[ Oh my, looks like the sun is about to go down! That is Kohan's cue to wander over by Ion for at least a little bit, because that potential temperature drop can be concerning okay. ]

Hey. You're not getting too cold out here, right?

[Why yes it is! And it is actually starting to get a bit chilly. Ion set the coat he brought here down somewhere, so all he has on is a light sweater.]

[But he still shakes his head.]

No, I've been all right. Though it does look like it's starting to get a bit chillier out now, doesn't it?

[And as if on a cue, a particularly cold breeze blows by -- and Ion shivers a bit.]

Yeah... didn't you bring a coat?

[ We should find it before it gets worse. ]

I did, but I set it down somewhere when I got here and realized how much warmer it was here compared to the village. But I can't seem to remember where...

[In truth, someone else might have just taken it, but Ion is hardly going to assume something like that!]

But I'll be fine. There are plenty of booths around here giving out hot chocolate, so if I get too cold, I'll just have a cup of that.

... That's not a long-term solution, Ion. And... what if you get sick again?

I'm not going to sick again, I promise. [Though he knows that's not really a promise he can swear to keep -- he knows how prone he is to colds, after all. But he also doesn't want Kohan worrying about him the whole night...]

If it really gets to be too much, I'll go warm up in one of those cabins. At least until I find my coat... all right?

Okay. Do you know where you might have left it? Maybe we can find it right now.

I thought I set it down near one of the booths, but when I went to check, it was already gone. So either I got the wrong booth, or it was moved somewhere...

[Spoilers: it was taken by one of those little harvest elves to encourage the drinking of hot chocolate instead. They aren't gonna find that coat.]

You don't suppose they have a lost and found booth somewhere?

[ Curse you, NPCs. ]

Probably at least worth a look, isn't it? Come on, I'll help you search.

[He nods.] Yes, of course. Thank you, Kohan.

[And off they go, to search the different booths!]

[And unless Kohan pulls his hand away, Ion's gonna hold his hand as they walk. This is totally manly hand-holding okay, nothing suspicious here.]

But there certainly is a lot of them, isn't there?

[ Manly and testosterone, yes ]

Yeah. It seems like a lot to just do out of the blue... I didn't think there were any holidays around now.

Maybe it's for a holiday they've never celebrated in Luceti before? After all, not all worlds share the same holidays. Most of the ones celebrated in Luceti don't exist back on Auldrant.

They're making a pretty big deal out of it, for something they've never celebrated before.

[ And of course just as he says that, the first fireworks go up, causing him to jump. ]

[Okay, sorry Kohan, but Ion chuckles a bit when he jumps. A-Aww.]

You're right. They even have fireworks... perhaps they have a reason to celebrate and just haven't told us yet?

[ stop laughing his pride is hurt over here ]

Y-yeah, maybe...

... Want to just... sit down for a bit, instead?

[ And, you know. Watch. ]

[Okaaay he stops laughing. But it was a little funny.]

I'd love to. [He gives Kohan's hand a light squeeze, pulling him along towards the grassy areas where they've got a better view.] Come on, I think I saw a good place to sit over here.

[ And Kohan will just let himself be pulled around. But he is totally starting to shrug off his own coat for a makeshift blanket to sit on okay. ]

[He stops them at a nice, grassy spot just as another firework shoots up into the sky. Fireworks weren't something Ion's seen very often, so his eyes light up just as brightly as the fireworks do.]

Oh, that was a big one! We can see them really well from here!

[ Which means it's time for Kohan to put his coat on the ground! Look at him trying to be romantic and stuff. ]

Yeah. You found a good spot. Do you want another drink, or do you think you're warm enough for now?

I don't think I'll need to worry about the cold right now.

[Not while he has his big, strong boyfriendo to cuddle up against for warmth. But he does really like hot chocolate so...]

But I wouldn't say no to one if you're offering?

[ He laughs. ]

I'm not carrying one in my back pocket, Ion. Maybe we'll just wait until after to get some more.

[ Said as he sits down and leans back to watch the show. Come on Ion time for some manly cuddles. ]

[He meant offering to go get some, but this works too! He sits beside Kohan and leans lightly against his shoulder, eyes turned up towards the sky as more fireworks shoot off. At least for now, he'll probably be paying for more attention to the fireworks than Kohan -- they're really cool okay.]

[ Yes but that would involve leaving Ion with Kohan's coat, and we don't want to lose BOTH of them now do we :|

But yes enjoy away. Kohan doesn't get to see fireworks much, either, so he's just watching the show as well. ]

[Oh come on, they hardly need coats when they have each other.]

[As the sun continues going down, the temperature continues to drop, making Ion shiver. He doesn't say anything, but he does lean just a bit closer to Kohan, resting his head against his shoulder. D'awww.]

[ He can feel that shivering.

As nice as the fireworks are, Kohan would rather not have a boyfriend suffering from frostbite on him. ]

Hey... maybe we should warm up a bit now.
