What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!
Where: All around the town square!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

A picnic? Sounds like a done deal! [With a squeeze on her hand.] How about I count us down this time?

[She inches closer to hold onto his arm.]

Three... two... one. [She can handle this!]

[wildbluevagner]

[He keeps a sturdy hold and a smile.]

Poof!

[And they bamf back over right into the middle of the fair.]

Now, where to start...

Whatever looks good? I'll make sure to grab things that come from my home too. Give you a taste of Kyoshi Island.

As long that "taste" isn't the ground, again. I'm starting to be afraid that will turn out to be the Kyoshi flavor.

Don't worry. You're safe. Beside, I, um... I like this. [She squeezed his hand. And she wasn't even lying either. It felt nice to be close to someone again. Yeah, it wasn't Sokka, and that felt weird an a bit wrong, but she ignored those feelings for the happier ones.]

And I really like Kyoshi food. I don't know if you know her, but apparently it's a lot like food from Sheena's world.

[Yep, there's the butterflies again.]

I don't think we've met. But I'll be glad to sample some!

Great! And we can grab some food from your world.

[She pulls him forward.] Come on. I know where to get some food from my world.

[And he scampers along at her pull.]

Of course! I'll show you some of my delicacies.

This place we're going wouldn't happen to be where we started, would it?

[Thinking.] I guess it is closer to that. Plus... I wouldn't mind changing my clothes. Unless you want to go on a date with a Kyoshi Warrior.

Well this was advertised as a formal date. But I could do for change-up too. How about this? We split up for a while, we each get changed and grab some food from our worlds plus a basket. Then we meet again in like half an hour by... how about by the fountain?

Got it. Though, you'll probably finish up long before I do. [Teasing~]

Hey, I'll take my time slipping into something more comfortable!

[And he gives her a sincere grin and squeezes her hand once more before releasing.]

[She smiles as he bamfs away. Going off to change and find some Japanese Kyoshi Island food.

When she finally does show up, she's wearing what she HOPES is a nice outfit. Not that she had any idea, but she figured her Kyoshi Warrior uniform and her Kyoshi Island clothes just weren't nice enough.

Dating was difficult business.

But she heads over to the fountain, expecting to find Kurt waiting for her.]

[He's there, relaxing in something like his normal clothes. Just with - thankfully - a belt for a hint of formality. He has a picnic basket in hand, and from the look on his face when he sees Suki approach, it's no mystery that he's awed by the outfit.]

Whoa! Suki... You're looking great!

[ex_tessen852]

[She could feel her face heating up as she blushed from his compliment. Though she told herself to stop, but she couldn't. It was just embarrassing.]

Um. Thanks. [Looking away for a second.] You look great too.

[She reached out to take his hand.] Shall we?

[This was going a lot better than he thought. Sometimes he felt some creeping guilt - remembering Amanda - but Suki was so nice and things were going so well... it wasn't hard to remember the advice he'd gotten. She'd want him to have a good time, and he's having a good time with Suki.

He grins bashfully and runs a hand through his hair before taking hers.]

Yes, let's! M'lady.

[She felt the guilt too. Guilty for moving on. Guilty for using Kurt. But at the same time this felt nice. So even though there was a flash of sadness in her expression, a smile still remained.]

Um... alright. Uh, M'lord?

[He raises an eyebrow with a grin.]

Lord Wagner approves. Now... where should we begin?

[Do not approve.]

I think I'm sticking with Kurt. But maybe we should find a spot first. And, um, maybe away from the crowd?

[wildbluevagner]

...Right, probably a good idea. [He says with a dutiful nod. But he's also nervous. What if she doesn't like being seen with him? How much worse would it be with his true form?]

Luckily, you have a magical spot-teleporter at your disposal. [He holds out his arm to her while lugging his basket in his free hand.]

[And she happily takes it.]

Good. Gives us a chance to get to know each other without... [Eyeing the fair.] Distractions.

[It's hard to be uncertain about her when she's smiling like that - and linking arms with him like that.]

Alright then. Three... two... one... go!

[Bamf! They're heading off to a clearing in the nearest patch of woods. Not too far from the fair. Some of the hustle and bustle could still be heard from the distance, but otherwise the clearing itself was humble and quiet.]
