Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[He's half joking, those two have already shown they can take care of themselves--they'd probably be offended that Firo was even asking.]

Oh yeah. They're pretty capable kids, and the Professor's probably going to be with them as well.

[They could just meet each other there, but what's wrong with taking a walk together, too?]

Luke? Not that far inside, I don't think. He gets quite excited when talking about puzzles.

He did seem pretty worked up... But I think he was just mad when I talked to him.

...I think I told him puzzles weren't that important or somethin', and it bothered him a bit.

[Or he actively mocked Luke and the kid, like most people, wasn't too pleased about it.]

How was I supposed to know he'd get so upset?

[The way Luke was covering the town in puzzles probably should have been an indicator. And Firo had been trying to get a rise out of him, he just didn't think it'd be quite that bad.]

I think it's more that you generally don't make fun of something people enjoy, Firo.

[he's starting to smile now, though. Silly kids.]

[Firo pouts and hunches his shoulders to keep from squirming in discomfort.]

Y-yeah, I guess... I didn't mean for it to be that bad!

[He sighs. Now that it's completely laid out for him he has to admit that he was wrong.]

I guess it's too late to say sorry, huh?

It sounds like it happened a while ago, so I'm afraid so. Be easy on the poor kid, all right?

[He bites his lip. With most people, he'd be yelling at them by now. With Maiza, he feels suitably chastened.]

I will... I'm not tryin' to be mean or anything.

[He sighs.]

He seems like the type who might need friends.

[In other words, yes, Firo will try to be nice.]

This is true. Everyone could use more friends.

[He laughs a little and pats Firo's shoulder. Don't worry so much, buddy.]

Folks like him and Layton may react differently to the humor we share back home.

Yeah.

[The corner of his mouth twitches up in a half smile as he looks at Maiza.]

They're more uptight about it, you mean?

[As if someone as touchy as Firo has a right to call anyone else uptight.]

As in I think they're more polite with each other than Randy and Pezo are [to each other and you and the others too].

They're one of those guys who you wanna warn the rest not to discuss beating up thugs around, y'know?

...Right.

[He smiles; that's basically what he said!]

Yeah, exactly. It's like a different world, almost.

[Except they are from a different world, Firo means more of a different culture.]
