DRAFT LOG #2: The Battle Game!

What: Fighting bad guys!
When: Today (after 12PM) to the 19th, in the evening
Where: The Mining Facility
Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

[Nami's on scouting duty for this draft and trying to avoid fights as much as possible. That doesn't mean she won't happily plow her way into one if she comes across one where draftees need assistance, and that certainly doesn't mean the fights won't find her-- the waver isn't particularly quiet, and she doesn't particularly care, sacrificing stealth for speed.

In most cases. If there is a need for stealth she'll either walk the damn waver or bend sound away from her with extensive use of Kipinn's magic.

On the first day, she's focused on scouting out the place and listening for reports of cave-ins from base so that she can indulge in search and rescue.

From the second day onward, she's switched completely to search and rescue, because Sanji and Vivi never came back to base. She trusts Sanji to look after the two of them, and Vivi's no idiot either, but that doesn't stop Nami searching for them. Well past the time when she should really be returning to base. As the days go past, she looks more and more worried, more tired, and is far more prone to be reckless. Damn it, you two.

On the third night, she'll be back in base proper because Sayo got badly hurt, so she'll be in the medical area keeping her company and helping with various injuries. Someone please convince her to get some proper sleep. ._.

On the fourth day her tired carelessness in using filial magic is going to lead her straight into an ambush of shift hunters. IT'S OKAY, SHE'S GOT THIS. REALLY. Though a little help might be kinda nice. >>

On the fifth day, she's still around in the early part of it-- but once Sanji and Vivi are found, she's back in camp with the both of them and not leaving for anything. And probably falling asleep...right...there. 8|

First Day

[Getting confirmation of where there's shifting rock from base is really handy, and Nami comes to a stop on the other side of said cave-in, resting her waver up against the wall before she reaches out to touch the rock gently. ...pretty solid, really.

Third day!

[This was a very stressful few days. He's pretty positive you think the same, too. If he knew you were here. Instead there's a garbled 'dammit' and a hushed hiss behind this here curtain. Kotetsu's got his under-suit half-peeled and he's trying to covertly reach a shallow but dirty cut on the middle of a shoulder blade.

He's got a few of them from an explosion that caught him off guard, but they're really not much, considering how long he's been out on the field. In fact, it's amazing he hasn't gotten himself into more doom and gloom. It's his job, after all. :|]

--the curtain gets jerked aside with force, though at least this time she doesn't get as far as calling him Sanji. Just a deep breath, sucked in--]

Day...Four

[Alexei was out in the caves in search of any stragglers on the fourth day. People were getting tired, and while the mission at hand was important, it was best to remind others not to overdo it.

He was making his way to what he believed was one of the mining areas when he heard a commotion just up ahead. He quickened his pace to see if whomever was up there needed assistance.]

[Hey, at least she's not sick this time. And she didn't crash the waver, either! \o/ Nami's nursing a couple savage bites on one leg, though, crouching over her downed waver, but she doesn't seem particularly worried all the same. Just pissed, and snapping her climatact down into pieces as she kicks one of the Hunters away from her.

Stupid animals. >E Just give her a second, and she'll take care of the lot of you. A heavy gust of wind should just clear this entire tunnel.

[Complications? Of course Alexei wasn't here to do just that. He's here to assist people! He doesn't realize what Nami was planning to do and only spots her trying to fend off the Hunters.

Naturally, he'll want to join the fray.]

Day 2

[How does Nami feel about that rescue part? It's not hard to get backed into a proverbial corner here underground, and a group of enemies has done just that to her favorite ninja.

It's pretty early in the game for her to feel trapped and helpless like this. That makes her angry. Nami may be looking for her friends, but will she stop and help Sheena out of a tight spot?]

By... pulling back and plowing her waver right into that group of Third Party. Take old-fashioned waterski to the face, jerks. Crunch.

Sheena's not sure if this is weird or awesome. ...Mostly awesome. Bit of both. She'll make short work of them now that they're distracted, almost laughing as the last one drops.]

Fourth day. Time for a heart attack |D

[Ace, running around, trying to find anyone he knew, or hell. Anyone who really needed help. These hunters were damn persistent, and he could tell that it would take a lot to make them quit. So, turning a corner, he stopped for a moment, looking at the sudden large group. He noticed in the middle of it all was a familiar red head of hair. He took one look and new she was in trouble.]

[Nami does hear him, but she doesn't have time to do more than a quick lift of her chin in Ace's direction as she moves, climatact sweeping out in one hand. There's the flare of light as lightning whips around and through the group, taking out those closest to her and blinding the rest momentarily, but she's still being swamped by Shift Hunters. A little help?]

Psh, not as bad as Marie.....at the moment.

Shit. [He runs over and jumps on a few of them, giving him a path to the middle to join Nami. His arms go up in flames and he extends them out.]

day 3 evening

[Nami won't be alone in trying to tend the injuries in the medical bay after the skirmish, and looking tired for her efforts. Even so, there's hopefully a small opportunity for a breather in between, as Raine passes by the redhead after being given an energy bar to eat by Fuuko.

The redhead gets an almost sharp glance-over]

[You look as bad as she feels, Raine. Nami gives her a smile, which turns a little sheepish at that glance-over, and wrings out the cloth she's soaking.]

Day five!

[Vash is actually at camp when Nami comes in looking for a place to nap. Vash doesn't seem to notice her at first.]

Oh man... what am I going to do? Maybe I can find one just like it at the item shop right when we get back. [His back is to Nami, as he sits on the ground, leaning over something. Apparently inspecting whatever it is closely.]

[Nami is still exhausted. And still worried. But she's not as tense as she was, because despite their condition there's a certain relief at having your nakama back safely in camp. In fact, now she's been chased away by certain medical types, the girl is downright restless.

You really are going to get her attention with a line like that, Vash. A shadow. Falling over you. 8Da]

What happened?

[OH CRAP HE KNOWS THAT VOICE! Vash jumps in panic before turning to face Nami with his hands behind his back.]

A-AH! Nami! Good to see you're safe!

Third night!

[The incident with Rogue the day before has made Tony painfully attentive and careful despite his weariness, so after saving Sayo, he doesn't deviate far from the area so he can keep an eye on her progress. Goddamn Third Party. He now feels even an iota of responsibility for her well-being, so even if he doesn't have medical know-how to really use as a scapegoat for why he's there, he's still going to check up on her.

And he runs into yet another unfamiliar girl, there. Though there is definitely something familiar about her features. Strange. Looks like...

Never mind. Not important.]
