EVERYBODY! EVERYBODY!

Who: Everybody! Everybody!
What: It's a beach! There's fruit! Love in the air! Classy private rooms in the mountains!
When: From sunrise to midnight! (AND IT'S TODAY! FEBRUARY 18th!)
Where: Out on the beach, centered around the teleporter/tunnel exit area. But it feels like July out there! Ain't that just the shit?
Summary: Summary? Why does this need a summary. I said everything up there. And then I'm gonna say even more after this. Why do we need this field? Seriously, anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Rating: KEEP IT CLEAN, KIDS. Take your dirty smut to an appointments post!

Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

((No, but seriously guys, look at the mod post, you know what to do. Everything you need is there. Mass log post, remember to tag your characters name here, and do your thing.))

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

Comforts are treasures in this place. I like not living by myself in a large, echoing house. Neither of us are the sort of men who would seek that out.
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk, confused, sarcastic (The punchline is...?)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
I've never truly lived alone- not in a house, nor an apartment, until here. And you saw how well that turned out. I had a difficult enough time on my own for two weeks, I cannot imagine what it would be like to live alone in a large house for longer than that.
all7seas: (refresh my broken mind)

[personal profile] all7seas 2012-02-19 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! I survived, didn't I? For a long time. Had my share of guests, I suppose. Blackbeard lived with me for a while; Leonard McCoy stayed with me when his heart got all broken-like. [Emony leaving. It had been hell.] Buffy an' Dawn, on her birthday. Katie took over my attic. I suppose there were enough pockets of not-aloneness. Nothing like bein' on a ship, though.

I've been missing that a lot, lately.
fleurdesel: right, tired, sad (So you understand?)

[Adele nods along with Jack's explanation up until that name. Then she locks up, blinks, and looks over at Jack. Captain Jack Sparrow and Leonard McCoy. Living in the same house. That...must have been madness. She shakes herself from it, pushing her thoughts aside in favor of thinking of ships, sailing, and freedom.]

I wonder if there is a way to expand the barrier enough to make a longer voyage worthwhile. From what I remember you don't sit well with the crew of the Britannia, and not that I fault you for it and your ship, the Joanna Joyce. She's not that large, is she?
all7seas: (smoulder)

[It was only a temporary thing in the end. McCoy's true home had always been House Seven. Jack was just a stopgap -- a shelter -- a refuge. Sanctuary. Cullen House had been that for many people.]

It's not that I don't "sit well" with their crew...

[God, how to explain his complex feelings about Hornblower?

Maybe he just.....shouldn't.]

And my Joanna is QUITE large enough, thank you. Crewed very easily by four sailors, though I can do it alone thanks to Kipinn's magic. She'd be perfectly sound to sail around the world, back home. Nah, sometimes personalities don't mesh well, you see. Me an' Hornblower don't get along, and I'm not about to call him "captain." Not ever. Surely that's understandable?

[You know -- grudges and long memories and jealousy and all.]

Say no more. A pirate and a British Naval officer? It would take extenuating circumstance or some sort of miracle to e'er have the twain meet, and mesh. [The details were smoothed over, alluded to, and not entirely relevant. The reason why Jack didn't care for Hornblower didn't matter so much as that he didn't care for him. Everything else is arbitrary.

Though one detail did capture her attention.]

Kipinn's magic? How does that make it easier to sail a ship with a one man crew?
all7seas: (I see seven towers)

I don't have to scurry about to catch the wind; he obliges by sending it in the direction I need it. I've got a mind to catch hold of the healing spirit next. Picture it: Captain Jack Sparrow, healer.

Has no ring to it whatsoever.
fleurdesel: center, smile, smirk, flirty, sarcastic (I doubt it)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
...I think you should leave the healing to the professionals Jack. [She chuckles and shakes her head, nibbling another slice of fruit off her knife.] Though...Captain Jack Sparrow; Master of the Wind has a better sound to it. Perhaps you could learn to speak to the water spirit, urge the currants where you will them to sail all the faster?
all7seas: (refresh my broken mind)

[personal profile] all7seas 2012-02-19 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Sona, you mean? I think I've NEARLY got her warmed up to me.

[Like most women who crossed his path, Sona was going through the sometimes-difficult Jack is insufferable period.]

I think she likes me.
fleurdesel: right, smile, smirk (that was funny)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
You're having better luck with them than I, in any case. [After her initial reaction to them? She wasn't terribly surprised they hadn't attempted contact again.] At least now I know I'm not suffering a psychotic break should I feel Nala again.
all7seas: (down to rock bottom)

[personal profile] all7seas 2012-02-19 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
An' Nala's meant to be the friendliest, in her way. Don't count out a little bribery, though. A little does go a long way. What would she like, the healing spirit?
fleurdesel: right, tired, sad (You are not seeing me smile)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Not inducing a mild panic attack, most likely. For me to continue my work as a surgeon? I'm not at all certain, Helios has been distracted this past week, we've yet to really begin our lessons.
all7seas: (persuasion)

[personal profile] all7seas 2012-02-19 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't need bloody Helios for that. You just need to sit and listen to her, darling.
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk, sarcastic (I'm sorry)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Sitting still and listening for something that is only a little there isn't something I do well on my own Jack. [She snorts.] You should have seen Ben's attempts at helping me meditate. It does not go well.
all7seas: (each left his mark on the other)

[personal profile] all7seas 2012-02-19 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
So first you need to learn to listen, and then you need to learn to listen to her.
fleurdesel: right, tired, sad (You are not seeing me smile)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
The first is proving difficult. But...I will learn in time. It's all we have here, as you've said.
all7seas: (cozy)

[personal profile] all7seas 2012-02-19 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmhmmm. I'm voting for a nap for now, if you'd like to join me.

[The breeze is so warm; the shade is lovely; the splash of the waves so hypnotic; the rum so...rummy. The whole effect is to make Jack sleepy, and it's even more better when a beautiful woman is cuddled up in your hammock.]
fleurdesel: left, sad, serious, angry (I know I was wrong)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-02-19 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I second the motion. [She smiles and settles better into the hammock, Jack's shoulder comfortable enough to rest her cheek on and start to doze. The fruit, the weather, the security in knowing you're with a friend? It was enough for her to relax and drift off along with the swaying of the hammock.]
