Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[... He had simply chalked it up to a gruff demeanor before, but now that he had regained his ability to sense emotions through the Force, he realized something.

Beast... really didn't like him much. Obi-Wan was hard-pressed to blame him, either. He tried to maintain an amiable demeanor.]

[He almost regrets having bothered the poor guy, but now he had committed to a friendly conversation, and by the Force, he would have one. But perhaps the Beast would appreciate it if he got to the point, for brevity's sake.]

"... Apologies for intruding. You simply looked as if you would appreciate some company."

Hm? [Looks up. He has been wanting some teachings on beach habits, but he wasn't quite expecting this man of all people to respond. Though... it doesn't make it any less true.]

[The hostility seemed to let up, to Obi-Wan's relief. Unfortunately, he had asked him about the one thing he was unqualified to answer- the typical customs of the various Earth iterations.]

"I'm afraid I'm not much of a beachgoer myself, but it seems the general atmosphere is of joviality. Playing with friends, enjoying physical activity..."

[A couple caught his eye as he glanced around. They certainly seemed to be enjoying their physical activity. Thank the Force they still had their clothing on, at least. Though that didn't necessarily seem like a stable situation. He quickly turned back to the Beast.]

"... They are here to relax, in short. To unwind. I believe that over-thinking the process rather defeats the purpose."

... Dammit, I don't know what you're referencing! >.>

[He's still a bit guarded, but he's willing to talk with the man if he can help.

He follows the gaze toward the couple - oh, now he wishes Pilouette were here - but now that he's talking again, he'll switch back to paying attention.]

Re... relax? [How can he overthink that?

Staring at the sand.] What... th-this is relaxing...? [The dirt between his toes is actually quite strange and a little bothersome.]

"It is a pleasant day. Warm. The atmosphere is liberating."

[He casts about for something slightly less hormonal, and sees one of the strange trees.]

"Here. These trees. They were not here before, but they're enjoying the fruits, you see? They see no need to contemplate the mysteries. They are simply allowing themselves to enjoy the sun."

[It occurs to Obi-Wan that enjoying the sun is probably very different when one is eight feet tall, four feet wide, and covered in thick, shaggy fur.]

[Well, Beast won't deny that it is warmer today and he appreciates not having to wear as many layers.

But... that fruit... why does he get a strange feeling about that fruit? He's... kind of ignoring Obi-Wan's speech now and is just staring at that mysterious fruit.]

It's a pretty good movie.

"... You look hungry. Perhaps you should try some."

[He grins.]

[He looks over at him. Why is he grinning? Has he tried this fruit before?

Well, he is a little hungry... hm... alright, fine, he'll try some, monsieur.

Going over to the tree... should he shake or climb? Would any fall off?]

[In point of fact, he had not, but somehow he suspected that Beast would enjoy some. He seemed to be having difficulty reaching the fruit- most of the fruit within reach had been claimed, so the only remaining fruit was near the top.

He knew that Parkour would come in handy. He backed up a few paces, kicked off his sandals, then sprinted toward the tree, using his momentum to leap up the trunk, his feet finding purchase in the bark and redirecting his movement up, higher, to a low-hanging branch. He sprang from the branch, grasped two of the star-shaped fruits, and used his free arm to grasp the branch as he descended, slowing his descent and redirecting his momentum toward the trunk, which he kicked off of again before landing on the ground at a much less injurious speed.

And held one out for the Beast to try.]

[WHOA that's unexpected... oh. He got him some. Easily. Without even letting him do it.

He could have done it on his own, you know, and he's trying to show this in the look he's giving you, Obi-Wan. Show-off. He's not incapable.

And he'll just... snatch the fruit from him and chomp immediately on it... SEE THIS IS HIM BEING ANNOYED WITH YOU.

Munch munch.]

[And as soon as he sees Beast's reaction, he regrets it. He had meant to be helpful and to do so quickly, not to show off. Obi-Wan Kenobi did not show off.

He had a spectacular talent for rubbing Beast precisely the wrong way, it seemed.

Ah, well. He would have to be more careful in the future. Much more careful.

He took a bite.]

... And, what do you know it, now suddenly Beast feels much less irritated with this man. Actually... everything that has bothered him doesn't seem to be coming up at all. Is he really all that bad?

M... maybe he was being a little hard on him... surely he didn't do that to show off, he was probably just trying to be helpful... yes... yes, that must be it, he's much too polite to do anything but...

So as he's enjoying the taste of this fruit, he's giving Obi a soft smile, hoping to show he likes the choice he made anyway. Assuring enough?]

[When the Beast smiles at him, he feels even worse. He had done nothing but help Obi-Wan from the beginning, despite the obvious inconvenience it had caused him, and even after Obi-Wan had inadvertently come across as a showoff, he was still making a sincere effort to be friendly.

The world needed more people like this Beast.]

"I don't know that they're quite ripe yet, but they still have a pleasant taste."

[And he's completely oblivious to Obi-Wan's inner troubles and simply responds for once without much thought, nodding, smiling, and munching some more. Juicy~!]

[... He suddenly has a thought.]

"You know, my friend Luke and I are planning a marathon of movies that feature us as fictional characters. Quite a curiosity. You should attend!"

[And that thought. Abruptly stops all eating.

Because he doesn't understand half of the words Obi-Wan just said.]

[Oh, dear. Cultural differences. He forgets that the majority of residents here are from pre-hyperdrive civilizations, some even from pre-digital ones.]

"Erm. We intend to watch a series of films documenting our lives, in chronological order."
