Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

[You want to know what makes you potentially the coolest person in the party? Being the dude catching waves on a surfboard and being able to teleport, board and all, to the best waves. Actually he'd probably just make real surfers frown at his antics, but he never got to abuse his powers and surf at the same time before. His conclusion? It's super cool.

He'll be out there and on the beach next to his board from time to time. Ladies, he's doing this for your benefit. Because a furry blue demon monkey thing that surfs is obviously what you should find attractive.]

[Attractive? ...Well, she does at least find him amusing. She's just sitting on a blanket for now, still feeling a little tired but not wanting to miss a chance to enjoy the ocean. Whenever Kurt surfs by, though, she's definitely giggling.]

[Once Kurt realizes he has an audience, expect him to show off a little more. Like surfing on one foot, or on his hands, or teleporting himself and his board ABOVE the wave so can land on it in epic fashion.]

[Hopefully he doesn't hurt himself. Mia is seriously considering going for a swim, after watching his antics.]

[Your concerns are well founded, Mia. His next stunt results in a wipe out. He and the board go flying in the air and then into the water. Whoops.]

[What in the world... Strange blue thing, definitely not human, riding on the water with some sort of board. And teleporting.

This youkai is intrigued by your antics, furry blue demon monkey. She'll be watching like a hawk from a distance much further up the beach.]

[Oh sup, is that another fan on shore? He's going to assume she just thinks he's awesome, so more showing off is in order. So he's going to teleport to the top of a wave and ride it out. On his hands.]

[WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT? Thoroughly intrigued now by this impressive display. She's seen people who can teleport before, but they don't normally decide to ride waves, let alone do it on their hands.

Oh. And they're not normally blue. This is also important.

Still watching, still very interested. But not in a 'wow that's so amazing' sort of way, but a more of a 'this guy clearly isn't human and must be watched' sort of way. Yup.]

[That's because when it comes to close range teleportation, nobody tops Nightcrawler in awesome. He'll carry on like this for another ten minutes or so before teleporting back to shore. He plants his board into the sand and then sits in its shadow on the sand. He can't be seen now from her point of view, though. But he knows she was watching. He's waiting to see if she'll come over.]

[OK. The first time he cut in front of her wave, it was kind of annoying.

The second time? It was downright irritating.

The third time, Katara's had it. She reaches out and - for a moment, but a moment's all she needs - stops the wave he's riding.]

[bamfing]

[Hey, don't be hating just because you're like the slowest surfer ever.

When the wave suddenly stops, he loses all momentum and starts to wipe out. His saving grace is that he lowers his stand to crouch on all fours on the board, teleporting both him and his implement with him.

And then he reappears in the air over Katara, facing the opposite direction, to go land in the waves she's not freezing.]

[The wave starts to move immediately he teleports - she has to give him props for fast reflexes, at least.]

[That brings him to a stop and he rides out the rest of his wave to join her.]

Hey Katara! [He's eyeing her 'board' now.] Doesn't that freeze your feet?

[Nothing like a pretty girl appreciating his showing off. He's quite satisfied to hear that! And he was even thinking about having another go at it.]

Well, only because I'm cheating a bit, yeah? I couldn't handle the big stuff. [Scott's brother is way better at it than Kurt ever will be.]

[See, Ven could probably surf just fine. However, teleporting? Other than time splicer, he could never pull this off!

When he gets back to shore though, he gives Ven a thumbs up. Cuz yeah, Kurt is cool like that.]

[Well. This is Ven, a shounen derp who still doesn't understand this whole pleasing the ladies thing.

Still, he's a friendly kiddo, and he doesn't look that phased by Kurt's blue appearance.]

That was really cool! How hard was it to pull off?

[Oh, questions! Kurt stops and turns.]

Ahh, that? It was nothing. Easy. [When you have the power to stick to walls, staying on your surfboard is a little TOO easy.]

[It's good to see a familiar face among the crowd at the beach...with all these people around whom she doesn't know, it's a little overwhelming. Hikari will approach as he poses with his surfboard, waving timidly. Despite being a bikini, her white swimsuit somehow manages to be decently modest.]

[Decently modest, but still pretty hot. He grins when he spots her.]
