Where: Out on the beach, centered around the teleporter/tunnel exit area. But it feels like July out there! Ain't that just the shit?

Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[ Helios will find himself at the beach at some point with Alice not too far behind. He'll manage to get there before his girlfriend though with the thought of perhaps setting the mood. A romantic evening on the beach sounds lovely after all. But he'll be roaming around the stands and the like, in long sleeves yes, as he looks at all the apparel. He isn't one to frequent beaches often mainly because the scars on his arms and his feelings towards those make it so hard to ever get into proper attire for such places. So, well, he looks decidedly out of place with his jeans and long sleeved shirt and he's staring quite intently at those fruit. An air spell a moment later to slice one neatly from a tree and he'll be holding a nearly ripened fruit in one hand. ]

Interesting. [ Though odd in its shape it looks quite tasty. ]

[Helios may be covered add usual, but Alice is taking full advantage of the sunny weather snag the Malnosso offerings. She's dressed in a bright blue bikini with only a little lacy shirt as a cover for her back. While she cared little about the scars there, she had enough respect for Ginia's privacy to keep that part covered.]

Isn't this beautiful? [She asked, hugging him from behind and giving his neck a fond nuzzle.]

[ Helios stiffens ever so slightly at Alice's hugging from behind him. Not entirely expecting it but he quickly changes his hunched posture into one more calm and relaxed. There's a warm smile on his features as he turns his head a little to regard her. His hands will slowly make their way down to hers as he keeps her there, next to him. ]

Yes. It certainly got even more so just now however.

[Alice is perfectly content to cuddle up against him. Beautiful beach, wonderfully warm day in the middle of a cold February, her perfect boyfriend keeping her from overheating, it's a wonderful combination. Not to mention all the delicious fruit around too!]

Think this will last? It's so nice.

[ Yes Helios is good for that. Overheating is neigh impossible when it comes to having a lower than average body temperature. Still he sighs swaying a little with her as he looks out back at the ocean and the setting sun. ]

I do hope so. It's so peaceful and serene. Almost picturesque, really.

[She likes the beach. It's nice and peaceful. She could spend hours staring out at the waves and never grow tired of it. That she's here with Helios makes it all the better.]

I like it a lot. Maybe... maybe we can spend more time out here?

I do as well. I think that's a good idea. It's one of the...nicer things the Malnosso have given us. [ And even as they stare out into the fabricated ocean Helios remember all the times he's gone out here with Giles to chart those stars or to simply enjoy the peaceful quiet the ocean brings. But he can share it with Alice, Alice who has probably never seen the ocean that much. He can at least make it enjoyable for her. ]

It should be enjoyed with company though. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, ah, well almost one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

I was here before, once. There was a beach party, Minako hosted it! We had barbecue, and I took lots of pictures so Ginia could see. I had a lot of fun.

[Her face nuzzles into his neck and shoulder, a few kisses dotting his skin.]

Let's stay out here tonight. They have caves to spend the night in! Some are really nice.

It sounds like it was a lot of fun. [ He shivers slightly with those kisses. ]

There's caves to stay in, really? [ He sounds ever so confused at this information. ] A-Are they safe, do you think?

[ One can never be sure with the Malnosso. ]

Yep! They're like little rooms. Some are them are pretty nice. [She leans in to whisper into his ear:] Private too.

[Though he only says the one word, Zelda recognizes the voice as the "teleportation man" (as she has come to think of him privately).]

[ Helios blinks and then turns at the voice. Hm. Familiar and they seem to know him...

Helios turns with fruit still in hand and he smiles. ] Ah yes! That's me. H-Hello! It was...Zelda wasn't it?

[She smiles happily at him remembering her name.]

It's good to meet you in person! And on such a nice day, too.

Yes! I'm glad to finally make your acquaintance in person as well. [ A smile. ]

No better day that today. Are you enjoying the beach?

I am. I had never seen a real beach before this, so it is a welcome sight.

[She smiles serenely. Nayru had an affinity for water, and so did Zelda... even if she wasn't that good at swimming yet.]

Never, really? [ He doesn't look too surprised. Everyone's world and opinions were different after all. ] How do you like it so far then? It's absolutely gorgeous watching the sunset on the beach. I-I recommend it.

[... Not that Robert has ingested much in the way of fruit right now.

After a solid week of quietly avoiding Helios, though, he's feeling a lot better - time has helped, as has the warmth of the beach and the chance to immerse himself in real experimentation. Even if he hasn't found out too much about the paopu - there's little to really discover, and it must be Shift-induced like last year's - it was still good for lifting his general mood.

So he offers Helios a smile as he spots the blonde man - he's not the only one with long sleeves on the beach.]

[ Helios blinks and then turns and smiles back at Robert. It's a genuinely happy smile that dotes his lips because for once in his life he is truly happy. It's a nice feeling and he'll miss it very much when its gone.

But for now? For now he's happy to spend some time with his friends on the beach. ] Robert! It's nice to see you out and about! H-How are you doing?

I haven't, no. Tide pools...they have an eclectic assortment of fauna don't they?

[ Or maybe he was remembering it wrong. It has been awhile since he's done anything remotely biologically oriented after all. ]

Ah, yes... certainly, they do... and what a lovely assortment it is...

... You should see the anemones, especially. So striking... [And it's especially apparent now that the temperature shifts are so drastic.]

... I believe the Malnosso... m-modified the environment on purpose, to attempt to appeal aesthetically...
