Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

I had one, for a short while. Something I helped my father and Remy put together when I was a teenager. They asked me to help because I had such small hands. [She lifts one up and wiggles her fingers, displaying the petite digits.]

[He laughs.] Yeah, I got dragged into it a few times for bein' more nimble than my brother. But las' one I built was my own.

I never rode on my own. My father was afraid for me, but I could ride with him or Remy. It goes without saying that Remy would always let me drive. [She grins.] It's a little like flying, isn't it?

Well, that's one superpower that I ain't ever had for myself, so I'm not too sure. But I t'ink it's as close to flyin' as I'm ever gonna get wit'out bein' in a jet.

I don't think I would, fly. If I had the ability. [She waves a hand over her shoulder at her wings.] I am glad these do not grant us flight. I'd be terrified.

[He glances back at his wings idly, then gives a shrug.] T'ink I'm wit' you there. Not the heights so much, but... that's way too much of a weak spot if you're gonna be up in the air.

Something to keep in mind, though, should the Third Party attempt anything from the air. They are able to use their wings for flight, are they not?

[At that, a bit of Gambit's emotional wall starts to come up. The draft was hardly the first time he's had to attack someone for self-defense. It's not even the first time he's killed anyone. But that doesn't mean he's proud of exploiting that very weakness every chance he got.]

...I'm a little too pragmatic and paranoid to worry about fighting honorably Remy. That was beaten out of me- [Literally.] - a few years ago. If it protects my patients, or non-combatants? I will do what I must.

[He shakes his head.]

That ain't it, doc. I'm not exactly known for fightin' fair, either. [Just ask Rogue about the time he almost blew off her hand.] But they're way stronger'n you might expect, even wit' a big glarin' weakness like that.

Why else do you think I asked you to teach me, or why I've gone to Jack to learn to use a sword? It will be a long while before I'm of any use in combat with either, but I will not be helpless again.

An' that's why I'm gonna be sure to teach you as much as I can. [He turns to glance back at her so that she can see that he really honestly means this.] Jus' be careful not to go underestimatin' 'em like I did, either. Especially the Elite soldiers.

[Because he went gallivanting off on his own and he knows he would've gotten himself killed if Rogue hadn't raged talked him into going along with her team. And Adele, he doubts you'd be as bullheaded as he is, but he wouldn't take it lightly if he found you trying to gung-ho the Third Party solo.]

My being involved in combat would be a worst case scenario, Rems. I'm a physician and surgeon first. I'd take up arms only if there were none left to be treated and all others are occupied or fallen.

[A pawn, after all, should know their place. Adele did well enough.]

I have only been in one life or death struggle Rems. It was enough for me to know full well what it is I can, and what I cannot, handle.

It ever comes down to it, I got your back. The wingnuts ain't gettin' through then.

[Although you may end up with a small mutant army surrounding you, since he's. Sort of an X-Man now. Kinda. Maybe.]

My knight in a well worn duster. [She smiles, entirely sincere and fond in this. She chuckles and reaches over to squeeze one of Remy's hands.]

[His methods are almost guaranteed to make you think at some point that you really can't depend on him, because he's bound to do something ass-backwards eventually, but his heart's in the right place. Maybe a little off. But he still gives a grin and a handsqueeze back.]
