Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

[Albert keeps his door open, though he is not in plain sight. He has requested a larger desk next to the entertainment center, so he may be obscured from view.

But the reason for the open door is clear. He's expecting questions.]

[ buffy's knock is infinitely more chipper than the expression on her face. ]

[chikaidestroyer]

[Albert tilts his head as he hears the door knock, but his eyes don't trail away from the map he's looking at until a full moment later.]

Buffy? Come in.

[herotypical]

[ and come in she does. ]

Feeling suitably rushed and under-prepared, yet?

Hah. Not yet. [Even if he was, he certainly would not say so.] Restless?

[herotypical]

Tough not to be. Back home, we'd just weapon up and head out. Waiting's tough on a girl who thinks with her fists.

[ self-deprecating. she knows he knows her brain isn't so out of the picture. ]

Well, you will have your chance soon enough. But there are still too many hours to stand around restlessly. [He gestures to the button.] Make use of what is here. I'm sure there are a few things that you miss that you cannot get in the village.

[Caesar is a little surprised to see his brother's door open, but he understands why. And he appreciates it. It makes infiltrating his room so much easier.

Even though Caesar only has his usual threats warnings advice to impart, he shuts the door behind him. He wouldn't be here long, but he didn't like the idea of (other) eavesdroppers listening in, either.]

You sure know how to make yourself look busy.

[He raises a brow when he hears the door shut, frowning in that direction -- and frowning even more when he sees who it is standing there.]

Looking busy is only part of it.

Is it? Could have fooled me. [He's kidding, of course. Even so, he doesn't try to make himself comfortable this time. He knows that Albert has a lot to do, and he knows that if he does decide to relax here, he isn't going to want to leave.] How is everything going?

[Albert goes to the request button, pressing it. A bottle of Kanakan wine appears on his side table.] As well as you would expect. The extra draftees are still an unknown variable.

You wouldn't say otherwise. [He was pretty sure Albert wouldn't admit to anyone, let alone him, if he were having some kind of trouble. Not that he had expected him to have trouble in the first place. He crosses his arms, tilting his head at the comment—he isn't surprised to see Albert's usual requested item appear over on that table.] Seems a little desperate, huh?

They may very well be reacting to the residents' sentiments. You cannot deny that they have been voicing their frustrations a little too loudly.

[Sokka knocks on the side of the door. It's not really about strategy, he just has something to drop off.]

[chikaidestroyer]

[He looks over at the knock, rising from his chair when he sees who it is at the door.]

Sokka.

[markofthewise]

Hey Albert. Busy?

[Even as he says that, he's digging through his bag for something.]

[chikaidestroyer]

Not at this moment. [He watches as Sokka goes through his bag.] Did you have something you wished to talk about?

[markofthewise]

I wanted to give you something.

[Out comes a small black device, Sokka sets it on Albert's desk.]

It's a two way radio. Last time I was out in the fight, Don had us use shell cells. They're faster and easier to use than the journals. If you guys need to make a retreat, you can just call me up and we'll be ready to meet up with you guys. Or if you need reinforcements, whatever. Maybe you just want to know how we're doing. That kind of thing.

[chikaidestroyer]

Ah yes. [He nods as he averts his gaze to the device.] We used similar devices when we were infiltrating the rogue facility. Do you know anything of its range capabilities?

[It's not every day that the strategist's door is open. But she'll wait until she's finished her own preparations... and until the traffic to and from his room has died down before she visits.]

[chikaidestroyer]

[The traffic dies down within a few hours of their arrival, once everyone has temporarily settled into that restless pre-battle state. Albert's door remains open, even though he has moved from his maps and notes to his side table, positioned by the request service button.

He seems to be requesting a variety of things, from papers to medicines to foods.]

[She knocks on the door to get his attention, because it would be rude just to walk in. And interrupt his order.]

[He glances at the door, dropping his hand as it was heading up to the request button again.]

Come in.

[wise_maiden]

[She steps inside, and tilts her head at his position.] Was I interrupting?

[chikaidestroyer]

[He waves dismissively.] Even if you were, the door was open for a reason. Is there something I can do for you, Raine?
