something from the lower rack of plushies.]

...better than nothing, I suppose.

[lostinmyway]

[Oh, it's very possible to get Bombchus on the ceiling without breaking the laws of physics. Especially if you're not very good with them, sigh.]

Oh, did we win?

[consultmybooks]

Yes, we did. We can take anything off of that row. [He indicates it.] Which would you like?

[lostinmyway]

Don't you want to pick?

[After all, he did work very hard.]

[consultmybooks]

[And so did she.

Eventually, Giles settles on a squirrel in a top hat. It has a very fluffy tail.] What about this?

[lostinmyway]

[She smiles.] Oh, he's very cute. His tail must be nice and soft.

[consultmybooks]

Feel for yourself. [He nods to the droid that, yes, they're going with this, before passing the squirrel to Grune.]

[lostinmyway]

[Her smile grows.] He's very cuddly, too. Here. You can feel him, too.

[She offers the toy for Giles to take.]

[consultmybooks]

Thank you, Grune. [Giles takes the toy and holds it tightly in one hand, as he leads Grune by the hand away from the booth so the next and hopefully less hopeless customers can go next. He examines their prize curiously as they go.]

...it is very nice.

I just wonder what we'll do with all of these toys we keep winning.

Maybe we can give them to people who haven't been able to win very many on their own.

[She's sure that would make them very happy.]

If we can find someone like that. Most of the others I've seen so far have put my abilities at this game to shame.
