Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[He grits his teeth to keep from yelling; if Crow can move on, then Firo can too. He has to, he can't let the kid be the more mature one.

He sighs, keeping quiet for a few moments until he can trust himself not to sound angry.]

Yeah. It was nicer up here. Just not the place for handstands, okay?

...Was there anything else to see?

There are plenty of things to see, like...oh, over here!

[Without waiting for Firo, he's moved a couple of feet over to another spot on the roof that seems to have a good view of the people and stuff below. And hey, if slipping on ice is any consolation, there's some stuff right under this ledge here that could break your fall? XD]

[Firo follows him, taking note of the objects below that could break his fall. They provide some comfort, though he'd still prefer that nobody fall in the first place.]

Yeah... This is nice too.

[He laughs.]

Much better views than what me and my friends got back home when we were kids.

[...Yep, Mr. Nagging just admitted to doing this in the past. In his defense, he was rational enough to avoid the roofs when they were snowy.]

Oh? I thought this sort of thing was "too dangerous for kids to be doing"? Isn't that what you said?

[But hey it's okay, Crow already knew that you were a hypocrite since you're up here and all. XD]

Huh? W-well... That's 'cause it is...on roofs like this. Back home there are... The roofs are made so you can go on 'em. And besides, we weren't stupid enough to go up when they were icy!

[Just admit Crow's right, Firo.]

[tomodachi]

[Yeah really Firo, just admit we were right.]

And yet, here you are on an icy roof with us right now. [Hahaha...]

I... I told you somebody needed to keep an eye on you! And besides, I'm an adult. It's different.

[No it's not.]

[Yeah no Firo we don't buy that.]

No it's not. And I've done just fine on my own before without needing people keeping an eye on me or whatever it is I wanna do.

[Well, until we met Seto anyway.]

Yes it is.

[Ignore the slight whine in his voice, he's totally mature.]

Hey, if you act safer I won't need to keep an eye on you. Just 'cause you lasted this long doesn't guarantee you won't get hurt now.

But I can't get hurt, so there's no point in worrying about something like that.

[Or rather, we could theoretically get "hurt" if we fell off of here, but it's not like we'd feel it.]

What do you mean you can't? Anybody can get hurt.

[Even immortals; their wounds just go away more quickly.]

[tomodachi]

Not me. [He even does an arrogant little spin in place from where he's standing on the roof, as if trying to tempt karma into even trying to make him slide off the roof, but he manages to straighten and keep his balance at the moment.]

In fact, I've never cried even once in my entire life over anything!

Think that makes you special?

[Don't pretend like you've never cried, Firo...]

Doesn't matter if you cry over it or not, a broken arm's still broken.

[Technically, yes, it does make us "special", but he doesn't point that out.]

Not if you can't break it, 'cause I've never had one of those, either. [We've fallen off enough buildings to notice that the hard way.]

[Firo still doesn't get it. He shakes his head as he stares at the people below them.]

What? Just 'cause you've never broken a bone before doesn't mean yours can't break.

[tomodachi]

Yeah, it does mean that. [stubborn!!]

That's ridiculous. Everybody gets hurt if you hammer at 'em enough, that's just how it is. Why do you think you'd be different?

[Firo, you have no idea.]

[tomodachi]

[Hmph] I just know I'm different, okay?

[It's kind of a touchy subject, and it's starting to show as he's sounding a little frustrated, turning around as he folds his arms behind his head.] What does it matter to you, anyway? It's not like it changes anything--for me, having fun is way more important than needlessly worrying about things like that.

[immamartillo]

Fine. You're just like Claire, damn it.

[The difference is that Crow really is different from humans and Claire just acts like it.]

Why wouldn' it matter to me? You're Seto's friend, I have to make sure you don't hurt yourself.

[You're honorary family, pal, whether you like it or not.]

[tomodachi]

But I won't be hurt, and Seto... [A slight pause.] Well, he knows that too, but he's the type of guy who would still worry anyway, I guess.

[But do you actually care whether we were hurt or not, not just because Seto likes us?]

[immamartillo]

Fine.

[He's going to give up on convincing Crow that he can't be injured.]

And... Well, I guess you're right about Seto. But that just means you need to be extra careful so he worries less.

[Honestly, Firo is worried about Crow, and not just because he's friends with Seto. He just doesn't want to let Crow know that yet.]

[tomodachi]

[...Man, he hates when you're right.]

...Fine, whatever. [If only for Seto will Crow try to keep an eye on not throwing himself completely into reckless things--he's already freaked out his best friend twice with possible collapses, the second time being the definitive one.]

[immamartillo]

Really-?

[Wait, Firo's actually right? Even he looks surprised to have Crow agreeing with him, but he quickly covers it up by nodding and forcing a smile.]

Um, yeah. Good. So you'll make sure to take good care of yourself?

[The first step would probably be getting off the roof, but Firo's not so sure he actually wants to do that.]

[tomodachi]

[Crow certainly doesn't want to get off the roof yet, as he kicks some loose ice off the edge before making to sit down.] Sure, whatever--not like I wasn't doing that already.

[Well as far as "keeping our balance so that we don't fall off roofs", he means.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo watches the ice fall off the edge before turning back to look at Crow. He doesn't even try to hide the sarcasm in his voice.]

Yeah. Sure you were.

[He moves closer to the edge where Crow is.]

I doubt I could get you to keep off the roofs, but you know not to go too far into the woods and stuff, right?
