Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[You know, it's sad. Noel's dense enough to not notice the weird feeling she's getting... or she does, but chooses to ignore it at first. Something that feels... off.

But that couldn't be. Because this is Nami, and Nami and her are... very close right now. Not close as in close friends, but physical proximity wise? Yeah.

But when she feels her fingers brush and play with her hair, Noel stops eating and stays perfectly still for those few agonizing moments. As she feels goosebumps, it's then that Noel knows that something is off, but... but at the same time, is it really that bad?

--Wait. No. Of course it is! Nami and her are friends! And she's dating Sanji! So... So she's--

Y-Yeah!? [She practically squeaks that out. HI WERE YOU TALKING?]

[Squeak all you like, the sound of that voice is still enough to do very interesting things to Nami's insides. Her fingers land gently on Noel's shoulder and squeeze.]

H-hey. [Said a lot less certainly.] It's hot out here. Wanna find somewhere a little more ...a little cooler?

[It never really mattered before, but somehow, right now, Noel's never actually really noticed how much Nami invades her personal bubble...

[She's so close. Feeling her breath tickle her ear causes Noel to almost shiver. She's getting so red, and feeling herself get goosebumps over this is... oh god, what is with her? What is with her right now? It's just Nami. Only Nami. Simply her best friend, you know? Met by chance, saved from impending doom...

...man, why can't she look that great with long hair? Noel almost wants to put her hair in it and-- wait wait WAIT OH GOD WHAT?]

[Insert terrible response to that here No, Nami will just shift her hand in Noel's grip to link fingers and head straight for one of those huts. Preferably the closest one. If she thinks this is weird or a bad idea, she's certainly not showing it. Psh. Nami's higher intellect is out to lunch today.]

Too many people around. [Speaking a little faster as she goes. And picking up the pace.] Everyone's so noisy and they all want to share fruit, and I'd rather just spend some time alone with you!

[She can understand that. She thinks. Well, it's something Noel can usually understand, but there's something about the heat of the moment or the way Nami's hand feels around her own when they're intertwined or something about the air surrounding her that gets her going.

And Noel sees nothing wrong with that.] M-Me, too. [...] I mean-- Yeah! Let's find somewhere quiet. For just the two of us.

[dihfsdkh a-and maybe Nami won't mind if, when Noel catches up with her pace, forgot the concept of personal space herself and is perfectly content with bumping shoulders and holding hands and just in general acting like they are having some sort of moment. Because they totally aren't... really, they're friends...]

In fact, Nami takes that pretty much as permission, when she yanks open the door to the first available hut and drags Noel inside, practically spinning her around on the spot to push her up against the door. (Look, she had to close it, okay. Efficiency!)

Actually, Nami knows very damn well what she wants to do next. But given she's yet to attempt that to (a) a woman and (b) her best friend who tends to be shy and flustered about things at the drop of a hat, she's sort of mentally keysmashing about how forward to be, sob. GIVE HER A SIGN, NOEL.]

Noel likes this. She wants this, and even sort of enjoys being held in this way by her. Only Nami could do this.
