What: ~~Broship~~; just Naoki and Ted, c’mon. Hanging out…kinda.
When: Friday.
Where: Community Building 7, Floor 5, Room 21.
Summary: So Nami and Usopp have gone home. Naoki isn’t exactly in the best of moods. Solution: run to Ted, of course.
Rating: Idek. Nothing over PG. Barely over G? ...but here's a warning for SAP. So. Much. Sap.

[Gone. Naoki couldn’t believe it. He didn’t even want to believe it. It was easier to deny that they weren’t gone, not both of them within a few days. It wasn’t fair.

And he knew he was being a brat about it. A selfish one. Because he didn’t want them to go where he couldn’t see them anymore. He wanted them h—no. It was a thought that he couldn’t help but be angry at himself for. It was the thought that had drove him outside into the cold wind and snow, hands buried in his pockets and eyes fixed on the ground.

He wasn’t sure where to go. He’d left a note for Isamu and Richard and would likely contact them over the journals later but for now, he just—

Naoki stops, looks up. Community building 7…huh? He hadn’t even noticed his feet leading him here. But without preamble he was entering and scaling the steps. He had almost expected his body to take him here. There was just something…heh. He wanted to see Ted, he guessed. Somehow he was comforted around him. Soon enough he’d reach the door to his apartment and if his knock received no answer…he would sit on the floor next to it.

[He snorts in reply.] What are we making then?

Tempura, I think. What kind depends on what ingredients you've got around. [He shifts to lead the way to the kitchen.]

We should have shrimp around. [He grins.] Frozen, of course, but hopefully it's not too different. [He's aware of the difference of taste in fresh and frozen goods, at least.]

Heh, I think it'll taste good, frozen or not. [He nods his head and moves to start to gather together ingredients and supplies.]

If I don't burn anything. [He'll get the oil and pans ready then.]

Hey, just count on me. I'll keep you from burning anything.

My hero. [He says cheerfully, whether he's serious or not isn't really all that hard to tell.] Let's start then!

[Naoki laughs at that and turns to the ingredients.] Let's. Okay, so--just pay attention. [And here we go through Naoki explaining how to put tempura together (because the mun is lazy this morning).]

[With instruction, Ted's actually pretty good at getting stuff done. As long as Naoki keeps his hands away from random spices Ted might think to add in, especially those that would just make it taste horrible, it wouldn't take him too long to learn. After all, his biggest downfall, it seems, was his unending desire to experiment with the ingredients.]

[Naoki will keep Ted away from random spices--there will be no experimenting here, not in Naoki's kitchen...okay so it's Ted's. Details, details. Either way, he tosses a glance in his direction as the tempura nears completion.] Hmm, I think this about does it...think you can remember how to make it on your own?

[He shall protest your hindrance to his creative endeavors! ... Only not really because you're the expert here.] It doesn't seem so tough, actually. I should be fine making this.

[Darn right he's the expert.] Really? Then, great. You can add it to your repertoire.

One day I'll be able to make a gourmet menu out of everything you'll teach me, I'm sure.

Make sure I'm the first one to taste your gourmet food.

I can certainly try! Hope you don't end up with a stomachache.

I'm sure it'll be fine!

Don't say I didn't warn you! Are these good already?

Yup! Hand me a couple of plates?

Coming right up! [Going off to grab some, and the proper eating utensils too.]

[Naoki grins and turns the oven off, shifting slightly and waiting for them to put the food on. He's hungry now, as the groooowl his stomach makes seems to say.]

[Ted looks amused at that growl, and his face pretty much says his thoughts. Someone's eager. He does hand over the plates wordlessly, looking at the tempura with slight suspicion in case it didn't taste as good as it should.]

[Naoki moves the food onto plates and offers one to him with a grin.] Wanna eat back in your place?

By all means! Come on, let's take over the couch. [Taking that plate happily then, before pausing for a moment.] On second thought, you bring these back first, I'll go and wash up. [Rather than leave a mess here and all.]
