Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[Make no mistake, the feelings are still there, floating around. Now a better sense of when, how, or whether to reveal them accompanies them. Dist, for example, would receive a 'never.' Don't worry, they'll be mostly gone by tomorrow.

The irony of such a pale man informing her about the dangers of sun exposure is not lost on Nephry. She looks at him, wearing an expression full of "I think I've disappointed you," and nods slowly.]

[H-He's not that pale! ...Okay, he is, but Dist has grown more or less used to the heat (that's what living next to a still active volcano will do to you) and has been keeping to the shade of the trees mainly. He's no idiot to health risks, especially when it involves himself - tenfold if it involves his closer friends.

Dist doesn't move just yet, though he does look at the sun, the beach, the people "enjoying" themselves. He had never bothered with beaches and sun, especially the latter. The former was just a horrible reminder of the Malkuth Imperial city and a royal pain Dist would rather not think of.]

Abnormally so, but you should still take care, Nephry. [...Fidget.] You looked upset earlier. Is everything all right?

[Too late, she remembers why Dist might be especially concerned about her if it gets too warm. It certainly softens the edges of her serious face. Though she enjoys beaches and sun - has done so even in the frozen world she calls home - she can understand his preference otherwise.

[Okay, that there makes Dist frown, his brows knitting together in anger. He does not, and will not, blame Nephry for anything that has transpired this past week - ever. He's well aware this is not her fault. If anything, Dist is enraged at the Malnosso for thinking it'd be wise or, heaven forbid, amusing to pair her together with someone like Van. He'd all too quickly wring each one of their necks, Van's included, if he could ever get the opportunity to do so. It'd be one of the best days in his life.]

Honestly, Nephry, I can't believe you think I'd blame you for this nonsense after being forced through similarly idiotic circumstances! You should know that nothing that transpires in these ridiculous Shifts are any fault of yours! [He frowns, putting a hand on his hip and offering a hand to help her up. He's starting to get hot with the sun on his back, and wants to find shade or drinkable water. Dehydration can easily set in if one is not careful.]

If anything I blame those imbeciles for pairing you with someone so...so unsavory.

[Sometimes you just need to let Saphir rant for a while. Wearing a shaky smile, Nephry accepts his hand and stands, brushing some sand off of her clothes.]

[Dist pulls Nephry up, steadying her in the shifty sand enough until she can get her balance on her own. He removes his glasses idly, wiping his face. Ugh, he's not yet used to the dramatic shift in heat. From one temperature to the other, it's a wonder someone didn't go into shock or something.]

There's no reason to be angry with you, Nephry, you had no control over the situation. [The others are a different story entirely.] I've stayed here long enough to understand as much.
